"Mothers. That's Mum?"
Yati asked the doctor. He could not believe what he was seeing right now.
In front of him, in the patient's bed or cage, there is someone who has been covered with a white cloth. His whole body was tightly shut.
Of course, Yati did not believe what she saw now. He could not believe that if the person covered with white cloth was his own mother.
Mother who last night just stayed, is fine. Although not with his psyche, normally, just like most people outside of this mental hospital.
Yati's head was dodged a few times. He was completely in disbelief, with his eyesight at the moment. "Dok, don't joke around and make fun of me with jokes like this. Today is not April Fool." Yati said to the doctor, feeling uneasy.
"We don't believe it either. But you can read what he left for you earlier" said the doctor, pointing at Yati's hand, where she had handed him a piece of paper, which he found along with his mother's body, near the bed.
But Yati kept quiet and did not open her hands. He did not want to read any of the messages, which were in the paper. She wanted to see her mother, who could no longer hold her, just like yesterday.
The doctor just now, continued to supervise and accompany Yati. He also did not want anything to happen to the child of his patient, who of course would never have believed, if his mother had just been found by security guards who went around every room, this morning, this morning, about six in the morning.
It happened not long ago. And at that moment, in the inn, Yati had just finished her bath, and was looking in the mirror. And accidentally, he nudged the mirror, until it broke apart.
But since the incident was also unintentionally done, Yati also did not have any premonition. He continued his activities and had breakfast as usual. After that, he just went to the hospital, to accompany his mother. Just like he did every day, during this time in Singapore.
There were no tears flowing, as Yati looked at her mother's face, which seemed calm in silence, for all eternity.
After being satisfied to see her face, Yati asked the doctor for permission, to kiss her mother, for the last time, before being cleaned and pardoned.
The doctor allowed Yati, with what she wanted.
With all her feelings, Yati Tetao tried to be able to withstand the sadness that was in her own heart, and also tried to keep her tears from interfering, by flowing and dripping, even though it was not intentional though.
After feeling quite confident in everything she was trying to do, Yati touched her mother's cheek one last time, with both hands.
"Yati sincerely Ma'am. Go away quietly. If this is the best way to live your life. I'm sincere. But if this is intentional or sabotage, Yati promises, will seek the truth and the culprit until she finds it."
Shortly after, after saying all that in front of her mother's face, Yati kissed her mother's cheeks, with all the feelings in her heart.
Fortunately, the effort made by Yati, to hold back and also her tears, was successful until she herself covered her mother's face again, with a white cloth that had been used to cover it.
Yati walked towards the doctor's establishment, which also had several nurses and also the guard of this hospital.
"Do according to the procedures in this hospital. Give also all the reports, how he was found by the guards, in a state of lifelessness, and the time of the incident as well. I will not demand anything, if all the reports from this hospital side, no engineering. Because I can certainly find evidence, if there is something that does not match the report made, and I receive it later.
Yati's voice sounded resolute and uncharacteristic. Of course, some of the nurses and hospital guards, who had gotten used to meeting and talking to him became astonished.
They were all also shocked, if the weak girl, who used to accompany her sane mother, became like that.
After saying all that, Yati came out of the IGD isolation room. He walked quickly, heading towards the bathroom, which was at the end of the hallway.
Yati spilled all the sadness and disappointment she felt in the bathroom.
Her cries made no sound, but her tears, flowing profusely, could not two weirs anymore.
As a geisha who has learned a lot of self-restraint and facial expressions, Yati can certainly handle it if there are other people around.
But all that he has learned, will not be of any use, if he is in this state, alone in his grief, for the loss of a mother, which he sought for a long time.
But unfortunately, right now it means nothing. He was really weak, and also did not know, what he would experience after this.
When she remembered the piece of paper that the doctor had given her, and she had kept it in her pants pocket, Yati immediately looked for it, because she also wanted to know what her mother had written, in that paper.
*Make my son Yati.
Forgive Mom Son. I couldn't take care of you all this time. I'm also sorry, for not being able to accompany you, as you've wanted all along.
Mommy has to go. It is for your happiness and your safety.
You have to go, and live as you normally do, and you don't have to think about you.
I'm doing all this for the good of everyone, especially for you, my son.
Don't look for your father. He no longer exists in this world.
I'll catch up with your father, and be happy with him in the sky.
Hopefully in the future, you can be happy.
Your mother*.
Yati's cry grew louder, and it looked from the shocks of her shoulders. Even though his voice sounded just a mere whim.
It was because Yati was still trying hard, to keep restraint, so as not to cry loudly, in a loud voice.
He did not want to be the center of attention, where this was a public bathroom, which was in the hospital.
After a while, Yati wiped her tears. He also let out a long sigh, then threw it away slowly, to relieve his chest that felt tight.
Closing her eyes, Yati tries to digest what really happened to her mother, with a message delivered through the paper.
"Where did you get that paper? And how could the mother suddenly decide to commit suicide, by swallowing all her medicine. Not that the mother's medicines are stored by the nurse, and only given to the mother, when it's time to drink."
All sorts of questions, were present in Yati's heart and mind. I don't know what other puzzles are in his life this time.
Now, Yati washed her face, so that it would no longer look crumpled and fresher. She also tidied her hair, with a comb that was inside the bag. Reflect and smile faintly, to forget all the sadness that was in his heart.
After feeling good enough and being able to control her feelings and emotions, Yati came out of the bathroom. He walked towards his mother's room, where the guard found himself dead this morning.
"Miss-Justice! Sorry Miss. You are forbidden to enter the room."
A guard who happened to pass by, forbade Yati to enter the room, which was her mother's room.
The nurse banned him because the room was under investigation.
"Why?" ask Yati, who pretended not to know, what happened inside the room.
"The room was being vacated, because the patient who occupied the room, was found lifeless this morning Miss."
"What causes?" ask Yati again, wondering, what news is circulating in this hospital, about her mother who killed herself.
