Marrying a Woman of Mother's Choice

Marrying a Woman of Mother's Choice
Appreciate Me My Husband

At around 3 pm Jakarta time, Reno finally reached home. Tenri was already welcoming at the door with a happy smile. His arms opened wanting to give a hug, yet all he got was Reno passing through it just like that and directly into the house.

Reno loosened the buttons on the top of the shirt he wore. After opening three buttons, he sat down and folded his legs like he was waiting.

"Daeng, you must be so tired. Let me make you some coffee."

"No, I don't need coffee." Reno answered as she spoke every word that came out of Tenri's mouth.

The woman felt increasingly cornered, she did not know how to serve her husband. "Open my shoes" Reno ordered Tenri. She crossed her legs on the table and Tenri squatted on the floor near Reno's feet to open her husband's shoes.

"God, isn't that too cruel? Why did you do that to Mom?" whispered Bi Surti quietly to himself after seeing what happened.

"Here, daeng." Tenri stood up and sat back on the sofa. But her wrist was pulled by Reno so she fell on the sofa where Reno was sitting and hit her husband's body.

"Aakkh ..." cried Tenri in shock.

"What are you doing while I'm not around?" he asked with a grin that Tenri did not understand.

"No one, Daeng. What else am I gonna do? I'm just waiting for you to come home."

"Cihh, are you sure?"

"Yakin. Why are you like this? What do you want, Daeng? Can't you just appreciate me a little bit as your wife? I don't understand your mind anymore. Soon good, soon to turn into a monster. I'm afraid to see you like this. I'm like seeing someone else who's not my husband." Tenri shouted sadly in front of Reno.

What possessed the man, not seeing a longing face on his wife's face at all? Three days and three nights did not sleep well and did not eat well but what she got was the roughness of her husband.

Reno's change made her head shake in disbelief. Is it possible for someone to change drastically in such a short period of time? Anyone would be shocked to see Reno's treatment of his wife.

"Do you know nothing about me? You are the new person present in my life, how can you understand what I feel, what I'm dealing with, you won't understand all that Tenri."

"How can I understand, if daeng doesn't seem to want to share his problems with me. Daeng only cares about himself, the same stupid presence I have here that is no longer anyone else but your wife. Can you just appreciate me a little bit in your life, daeng. Even if I'm not the woman you love or don't deserve your love. But still, I'm your wife."

"Already, Tenri. I'm tired of this fight. Husband came home instead of being welcomed instead of bravely shouting in front of my face."

Shortly after, Reno came down again but changed his clothes. He did not glance in the slightest towards the crying Tenri.

"Where are you going, daeng?" tenri shouted following Reno's steps towards the exit of her house.

"It's none of your business!"

Reno got into the car and left without permission. Bi Surti pityed Tenri who was now sitting limp in front of the door.

"Mom, wake. Aunty take you to the room."

Tenri also tried to wake up with the help of Bi Surti. His steps that were shaken finally arrived also upstairs.

"Thank you, Bi." Tenri was already lying on the bed.

"Together, Mom. Why are you acting like that, Mom?"

"I don't know either, Bi. It has changed drastically since the fire. I ran out of sense to comfort him. Aunty was long with him, is that really Reno's character?"

"To Auntie's knowledge, the guy was a little harsh. But he never treated a woman harshly. Aunty alone was surprised by the attitude she had towards Mother. She could've done that to Mom."

"Auntie saw everything? Am I not worthy beside him, right?"

"Hussh .. Don't talk like that, ma'am. Mother was Mr. Reno's legal wife. Have patience, Mom. There must be a way out."

"Dad, Bi. Sorry, Bi, can you leave me alone?"

"Dad. Then, Auntie get down first."

Tenri could only contemplate his fate alone. Reno's return is not a happiness, but instead a quarrel between them.
