Chapter 6: A Strong Heart

After finishing his homework, Jiang Fei quickly walked to his bed at exactly 10 p.m. This time, Jiang Fei dressed up, made himself comfortable, slipped himself into his bed, and closed his eyes.

“Alright! Time hit the hay! I mean — times to start the game!” Excitedly, Jiang Fei stretched out a ring on his finger and rubbed it gently.

*woosh*

After a flash of white light, Jiang Fei was sent into the game.

“Ah! My-Baby~ My Love! I'll be in your care today too!” jiang Fei said, grinning at the ring.

“Ding! You've eliminated Fork-Wielding Cat. Earn 50 Experience Points!”

“Ding! Congratulations Verdure Glider Players have reached Level 8! All Attributes +2!”

“Finally. Jeez, the experience is brutal in this game.” Jiang Fei muttered, sighing heavily. All the quests in Beginner's Village were completed yesterday. Jiang Fei could only grind and kill monsters, gaining a bit of experience at one time, hoping to level up. To be honest, the monsters here were too weak. In fact, any greenhorn player could easily dispatch these monsters. Jiang Fei, on the other hand, was a veteran MMORPG player. But even the most experienced veterans struggle with the same old problems. Too many players, too few monsters. There were too many players and too few monsters for everyone to play.

“Hei! You're there! This is our grass! Buzz off!”

As Jiang Fei let his momentum control itself, someone roared at him. Three male players walked towards him, clearly wanting his favorable position.

“Hm?”

Jiang Fei turned around, frowning. Due to the special function of the ring, Jiang Fei was not affected by the restrictions of the game system that protected the privacy of players. Jiang Fei could see the names and Levels of the players, as clear as day. Their names were not entirely original or creative; Hungry Wolves, Poisonous Wolves, and Wicked Wolves. He had heard those names. They have made a small name for themselves as bullies. Although they were Level 8 at the time, PvP was restricted in the Village of Beginners. Jiang Fei had no reason to fear them. However, things could become troublesome if the three decided to snatch his assassination. This could severely hinder his progress.

“Hei boy! Know your place and go! We are the Tri-Wolf gang! Cross us, and things won't end well for you!” the Hungry Wolf's. He seems to be their leader.

“What if I don't know my place? What are you going to do about it?” Jiang Fei mocked them. He has no intention of retreating.

Even since Jiang Fei first started playing the game, he had never let anyone step on him. The boy has talent, though not the type to put him in any of the top 10 positions. However, things have changed with this mystery ring! 10 Types of top position changes! With the ring in his hand, Jiang Fei became much more confident. Her mindset..His courage..His heart...His heart is strong man!

“Hoho... Bad boy, who are you to act arrogant here?” the Hungry Wolf said, spitting on the ground, trying to imitate some western cowboys.

“ck.” Jiang Fei clicked his tongue coldly.

“Hei! Are you out of your mind? I thought you had lived long enough to die today! The Evil Wolf shouted at Jiang Fei.

Jiang Fei glanced at the Evil Wolf coldly before turning to the Hungry Wolf.

“The three of you should enjoy this moment while you still can. Very friendly advice. Try not to leave the Beginner Village so quickly, ” Jiang Fei said monotonously. His voice carried a tone so cold, that the three of them felt a chill shivering on their backs.

“Jesus Christ. He's just a little boy! Why am I so afraid of him!" The Hungry Wolf thought to himself.

“Bad boys. I don't know what kind of arrogant life you lived up to this date, but you ended up running out of luck when you met us! When you leave this Beginner Village, we will find you, and we will make sure that you start expecting a simple death!” the Wolves of Vicious.

At that moment, the Hungry Wolf received a message. “The Hungry Wolf, where are the three of you! Chief found the mini boss here. Bring your ass here, quick!”

The Hungry Wolf froze in his steps and quickly called out to his companion. “Enough with this fucking head. Chairman calls us.”

“Hmph! You're lucky this time, son. Next time we see your thin, dry face, we'll beat him up! You better pray that we don't meet outside Pemula Village. We will kill you, and we will keep killing you!” The Evil Wolf said before rotating dramatically.

As they rushed off, Jiang Fei sneered. With the ring in hand, he would be far ahead of everyone, including the three wombats. Give it a little more time, and they'll know who the prey is and who the predator is.

Jiang Fei's goal today was quite easy and straightforward. He wanted to reach Level 10 before the day ended and leave the Beginner Village.

“Ding! You have obtained the Long Smooth Tiger Sword Hard!”

“Yes! And finally! Some decent equipment!”

Jiang Fei smiled widely as a weapon fell from the Cat Using the Fork.

Dawn Break is absolutely amazing. From various sights, replay value, end-game content, weapon design, immersion, everything is perfect! The only source of frustration is a very low drop rate.

In the early stages of the game, almost all players in the Beginner Village would still be stuck with the six White level equipment obtained from the quest rewards. Only a handful of luckier players could walk with a superior monster loot. Even so, they would still be White class. Green classes are still practically non-existent!

Jiang Fei excitedly picked up the long sword from the ground. It was Green class, a good weapon. Even with the ring cheat hack tool in his hand, he had only managed to plant four pieces of White-level equipment after two days! Farming will never be easy from now on.

You could say, this was the part that Jiang Fei had left behind. If he bought the original game pod to play Dawn Break legitimately, he would get the game manual. The manual explains in detail how the game actually works. Equipment that could be farmed in Beginner's Village had a higher drop rate compared to other regions. In fact, the monsters of the outside world would not even drop any equipment. Equipment can only be found by killing the boss. Another way to get equipment is to rely on the Profession!

Dawn Break has been dubbed as the second world. In addition to the fantasy genres of games, society, economy, and community are all based on the real world. Not all players like to dirty their hands by killing monsters. In the game, you can easily live your life as a non-combatant. After reaching Level 10, players could even become Chefs, Tailors, Iron Sages, and Merchants.

Unfortunately, in addition to the legitimate options, what is considered illegal by the real world such as cheating, theft, robbery, and many other crimes cannot be controlled in the game. It was a hostile world, and one needed to pay extra caution when one attempted to make their mark.

Professional players can produce their own equipment, but that requires major advances in their specialties. Any player below Level 10 had yet to be able to create their own equipment. This was why equipment was so rare in the Pemula Village.

The Long Smooth Purple Tiger Sword (Two-Handed Sword, Smooth)

Physical Attack +12

Power: +2

Agility: +1

Level Requirements: 7

With the Human Race, this Green grade level 7 longsword would provide a total of 14 physical attacks. +14 does not sound much, though, but it was much stronger compared to the +4 Physical Attack White grade Dagger that Jiang Fei was currently using.

After equipping the Green-class weapon, Jiang Fei's physical attacks had increased by at least 30%. Suffice it to say, he started killing monsters at the same speed even faster!

“Ding! You killed Fork-Wielding Cat. Earn 55 Experience Points!”

“Ding! You killed Strawman. Earn 40 Experience Points!”

“Ding! Congratulations to the Verdure Glider player for reaching Level 9! All Attributes +2!”

Five hours into the game, Jiang Fei had gained a Level. He only stayed one more Level after graduating!

“Yes! Looks like reaching Level 10 won't be a problem!” Jiang Fei persuaded.
