Chapter 11: inevitable promotions
While undergoing the entire afternoon class session, Jiang Fei had received many small papers given to him by the girls in his class. There was even one paper that came from another class!
Jiang Fei had never experienced such a happy moment when he was just a nerdy gamer! The euphoric moment did not stop there. While Jiang Fei was actually listening to the teacher's words, he could feel the gazes of others coming from all directions!
It made Jiang Fei feel excited! Not in the wrong way. He was excited to get back into the game as soon as he could! Whatever happened that day was thanks to the level 10 Green class boots! Only Level 10! It transformed Jiang Fei from an ordinary hickey nerdy gamer into a professional NBA-class basketball player! In just one morning, she had become a star attraction! In the future, if he could get more powerful equipment, becoming Superman was not a dream but a reality!
As his mind floated along the idea of obtaining more and more powerful equipment, he became extremely agitated! When school was over, he ran home and finished his dinner and homework at lightning speed. Jiang Fei was bombarded with the sounds of the city; players were busy roaming the streets, merchants were selling their items, a distinctive sound that would be heard even in the real world.
The city he is in is one of China's four main server cities. The place he was at was called Dawnlight City which was located in the Northeast. The other three were called Saintlight City in the Southeast, Sunrise City in the Southwest, and Twilight City in the Northwest.
Although it was only the third day since the server launched, the city was full of life. Several players had already gathered to form their own guild!
"I have to head to the classroom progress hall." Jiang Fei thought to himself as he pondered the Class system. The best classes he used were Warrior and Assassin. He thought that he should look for a respected classroom Instructor and compare the differences before choosing one.
It wasn't difficult for Jiang Fei to search the Class advancement hall because it was located in the heart of the city.
“Young man, you seem to be going to be a good Warrior! We, warriors, have the most powerful bodies and souls! We are the best and mandatory fighters in every battle!” an Instructor said as Jiang Fei approached him.
“Adventure? Do you want to learn the art of an Assassin? We grow in the shadow. Silent and deadly. The last thing your enemies will see before they die is the sword light hitting them!” said an Assassin Instructor who disappeared from the shadows.
Jiang Fei thought about it for a while and since it was inconvenient for him to join Zhao Feng, or anyone to play, he thought that he should choose Assassin instead. A single adventurer.
“I chose to be Assassin!” Jiang Fei voiced his wish to the Instructor in the shadows.
“Related but not terrible decisions. You can talk to other Instructors and talk to the people you are interested in, ” the Assassin Instructor said solemnly.
“Hah? I thought I said I want to, ”Jiang Fei keeps talking.
“Please don't waste my time. If you don't want to learn the art of shadow, please leave Me alone,” the Instructor said as he gestured for her to continue walking.
“What happened?” Jiang Fei grumbled.
I just said that I want to be an Assassin. Why would he think otherwise?
As Jiang Fei was talking to the Instructor, Jiang Fei did not realize that something was going on. The ring shone in a faint silvery light.
Ignoring what had happened, Jiang Fei moved to the Warrior Instructor as he gave up on the first choice.
“Excuse me. I want to be a warrior.”
Waita minute…
“What happened! Yo! I told you I wanted to be a Warrior!” Jiang Fei roared.
“Please don't waste my time. If you don't want to be a strong Warrior, run and find someone else to talk to!”
The Warrior Instructor turned his back on Jiang Fei.
“FML! What's?! System nge-bug?!”
Restless, Jiang Fei moved to a nearby Instructor.
“I want to be a Witch.”
“It's okay. Please talk to other Instructors and find a Class that really suits you.”
“I want to be priest.”
“Everything is fine. Please talk to another Instructor and find a Class that really suits you.”
“Oh, no! That's you! You did this!" jiang Fei shouted as he finally realized what had happened. The problem was that he had already asked all the possible Class Instructors that existed when he finally realized that the ring was making it difficult for him!
Every time he spoke to the Class Instructor, the ring would glow faintly. When that happened, the Instructor Jiang Fei spoke to would see Jiang Fei reject them.
“Fuck, small metal blowhole! What beef do you have with me? I can't be that. I can't be this. What class can I get?!”
*woosh*
The ring shone slightly brighter and a small beam of light shone on the other side of the hall. Jiang Fei started frowning furiously. The ring pointed towards the Professional Instructor! More specifically, Blacksmith!
“What the fuck? A profession? You want me to take Blacksmith as my main ?! No!" Jiang Fei rejected the idea almost spontaneously.
In Dawn Break, the player can progress more in his own class. In this game, Professions and Classes fall into the same category; they can only take one, unlike other games where Professions are considered as secondary classes or support classes, respectively, or most commonly known as the profession. Other MMORPGs allow players to take multiple Professions and sometimes, multiple Combat Classes such as****Fantasy XIV.
That was the reason why Jiang Fei rejected the idea of taking Blacksmithing as his main. After dwelling in his sea of thoughts, Jiang Fei turned to the ring and asked, "Can I at least get a Combat Class?"
Ringing does not respond.
“Listen, if you think by making me Iron-Savvy, I can't keep giving you gear! That's impossible!” jiang Fei said but the ring remained silent.
“Good! I give. You won." Jiang Fei let out a heavy sigh. So, Iron Man, it is. Jiang Fei was in a dilemma. His father would not allow him to play games. The only thing he could play was to use the power of the ring. If he wanted to continue playing the game, he would have to listen, no, obey the order of the ring to become an Iron Clever! He has no choice there. He relied on the ring to gain strength! Without the ring, he could not pull items from the game into the real world. In the end, his dream of becoming as strong as Superman was more important to him than playing games.
“Excuse me. I want to be Iron Smart.”
Jiang Fei approached the Instructor.
“Haha! Sprite young' one ain't cha! Good eyes you're there. Trust me! Blacksmitin' is the best job!”
“Ding! The Master of Blacksmiths, Krug Sarteen, wants to promote you to become an Iron Clever Intern. Do you want to continue?”
As it turned out, the ring did not shine and Jiang Fei finally received a prompt window to become an Iron Clever Apprentice.
