Engagement Cancellation

California, United States.
"Should we attend this event?" ask Alex to friends since his college days—Jake Cipher.
The handsome crown prince of Levine Enterprises buttoned his shirt sleeves lazily. Alex's voice sounded a little tense.
Though he has never turned down a party since this past year—at least since he got engaged to Luna Gross, an up-and-coming producer in Hollywood who is always looking for a favorable connection to his job.
Luna Gross loves to party. The festive events are usually filled with sponsors, famous people, or other important people that he can collaborate with, or he offered the latest project proposal from his entertainment company, of course, all his efforts were to skyrocket his career as a producer.
And Alex, as her fiance, inevitably ends up following Luna's lifestyle that way. Although Alex's career in the showbiz world sometimes also requires him to attend such lavish parties, but Alex himself prefers to enjoy his me time by staying in his comfortable apartment, and get immersed in her favorite movies or do her hobby of cleaning.
"Yes, gotta! It's one of the biggest charity events in California, and we're both part of the party that sponsored the event. You remember?" jake Cipher answered while choosing the suit he will wear tonight.
"Well, I think you're right," Alex replied lethargicly. The man appeared to throw himself on a single sofa in Jake's room, then let out a long sigh while looking down.
"Ooh, come on.. What's wrong with you, Dude?" ask Jake in surprise.
The wavy, blond-haired man with light grey eyes felt very strange with Alex's attitude tonight.
Alex changed his seat. Now he leaned lazily with his head staring at the ceiling of the room and his hands were stretched out onto the back of the sofa.
"Come, Jake! I just feel— I don't know, I have a bad feeling about tonight," she replied ambiguously.
Honestly, Alex himself did not understand what he felt. He just really doesn't want to go. Alex snorted for the umpteenth time. However, the strange feeling that was in his mind still did not want to disappear.
Jake throws a bow tie at Alex with a murmur, "So soon finish your performance or we'll be late, Lex!"
"Aarrggh....!" Alex groaning. He really doesn't like what he's feeling right now. It's just that he had absolutely no choice but to refuse to leave because what Jake said was true.
They are the ambassadors, they are part of the sponsors and that is why they have to be present at the event. Alex and Jake are the top models in the United States. Especially in California and Hollywood.
They are both very famous and very popular there. Jake Cipher and Alex Levine are often paired to model on certain events like this one. They are incomparable combos in the world of modeling.
"I thought we were late" Jake said when they arrived at the party. The blond man immediately spread his gaze around.
The place had been full of rich people and other important people who used to gather in such a place. Sounds that sound very loud in the ears.
"Listen, Lex! I really don't want to leave you alone when you're screwed up..."
Jake hangs up his sentence as he grabs two glasses of drink, which looks like light champagne, which is carried around by a waiter. And the man immediately thrust one of the glasses in front of his best friend.
Alex grabbed the champagne glass without any weight, and sipped it slowly. Hope the grains of low-grade alcoholic beverages can eliminate the strange feeling in him.
Jake sipped his champagne elegantly and continued, "But you remember we were ambassadors for this show? So let's split up and start greeting all those important people!"
Alex shrugged his shoulders and nodded.
"We're gathered at this point in about thirty minutes, Okay! Then I'll tell the Director that you're not feeling well so we can go home early, what was my idea?"
Jake throws his ideas around the party room, scanning which group he will go to first to greet them.
Alex again just nodded slowly and then took a sip of the remaining champagne in his glass. Just put it on an empty tray that the waiter carried around to collect used glasses.
Both of Alex's eyes looked bright as he looked at Jake who had started swinging his legs towards the crowd in front of them.
Shit man!!! Maki Alex in heart. What exactly happened to him? What kind of hunch is this? Alex nagged at himself.
With a heavy step Alex towards a crowd in one corner of the room, but just a few steps he made, he then saw the figure of Luna Gross— betrothed, he was engaged, standing in the middle of the perlente men who seemed to admire the woman greatly.
The luna? Inner Alex. Isn't he at work in San Francisco until Sunday? Why is he in California now? Alex wondered.
But somehow tonight Alex did not seem enthusiastic to meet the woman he loved. Though they have not met for almost a week, and usually Alex will not feel at home for long parting with Luna to sacrifice her time to follow wherever the woman is.
But now, Alex's feelings are mortal. Could this bad feeling have something to do with her fiance? Inner Alex. Without a second thought, he immediately approached the crowd where his fiancee was.
While walking closer to Luna, Alex's gaze can not be separated from the figure of a beautiful woman he plans to marry later this year.
"Luna," called Alex in a heavy voice.
Not only did Luna Gross turn her head towards him but also almost all the men who swarmed the woman.
"Alex!" screeched Luna with a shocked expression. "I didn't expect to see you here" he added, blinking his eyes in astonishment.
"How could you not meet her here, Miss Gross, Mr. Levine is one of the model ambassadors on the show? Don't you know that?" ask a gentleman Alex knows as Mr. Malcolm— is a portrait photographer who has just held his solo exhibition in California.
Luna laughed gracefully while covering her mouth with a palm, "Oh, forgive me gentlements! I didn't know that at all because I was just fulfilling someone's invitation to attend this party?" answer with his special smile.
"Who's invitation?" alex asked with a frown.
Alex is getting more and more unsettled. He did not like the sudden appearance of Luna at this party where the woman was telling him that she was out of town for a few days.
And Alex disliked the way Luna talked to the men, as if she had forgotten her status as someone's fiance. As Alex Levine's fiancee.
"Miss Luna Gross, can we talk?" alex asked softly but firmly.
"Please, Lex. This party is indeed a place for people to talk, is not it so gentlements?" reply Luna tried to respond to Alex's request casually.
"I want us to talk alone, Luna," Alex adds to his call-to-action with a flat face and the sharpest intonation possible. Until Luna was forced to realize the tension that Alex felt.
"Oh, come on.. Why is it so tense? We've been friends for a long time, okay, we can talk together. Excuse me gentlemen, it looks like Mr. Levine could not wait to immediately monopolize me," said Luna to the perlente before him, and passed into a hallway elegantly.
Alex followed Luna's light footsteps with her eyebrows raised when she heard her fiance mention the phrase 'old friend' instead of 'engaged'.
And when they were completely alone in a passageway that was somehow connected to nowhere, Alex impatiently immediately showered Luna with his questions.
"I remember you telling me a week ago that you'd be in San Francisco until Sunday. Then why are we suddenly able to meet here? And who's the one who invited you to this charity event? You said I didn't know? Huh, that's right! I know everyone who's invited to this party, Luna, because I'm the ambassador," Alex said.
"Woooww, wow.. Relax, Lex! Chill out!
Don't show your jealousy in a public place like this," Luna casually replied as she pressed her palms against the chest of the man's field, which was still wrapped in the latest Armani party suit.
"Jealous? Me? On whom? Your words did not answer my questions at all, Luna," Alex cornered Luna into the wall of the hallway and locked the woman's movements with both arms resting against the wall.
Although it was cornered but Luna remained calm. His hand crept up to Alex's warm, tender cheek, inversely proportional to the man's jaw hardened with anger.
"Well if you're not jealous. I'm happy, because maybe your feelings for me aren't as deep as I thought they were" Luna Gross said with a faint smile.
"I'm not jealous, Luna. But I'm angry. I'm not glad you lied to me. You lied about your schedule and you lied about our relationship in front of everyone. What do you mean we're old friends? We're engaged, did you forget?" alex's voice rose as his emotions continued to rise.
"Actually after this party I meant to meet you at the apartment and talk about this, but I think we're meeting, maybe I'd better just say it now," reply Luna by releasing her hand from Alex's body and then cross-section with a cold gesture.
"Say! Whatdoyouwant?" challenge Alex.
"I want to cancel our engagement" exclaimed Luna Gross with a cynical expression.
"What?" alex's teeth are grinding.
"I can't go ahead with our wedding plans later this year, Lex," Luna said with a soft snort.
"Why? I hope you can give me a very reasonable excuse, Luna Gross," Alex's tone of voice was so threatening.
"I'm pregnant, Lexi," Luna replied briefly. And ended his answer with a triumphant grin. "Are you satisfied with my answer?" Luna asked back.
Luna's answer just now was like the sound of lightning in Alex's ear. His heart was stung, rumbling as if a storm was gathering there. "What's? You pregnant?" Alex is trying to make sure.
Luna chuckled at Alex's reaction which seemed pleasant to her, "Don't be afraid, honey! I won't hold you accountable! You'll never touch me, so how could you be responsible for my baby" Luna's lips lifted slightly.
Alex has never had sex with Luna since they were officially dating and even engaged. Alex wants his first night to feel perfect so he always refrains from touching Luna before their wedding night.
Not so with Luna Gross. Women who have often made love are confused with the mindset of the lover. At first he received Alex Levine's love statement on suspicion that the man must have been very experienced in bed.
Imagining the masculine body of an Alex Levine makes Luna Gross accept the man's love without hesitation. But in fact he was wrong, because Alex who upholds the honor of women always makes him disappointed when politely the man refused his appeal to make love.
Upset by Alex's relentless rejection, Luna tries to make ends meet by finding another man. And now the result, she was pregnant with one of the men she met while looking for warmth.
Alex was so shocked and furious to hear it. His bad feeling was answered. It was all because of Luna Gross. The woman he loved so much, the woman he adored so far.
"Who is that guy?" ask Alex with a sigh. "Who's the man who impregnated you?" he added.
"He's a director of a leading film company in California. I won't say his name. I'm afraid you can't stop your grudges and make calculations with him."
Alex releases his confinement against Luna. He now ruffled his waist and looked at the woman before him arrogantly. "You think I'm that low? I wanted to thank him for letting me go of a woman like you" Alex replied no less cynically.
Luna's expression turned furious, "What do you mean by a woman like me? Just because you're a top model doesn't mean you can demean me! I am the future wife of a Director of a large company! Besides what you can give me but love, your love can't give me the status and luxury I want, Mr. Levine," Luna sneered.
Luna does not know that Alex is the crown prince of Levine Enterprises, because Alex never revealed it. He does not want to be approached by women just because of his status as a child conglomerate. Only Jake Cipher knows who Alex is.
Alex smiled cynically at Luna's taunts at him, "Certainly?" his reply. "And you feel that the man who impregnated you is capable of giving you everything you want, is that it?"
"Of course!" luna answered confidently. "Not only was the warmth in my bed, but that man could give me everything. His se-ga-la, did you hear?" luna's eyes lit up to look at Alex who was no less fierce.
"Well..we'll see how the ending will be, Miss Gross," replied Alex as he passed away leaving the hallway. Leaving behind Luna Gross who was still standing emotionlessly in the corner there.
Alex is angry, not only does he feel betrayed, but he also feels deceived. Because of the woman he loves, he's secretly been having an affair and sleeping with a foreign man out there. An enraged Alex finally leaves the party alone. Without Jake Cipher.
