After college, Keysa and Disti walked together back to the dormitory. Along the way, the two remained silent. Not even in the dormitory did a word come out of their mouths. Until, arriving at the door of the room, Disti just started talking and apologizing for the incident.
"I'm sorry" said Disti, stopping Keysa's move to open the door. "I'm sorry, Key."
Keysa turned his head, seeing that Disti who was standing next to him was looking down while playing the pitted fingers.
"Why apologize to me? Apologize to yourself" Keysa replied slightly. He was still a little annoyed at his friend, who was willing to kneel down and apologize, even though he had done nothing wrong.
"Tuition here was my dream since childhood. But, you know, Key, I'm not a rich man. My parents are only farmers in the village, the income will not be enough to finance me here. I can go here because I got a scholarship. Then what about the others? How am I living here? To go to college here I need a lot of money to survive. I'm not willing that they destroy our business. Only from there can I earn money quickly because the salary from part time work is paid monthly." With a sad face, Disti tried to explain the reason until she was willing to kneel before Felly. Tears can't be held back just like that.
Actually Keysa also understood the state of Disti, but he was sad to see Disti who was willing to kneel just for money. Seeing the sad face that did not dare to look at him, Keysa then hugged Disti.
"I understand, Dis. Even very well understood. Sorry because of my actions you were also affected," said Keysa. "I know you're a good person, but I don't think you should be putting yourself down in front of them. Do not doubt we people do not have, we just want to be insulted by them. Humble should be, but humble do not. Once they succeed in humbling us, we will forever be trampled. Love ourselves, cherish ourselves, so that people do not take us for granted." Keysa spoke at length, only to be answered by a nod by a friend who was still hugging him.
"Where do I get inspiration, huh? It seemed like my brain was shifting a little, suddenly becoming wise like this," Keysa joked as he unraveled their embrace, making the two laugh.
The atmosphere between the two again melted as usual. Keysa and Disti laughed off hearing Keysa's joke.
Suddenly the door of the room opened and a girl came out from there, making their laughter stop. As Keysa remembered, the door to the room had been locked.
The girl looked shocked when she saw Keysa and Disti, and vice versa.
"Do you live in this dormitory?" ask the girl.
Keysa and Disti exchanged looks.
"Did you know my name is Gabby." The girl reached out her hand while introducing herself.
"Keyisa."
"Disti."
Keysa and Disti also introduced each other. Gabby has a pretty face, but is shy. Evidently when Keysa and Disti noticed it, Gabby immediately lowered her head with a face that met red.
After introducing themselves to each other, they entered, then chatted for a while.
"Why did you suddenly go back to living in the dorm?" tanya Disti, after knowing that Gabby was the occupant of their room long before Keysa and Disti inhabited the room.
"Because there's a bit of personal business" Gabby replied, as if she didn't want to give the reason for the details.
Keysa and Disti had no intention of extending their question. Until, suddenly there was a loud buzz at the door that surprised the three.
"I see first" replied Disti, then went to see who was at the door.
However, not yet stepped up, Gabby had blocked and asked Disti not to open the door.
"Why can't it? Who knows the important person," replied Disti and Keysa simultaneously.
"Can you not ask?!" Disti's question was answered by a question that impressed Gabby's command.
Disti and Keysa fell silent, hearing Gabby's words.
"Eh, dislodged!" Disti who was still standing immediately sat down in shock as the door was pushed back very hard.
"Gab, Gabby's out!" the man at the door called out to Gabby. "Gabby out! I know you're inside. Come outside! There's something I want to talk about," the man shouted again, as he continued to pound the door.
Disti looked at Keysa, as if the girl's eyeballs were asking 'what is it?'. Meanwhile the one being stared at only shrugged both of his shoulders, equally ignorant.
Gabby walked towards the door, but instead of opening the door, she told the man to leave.
"Go! I don't want to see you" Gabby told the door-blocked man.
"No. We need to talk first. Come outside! We're talking about everything okay." The guy outside keeps asking Gabby out.
"There's nothing more to talk about between us. So, go!" gabby replied, taking care of his stance.
Gabby's conversation with the people outside made Keysa and Disti even more confused.
After some time, finally the sound of buzzing stopped and the person at the door also left. Gabby then walked to her bed and lay down with a sad face. He doesn't talk anymore. Meanwhile, Disti also left because she had to work again.
Keysa, who has no job, chose to sit back in his bed. At first glance look towards the bed next door, but not the movement of the owner. Whether sleeping or crying, Keysa doesn't know because Gabby is behind her.
The atmosphere in the room was very quiet and saturating. Finally, to treat his saturation Keysa reopened the laptop and opened his social media. There's a message coming in again. Upon seeing it turns out the message was from Ezra.
[Faya, I'm sorry. Maybe I'm not polite enough to ask you to meet. I really didn't mean it that way. But, if you don't want to meet, can we start from making friends online first?]
Reading Ezra's message, Keysa realized one thing. After this morning, he did not see Ezra again at the college.
"Where did he go?"
