The sound of an electrocardiogram machine displaying a line of pulse graph of the patient filled the silence created in one of the hospital rooms in Medika. On a hospital bed, there was a six-year-old child who looked at home lying down while closing his eyes.

Chequek!

As her tears continued to flow rapidly, Dara stepped slowly closer to the hospital bed. Dara's world feels increasingly gripping. The exam came back and forth, it felt as if Dara was no longer able to stand, especially when the doctor stated that Gervan was in a coma.

“Gervan,” call Dara Lirih.

However, what he got was not the answer or just a smile from the child as usual. Now, even just a small mutter he couldn't hear it.

“Gervan darling.” Dara spoke again. The woman sat herself in the chair. His hand grabbed the tiny hand and then grasped it tightly. “Build, yuk. Don't sleep on, you don't miss Mama?”

Next to the woman's hand rubbed Gervan's head gently. Tears that had stopped, now began to flow again.

Do I still deserve to be called a good parent, when I can't protect my son from being hurt like this? Gervan, I'm sorry Mama couldn't take good care of you. Forgive Mama for not being the one to protect you. If only you could, Mama would want to replace your current position. It hurts to see you in this situation.

Gervan, you are not a child born from the womb of Mama, but Mama already loves you like her own biological child. Enough of the mama's boy-to-be to leave, you don't, Gervan. Gervan, Mama can't see you get hurt. Get well soon, baby, so you can see your children playing with laughter.

The gentle touch on her shoulder made Dara immediately wipe away her tears. The woman looked back, looking at Steven who had been standing behind her for some time.

“Do not cry, Gervan does not like to see his mother sad,” said Stevan while rubbing the word water on Dara's cheek gently.

Dara did not reply, she turned around, then hugged Stevan tightly. The woman again shed her tears in her husband's stomach. Stevan stroked Dara's head. The woman's eyes are already visible.

“Gervan, Ste,” Og Dara.

Stevan can't go back to forbidding Dara from crying. Because he knew, this woman must have felt very devastated. Which man is not sick to see his son hurt, let alone just lost one of his children? There are no parents who are not sad to see their children sick, and that's what Stevan feels.

Stevan's eyes glanced at Gervan who was wearing a patient's shirt which made the child look even more miserable. Not just one or two long scratches decorate the child's face.

Stevan's eyes glanced down towards the abdomen, Stevan recalls vividly, as he took Gervan to the hospital, the stomach was spitting out a lot of blood. Stevan was grateful, fortunately the stab wound did not hit Gervan's vital person, although the child had to get seven stitches in his stomach.

Stevan leaned over, pulling Dara into his warm embrace.

“Beautiful mom can cry, can be sad, but do not prolonged,” he said then kissed soft Dara forehead.

Dara nodded, she let go of his embrace, then looked at Stevan. “Where's sky?”

Stevan did not answer, he turned to the open door. There, there was the sky, Shira, and Anita who was approaching them.

“Mama!” call Sky.

His little feet stepped, approaching the mother who was staring at him. Upon arriving before him, Heaven rested his hands on Dara's thighs. His eyes looked at Dara for a while then turned to look at Gervan.

“Bang Van is not awake yet, Ma?”

Dara shook her head slowly, she raised the body of Heaven onto her lap.

“Elang already ate?”

Dara hesitated. “Udah, like.”

Stevan who heard it clucked softly, his hands outstretched slowly scrambling Dara's hair.

“Udah eat? When?”

Dara grimaced, scratching her head.

“Yes I, I forgot, Ste.”

“Mama smooth eating, if Mama does not eat, later Mama is sick like Bang Van. Eagle does not want Mama sick.” The sky touched his own chest. “Here, someone is sick, if the Eagle sees Mama is sick.”

Dara shed her tears, she was moved. Quickly, he showered the face of Heaven with a kiss.

“Mama loved you, Lang,” he said, then hugged the Sky tightly.

“You should eat, Dara. You have to take care of your health as well,” Shira said. He smiled sincerely while stroking the child's head just like that.

Shira felt unable to see her son suffer. Shira is worried, sad, also sick to see Dara grieving. Shira knows how painful it is to lose a child who has been guarded for months. Not by calculation, it's just that pain is intolerable.

“What do you want to eat, honey?” stevan asked, the man intended to buy food for his wife.

“Already, you guys eat outside only. Gervan let Mama take care,” cut Shira quickly, before Dara opened her voice.

“But, Ma—”

Shira touched both of Dara's shoulders, squeezing her slowly. “Within, you also need refreshing to calm your heart. You know, your heart is not as good as your face. Mama knows, you are sad, but you always try to look tough in front of others.”

Dara lowered the Sky from her lap, she immediately hugged her mother's body tightly.

“Mama ...,” says Dara Lirih.

Never mind, Dara could not hide her tears in front of her mother. Shira knows her mood, even though Dara has tried to hide as neatly as possible. Shira knows how she feels, which even Dara is unable to understand. To Dara, Shira is her world.

Shira took off her embrace, she wiped away Dara's tears. “Already, yes. As a strong woman, you cannot cry easily. Of the many people on earth, God chose to give you trials because God knows you can, you are able to get through this.”

Dara was made more amazed by the figure of the woman who had given birth to this. Dara hugged Shira.

“Because of Mama.”

Shira nodded. “Mama also love you, no parent likes to see his child suffer. If there really is, then that person has gone crazy.” Shira took off her embrace again, she turned her attention to Stevan who was now carrying the Sky. “Ste, take your wife out to eat, or if necessary take a walk.”

Stevan nodded in understanding. “Good, Ma. Stevan same Dara tipped Gervan, yes. What do you want to drop?”

Shira shakes. “No need, Mama just want you to come back here in a better condition.”

“Yes already, Stevan same Dara said, Ma. Assalamualaikum.” Stevan barks Shira's hand, followed by Dara and Sky.

The three people started to step outside.
