Happy Reading🌾's
Dara down the street complex. His footsteps took him to a place that was currently resting in his brain. In the eastern horizon, there is a tinge of orange adorning the baskara. On the leaves, there is dew perched.
Dara continued down the road, until she arrived at a place with the words “Public Cemetery” which was written large on the dividing wall between the road and the cemetery. Dara stopped her steps, right in front of the tomb at the end. Near the tomb, a frangipani tree was growing.
Dara crouched in front of her sister's grave. He began sprinkling roses that had been picked behind his house and then poured a bottle of water on the ground of the tomb. Although the day is not yet bright, it does not make Dara afraid to be at the cemetery alone. How could he possibly be afraid, when his soul seemed to be numb.
Dara was silent, her eyes staring at the tomb blankly. Whether conscious or not, he often experiences this kind of situation. Yes, daydreaming. Although his body was here, but his mind was wandering. He thought about the dream he had last night— which made him willing to come here early in the morning.
In the dream, Dara can see her brother's disappointed gaze that leads to her. Dara did not know the meaning of that look. Until, Dira's voice explained it.
“Kakak is disappointed with you, Dar. You're hard to tell brother's departure. Brother is also disappointed, you did not keep your promise to keep and take good care of the Sky.”
At least, that long sentence made Dara aware of the mistakes she often made over the past month.
“Excuse Dara, Brother,” Overt Dara. Regretting his actions all this time.
Dira shook his head slowly.
“Kakak just want you to let go Brother, Dar. I don't like to see your sad face. Like you, Brother also wants to always see the people around Brother happy.” Dira took a slow breath. “Not this kind of grief that Brother wants.”
Dara wiped her tears while holding her sister's headstone.
“Mafin Dara, Brother. Dara was wrong all this time.”
Dara got up from her seat, she started to step away leaving the burial area. After Dara's death, a frangipani flower fell right over Dira's grave, as if the woman was responding to the sister's words.
While on the other hand, Stevan is confused around the house to find the whereabouts of his woman. When she woke up this morning, she did not find Dara beside her. Beside him was only his Sky that was twitching his thumb.
“Because, where are you?”
Stevan constantly repeated the same question while opening the doors of unused rooms. Yet, still. The result was nothing, the woman was nowhere.
Stevan turned around, he rushed towards the door when he heard the sound of the door being opened. There, there was Dara who was closing the door. Stevan immediately hugged Dara tightly, as if not to let the woman go back.
“Where are you from, Dar? I'm worried about you,” said Stevan while squeezing both shoulders of Dara.
“Sorry, yes. I'm making you worry. I went to Kak Dira's grave,” said Dara.
“Why not say goodbye? I can send you.”
Dara smiled, she stared right at the bead in the eyes of the man before her at this moment.
“If you send me, Whose sky is at home?”
Stevan was silent, true also what the woman said. However, still, the woman managed to make him worry.
“Yes already, I want to take a shower of the sky first, yes. He must have woken up,” said Dara. Without waiting for a response from Stevan, the woman stepped away towards his room.
Stevan was silent on the spot. His lips curled, making a smile. Finally, Dara was able to smile again, although not as happy as before. But this change made him happy. At least, Dara did not return to show her flat face.
And again, a happiness that rises in the heart. Dara no longer ignored the sky. Stevan hopes that Dara will not return to being the quiet woman she was a few weeks ago.
“Lho, why did you come here?” dara asked, looking at Stevan while holding the Sky which was only wrapped in a towel on his body.
“It's a pleasure to see your chat with Sky.”
Dara shakes not understanding.
“Chat is not clear just you like,” he said, laughed slowly, then chose to continue the step.
Stevan clucked slowly, he followed Dara from behind.
“It's not so, Dar. I just like everything related to you and Sky.”
Dara did not answer, preferring to lay Heaven on the bed. He stepped back, intending to take the Sky suit.
“You're not in the office?” dara asked without looking at Stevan. The woman was busy flushing the Sky body using telon oil.
Stevan shook. “Today not first yes, Yang.”
Dara looked up, looking at Stevan who was lying next to the sky.
“Lho, not yesterday you have not been to the office, yes?”
Stevan nodded. “Yes, but today is different. Today I want to take you both for a walk.”
Not wanting to prolong the debate, Dara chose to nod his head assuringly while rubbing the powder into the face of Heaven.
“Mama's son is already fragrant,” he said while showering the baby's face with a kiss.
Stevan immediately got up, he took the Sky from Dara's sling.
“Papa's son too,” he said, kissing the crisp cheek of a baby boy on his lap.
Dara smiled looking at Stevan who was kissing the face of Heaven. He knew, all this time he had been ignoring two men who were very valuable to him.
All this time, Dara felt her soul as if wandering into the land of antagonism. Dara felt, her brain was no longer able to work together. All Dara wanted was to sit still without doing anything.
However, since Dira's presence in his dream last night made him aware of his negligence all along. Oh my God, forgive Dara's mistakes all along. Dara regretted, if only she could fight her sadness, disappointment, and selfishness. There must be no one who is neglected by him.
“Hey, why are you crying?”
Stevan's question made Dara stroke her cheek. Right, there's a trail of tears. In fact, Dara herself was not aware that her tears had plunged freely.
“Hei!” scold Stevan.
“Eh, no really. I'm just excited to see you happy with Sky.”
Stevan smiles. “Makanya, we must be happy together with the Sky sisters later,” he said and brought Dara into his arms with the Sky between them.
