Marry Me, Mr. Lecturer
Weighty

Niki immediately ran small, balancing with her husband's wide strides. Arriving in front of the nursery they should only arrive at the door, because Marisa is still handled by paramedics.

With mixed feelings, the couple observed how Marisa was given respiratory assistance. There was blood flowing down the floor from the end of the patient's bed.

Farel pulls his wife away from Marisa's room, not wanting Niki to see the horrifying sight.

"Mba Marisa why is that, Mas?" Niki refuses as her husband tries to get in the way with her body when he wants to look inside.

"We let the doctors and nurses work, if we stand here we can get in their way." Farel continued to push Niki's body towards the lined bench.

"Mba Marisa ... That was ... the blood was a lot ...." Niki shivered in fear. Farel took his wife in his arms.

Niki's face he buried in his chest, as if he wanted to close all the vision and hearing of his little wife on all the bad things that kept coming in a row.

"I'm scared" said Niki.

"Me too, let's just pray from here for the safety of Marisa and Galih." Although the two men have incised wounds and dropped their pride, Farel still feels tremendous sadness for the fate of his ex-wife and best friend.

The frenzy of Marisa's recovery room as well as the medics who came in and out passed them with red clothes and hands due to Marisa's blood, made both of them overwhelmed with tension. The recovery room that should have been quiet, that night was boisterous like an IGD room.

The sound gradually died down Farel decided to peek at what was happening.

"Wait here yes" Farel told Niki, who had closed her eyes with her hands.

"Follow." Niki opened her eyes and held her husband's hand.

"Here first, when I come in I call you." After making sure his wife obeyed his orders, Farel immediately stood up and walked quickly to Marisa's ward.

Farel's weak knees with the view inside. The medics were so calm to clean and summarize the equipment used in the emergency.

Marisa's body on the bed is no longer visible. A white cloth bandage had closed from the tip of the foot to the head. A doctor who had just taken off his coat, splashed with blood, walked up to him.

"Mother Marisa's Brother?" ask the doctor. Farel nodded faintly. His eyes were still fixed on the body behind the white cloth.

"W-what happened?" tanyakanya.

"Mother Marisa suddenly had severe bleeding. While we were looking for the cause, blood was flowing more and more and his body was convulsing. It looks like there's a wound in his womb. We're sorry, we couldn't save Marisa's life."

Farel nodded his head. His shoulders felt heavier with the burden of two bodies that he had to deal with later. Marisa's family hasn't heard from her in a long time. It was as if they were throwing away their daughter.

"Thank you, Doc. Can I come closer?" Farel pointed to the bed where Marisa was lying.

"Please, Sir. We'll soon be taking her to the morgue to clean up."

Farel's steps felt heavy as he approached Marisa's bed. One by one, reminded him of when he had fallen in love with his near-perfect figure. At that time he closed his eyes and ears to anything that said negative things about his ex-wife. Love is completely blind.

Farel's hand was lifted and he pulled out the white cloth that covered Marisa's face. The skin that used to always be plenary covered in expensive makeup, is now pale and slightly blue. Beautifully colored hair now looks tangled. There was nothing left of her beauty at that time.

"Mba Marisa why, Mas?" Niki approached Farel who was walking behind Marisa's bed, which was pushed out of the room.

"He's gone." Farel hugged Niki's body tightly and kissed her head repeatedly.

"Who-you mean?" Niki looked at Marisa's bed that was getting further away at the end of the hallway.

"Marisa's with her daughter." Farel forced his smile. He must be strong in front of his whiny wife.

True what he thought, Niki immediately cried loudly while tightly hugging her body. Luckily, he had already let go of his cries in the recovery room earlier.

The sound of the patient's bed wheel was heard rolling from the end of the hall. Getting closer, they could see another body covered in white cloth brought into the mortuary room.

The position of those who were on the way to the morgue, it was actually common for a dead patient to be carried past them. But this time Farel was able to recognize the body on the patient's bed from a strand of hair visible from under the blanket. Hair dyed blonde.

"Decision?" hiss Farel.

"Who?" Niki lifted her head from her husband's arms.

Farel let go of his embrace, then chased after the nurse who pushed the patient's bed, "Awhile, Sus. Sorry to see this patient. I probably know."

"By chance this patient's identity doesn't exist at all."

Although it was certain without looking, but once the nurse opened the cloth that covered the patient's face, Farel's heart seemed to stop beating.

"I know. He's my friend" he said.

"Thank God, I'm sorry, sir. Please take care of the administration immediately, let the body be brought home immediately."

Farel let the nurse push Galih's body back into the mortuary. He turned to his wife who looked at him.

Niki walked slowly to Farel, because her husband was still motionless. Her instincts say her husband needs strength. He hugged the body and rubbed his back. Farel's cry broke out in Niki's embrace.

Farel's father-in-law would not accept his son-in-law. They say Galih is no longer the husband of his daughter. So Galih's life and death, it's none of their business. Farel almost threw his phone, but stopped considering he was still in the hospital area. Be Farel and Niki who take care of three bodies at once.

While Galih's body, Marisa and her newborn daughter are prepared to be brought home, Farel takes Niki to the hospital's garden.

"Warm brown." Farel thrust out a paper glass that was still reflecting hot steam.

Some time they sit in silence enjoying the scenery and the cool air changes from night to morning. The blushing sky, crowing roosters and cool dew calmed both of them from overnight tension.

"Mas Farel okay?" Niki looked at her husband while rubbing Farel's cheek.

"There are you here, I must be fine" Farel said with a shady smile. Farel held Niki in his arms, then kissed her head repeatedly.
