Marrying a Woman of Mother's Choice

Daeng, Where are you?

Day after day had passed, Tenri and Reno's relationship had not improved. Recently, Reno didn't come home somewhere to stay. Tenri was always anxious to wait for her husband's return.

Sometimes at midnight, Tenri chooses to pretend to sleep. Most importantly she already knew Reno was still coming home. But this time is different, usually he who came home at 11 pm to 1 am has not yet returned home.

Tenri went back and forth between the beds and stood near the window, looking out when her husband had come home. But until one hour now, Tenri's anxiety is increasing. Reno is not coming.

The Tenri household test was thoroughly tested by God. The age of their marriage had just entered the fifth month and there had been no peace in the house since the quarrel between them.

Tenri tries to keep contacting her husband, but his number is off. Repeatedly Tenri tried but repeatedly also only the voice of the operator was heard. He memorized every sentence.

"Where are you, daeng?" he said worriedly, his hands shaking.

Time passed, and the morning came. Tenri was only able to sleep after performing dawn prayers. Reno hasn't come home yet. When he woke up and felt his bed, Tenri thought maybe Reno had come and slept without his knowledge. However, the bed next to him was still empty. Just a vacuum.

There was a disappointed look on Tenri's face, he grabbed his phone and tried to contact Doni.

"He's not here, Tenri. Didn't he come home?" doni's voice sounded still hoarse because it was awakened by the sound of the phone ringing. Tenri's voice that asked her husband news made her forced to wake up again.

"He's not coming home. Thanks, Don."

Just as he was about to put his phone down, a WhatsApp message went into his phone. He was curious because the message contained a picture. The sender is from an unknown number, not registered in Tenri's contact.

The process of downloading images began when Tenri started clicking the middle of the image.

How surprised she was, when she saw a photo of Elsa who is currently with her husband in a room. Elsa looked smiling, showing off her middle self covering her chest. Tenri instantly closed his mouth to cover up his surprise.

"God .. daeng. That long you're the same as me?"

Spilling already the tears of Tenri, the man who fell asleep beside Elsa was her husband Reno. The husband was very worried about her.

Tenri tried to be strong, tried to be patient and still tried to hold back so that he did not dissolve in the emotions that suddenly burst from his chest.

He took a deep breath once again, a phone ring back startling him. Without seeing the name of the caller, Tenri also tried to justify his voice so as not to hoarse and not sound like people are crying.

"Hello ...."

"Hu .. hu .. hu ..." there was a loud cry. Making a big question mark on Tenri's head. What the hell is going on?

"Hello ... Why so many crying sounds? Who am I talking to?" tenri asked worriedly. The phone that was originally in his ear, he looked back at his screen and the name of one of his relatives was listed there.

"Vietnam ... Tenri .. strengthen yourself. Tell your husband that his mother is no more. Hix ... hix ...."

"Bec ... What ....? Wh who? You mean there aren't? Died off? Reno's mother died?"

"Yes, Tenri. Quickly tell him to go back to Makassar."

"How can I contact my husband? The number is not active." He cried as he pleased, talking to himself who was in despair.

Then he remembered the message Elsa had just sent.

'I must get rid of my ego now, even if I am angry with Reno and the shameless woman. However, Reno must know the news of her mother's death. All the sedanf families are waiting for him to come home.' Tenri's voice strengthened her again.

Even though it hurt so much, he tried to hold it. He typed in a message to send to Elsa's number.

Tell my husband, his mother died in Makassar. If you are a woman with a heart, tell her right now.

The message was also sent. Without a second thought, Tenri straightened up some of her clothes to put in the bag. After everything was done, he came down in a hurry to meet Bi Surti.

"Mom, where are you going in such a hurry?"

"Bi, sorry I have to go to the airport. I'll fly to Makassar right now. Reno's mother died. Please tell Reno that she's coming home, that I'm waiting for her at the airport." Tenri's voice gasped for breath, he spoke too quickly until Bi Surti could barely digest the one-on-one sentences coming out of Tenri's mouth.

"Bi, I'm leaving right now. My cab's waiting in front."

"Bus ... Ma'am .. be careful on the road!" yell Bi Surti.

Tenri waited almost two hours at the airport and Reno had not yet arrived. He had to leave first by buying a ticket that would depart half an hour from now.

Tenri's disappointment is unsurpassed, Reno may not even know that his mother died. However she must be a defender for her husband, she must compose the right sentence so that everyone in Makassar is not surprised to see his return without Reno.

While Tenri was getting ready to board the plane, Elsa opened her phone and gave Reno a message to read.

"Why didn't you say that earlier? That's my mother Elsa! Why are you holding me here!" he shouted in front of Elsa's face full of anger.

He quickly returned to his house and reached home he could not find Tenri anymore.

"Where is Tenri, Bi?"

"It's gone to Makassar first, sir. I was waiting for you at the airport for two hours, just in case you could still catch up. But Mother said on the phone, tell your father if he has left. He could not wait any longer, because the family of the father in Makassar kept asking where the news had arrived."

Reno squeezed her hair that did not itch, she had just made a fatal mistake because she did not know at all that her mother was dead. He reactivated his phone and a lot of WhatsApp messages and calls went to his number.

Without a word, without any more answers, Reno ran up the stairs. Maternity clothes then snatch the keys and leave.

Perhaps, regret is the place to be behind. However, every regret should make a person better. I don't know about Reno someday.

While Reno has just left for the airport, Tenri has arrived at Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport.
