Marry Me, Mr. Lecturer

"I'm going to the administration room first huh, you wait here." Farel held both of Niki's shoulders glued in front of the ward. His wife looked tense seeing Marisa being prepared to be taken to the operating table, "Nik ... Niki." Farel rubbed his silent wife's shoulders ignoring her.

"Yes, I'm here." Without turning her head, Niki gave the code to her husband to immediately go to the administration room. Farel breathed a long breath. Although her heavy heart left Niki in a bad mood, she had to keep her feet down the hallway.

Along the way to the administration room, Farel again tried to contact Galih who had just run away.

"Suckers! At least you should know your child is going to be born. If I knew you were this bad, I wouldn't want to know you first." Farel cursed continuously while pressing Galih's number repeatedly.

Meanwhile Niki did not take her eyes off Marisa who was lying weakly on the operating table. He was allowed to enter to assist, but he also did not dare to approach. Niki just stood in the corner of the room while covering her mouth with both hands.

This new lifetime he witnessed the process of the birth of a new human being firsthand.

"Are you afraid to see blood? If it is not strong, it is better to wait outside, yes" said the nurse on duty.

"I'm strong, Sus. Just groggy, I just wait here can be yes," pinta Niki explained. Between fear and curiosity, he wanted to see how the baby would come out of Marisa's stomach. If the nurses and doctors knew Niki had never given birth, she might have been removed from the operating room by then.

The operation took place shortly, but something happened. The medics looked panicked shortly after the baby was successfully removed from Marisa's womb. Niki extended her neck, trying to see what her doctors and nurses were doing to the newborn.

While Marisa is still in the process of completing the operation, making Niki unable to get closer to the ex-wife of her husband. The atmosphere grew tense as doctors and nurses kept each other down in high and fast voices.

"A-what's up?" Niki intercepts one of the nurses who for the umpteenth time comes out to pick up something from the outside.

"Sorry, ma'am emergency situation, the blue baby doesn't cry and his heartbeat gets weaker."

"W-what's that danger?"

"We're trying our best again, ma'am. Please help me with that." The nurse opened the door and walked out of the room without waiting for Niki to answer.

The cold night in the operating room and the panic of nurses and doctors, made Niki even more tense. He wanted to call Farel who was waiting outside to accompany him, but the written rules allowed only one person to wait inside.

Niki's lips moved reciting the prayer repeatedly, seeing Marisa lying on the operating table made her remember her Mama who may be the same condition when giving birth to her.

A female doctor walked up to him with a sad face. Niki's feelings were suddenly uncomfortable with the doctor's gaze. From behind the doctor's back he could see the nurse's activity was wrapping something. There is no more tension, all that is heard is a clinking medical device.

"Bus ... Ma." The doctor shook Niki's dreamy hand.

"What's the baby, Doc?" ask Niki lirih. I don't know why he felt something was wrong at the end of the room where Marisa's baby was cleaned.

"Sorry, we've tried our best ...." Niki's tears have not yet flowed. The words that doctors used to say when reporting the news of grief, he had already memorized.

I don't hear what the next doctor said. All she knew was that her body was being led out of the room by a nurse and taken to Farel, and her husband hugged her tightly. There her crying broke out.

"We went out to drink the same bread first yuk," asked Farel after his wife looked calmer.

"Mba Marisa?"

"I have left the phone number with the nurse, he said Marisa is still in the process of recovery later if there is anything they will notify. We're only going to the minimarket in front. You also ate a little earlier, tomorrow must be even more tired because you have to bring baby Marisa to the tomb." Farel tried to persuade his wife.

"Babyuu ...." Reminded of Marisa's baby, Niki cries again.

With one plastic bag filled with mineral water and some food, Niki and Farel return to the hospital. Just as they were about to enter the hospital grounds, an ambulance passed them with sirens roaring.

At first they did not care about the emergency events that often occur in the hospital, but once the ambulance door was opened and the patient was brought down, Farel and Niki's steps stopped instantly.

"That's a Galih, Mas!"

Farel who had recognized from afar, although the face of his friend was almost formless again immediately approached the bed of the patient who was pushed hastily.

"Decision! Galih!" Farel chased until the door of the IGD room closed.

"Do you know the victim?" ask one of the nurses who took Galih to the hospital.

"He's my friend, what's going on?"

"It looks like the car the victim was driving hit something. When we came earlier the victim's car was already in a state of disintegration while we did not see objects or cars that were hit around the victim's vehicle." The nurse's explanation made Farel's forehead linked.

"How are you?"

"Initial inspection on site, the condition is quite severe because the vital organs are almost all affected but do not worry the medical team will try their best."

Farel scooped his face rudely hearing the nurse's explanation. With the condition of Galih that he had seen earlier and what the nurse described, he felt that the life expectancy for his friend was very thin.

Not yet he had time to catch his breath, the phone in his hand rang displaying a row of foreign numbers.

"Hello."

"Hello, I'm sorry sir, go to Marisa's recovery room immediately."

"Okay, thank you."

Farel hung up his phone and pulled Niki's hand without saying anything.

"Where's Galih's doing, Mas?"

Farel remained silent, his steps getting faster so that he did not realize he was a little dragging Niki who had shorter legs than his feet.

"Kok hurry, what's up?"

Farel did not want to talk, because he also did not know what happened. From the tone of the nurse's voice on the phone he felt that there was an important situation and even a serious situation occurred.

"Mas Farel! What's up?" Niki jerked her hand. Half a day full of emotions and draining energy made his patience run out.

"I don't know, too, that nurse Marisa called earlier" Farel said, trying to be patient.
