"Whom are we the same?" Niki began to panic when she would be left in an apartment that was very foreign to her.
"You live here by yourself, dare, right? This is for your daily needs, you can shop in the mini market below. If less, just let me know." Farel placed a debit card on the table and turned to the exit.
"Sir! I don't want to be alone, I'm afraid."Niki wasn't lying she was really afraid of being left alone.
"I'm sorry, Niki I have to go home from there my wife asks me where I am." Farel showed a short message from Marisa.
"I'm also your wife now!" Niki started sulking.
Farel rattled his hair in annoyance. Of course he did not forget to say the wedding vows in front of Niki's parents. Their marriage though seemed forced, but religiously legitimate and now the girl in front of him is also his full responsibility.
"Please understand me, Niki. I have followed your crazy request to get married and we have agreed, my wife should not know about this marriage. This time I ask you to obey." Farel said firmly.
Niki clasped her hand on the rope bag hanging on her shoulder. Jealousy began to pour over her heart as soon as Farel told my wife, but not for her but another woman.
Seeing Niki not returning his words, Farel came out of Niki's apartment room and immediately headed to his house. Marisa just came from Singapore this afternoon after a vacation with her friends. But Farel knew very well, among the friends Marisa mentioned there was Galih his most beautiful ex-wife who was also married and even had children.
"Hi, Honey. What time is it?" As soon as he got out of the car and into the house, Farel immediately approached Marisa who was sitting on the living room sofa.
"Where are you?" Farel's hand that would be coiled around Marisa's shoulder was brushed aside violently.
"Gather with friends" said Farel slowly.
"You know, I don't like it when I go home with no one." Marisa walked towards the kitchen leaving Farel still trying to smile.
"Yes, sorry. I brought you the satay you like. We eat yuk together." Farel opened the satay pack he had bought before he got home.
"I've eaten." Marisa took a quick glance at the plate Farel had provided for her and entered the room.
Farel stared blankly at the two plates of satay along with the untouched lontong on the table. Still remembered when he argued with other buyers, asking that his order take precedence just to see his wife eat his favorite satay.
Wives. Farel suddenly remembered that he had a wife other than Marisa. The little wife he left alone in an apartment on their first night. Farel squeezed his hair back, feeling like a gentleman, leaving a young woman alone in a strange place. Even he as a husband did not ask if his little wife wanted to eat something.
Farel sent a message to Niki's cell phone number, hoping that his little wife would answer immediately. Meanwhile, after Farel's death, Niki cries out for her own stupidity. His love for a Cinderella married to the man of his dreams was wiped out on the first night. He thought he had succeeded in having Farel, but he forgot that married life did not stop at the time of making promises. But that was the beginning of everything.
Niki bit the bread containing the leftover chocolate from her wedding event this morning that she had put in a bag. The taste began to bland with tears, but the hunger of his stomach forced him to swallow.
Niki took the clinking phone from inside her bag. A cell phone contact named my husband sent me a message asking if he had eaten. Niki smiled smirkingly while sending a photo of half-living bread. Excuse me. One word of reply he received made his tears flow again.
Passion, Niki. This is what you want, you have to be strong. Rest assured that one day Farel will reciprocate your feelings of love. Niki took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.
The next morning Niki went to campus on foot. True said Farel, the apartment chosen is very close to the campus.
"Hi, Niki's on foot? where's husband?" The first greeting in the morning with his status as a lecturer's wife. Unfortunately the greeting sounded unfriendly, even impressed to mock him.
"My husband is tired, understand the first night" said Niki indifferently as she wiggled her hair. He continued walking without giving the cynical mouths a chance to affect his feelings this morning.
Entering the class, he was immediately greeted with many questions. Not yet pan tatnya touch the bench, his friends are already swarming around him.
"You can do it, Nik. Dong's story."
"How long have you known?"
"Suddenly so, hamidun huh?"
"Listen to bestie, my dearest Farel and I fell in love at first sight. Yes, his name is already in love yes pingin quickly memorized dong ya. Hamidun's? noah, if suddenly yes, understand he did not patiently want to have me," said Niki.
None of the students on the campus knew that Farel already had a wife before, because the new lecturer and his appearance were still very young.
"Good morning." The heavy voice he missed sounded in the doorway.
Whispers began to sound, some of Niki's friends even bravely teased the newlyweds. They were waiting for the moment of intimacy that Niki and Farel would show off.
"Have finished the storm? can I start this class?" Unlike usual, Farel taught without a smile. Her flat, cold voice made Niki's friends ask inwardly. Until the hours of the course were over, Farel still avoided eye contact with Niki.
Niki knocked on the door of Farel's room, from the inside she heard her husband talking in a soft tone.
"You want to eat meat soto on the road of revolution? I'll miss it."
"Excuse me, sir." Niki opened the door and popped her head slightly. Farel's palm hinted for Niki to wait for him to finish the call.
"Yes, I'll take you we'll eat together there."
"Love you, honey." Farel always tried to end his conversation with the same sentence even though the woman across there never replied to him.
"What's up, Niki?" farel asked without guilt.
"My wife, huh? Just realized, I don't know his name yet." Niki tried to smile.
"Marisa" said Farel briefly.
"Call acquaintance."
"Don't mess with you" said Farel firmly.
"Cheat gum, it can't be anything. It must be beautiful, you seem to love once huh?" asked Niki without trying to cover up her jealousy.
"Pretty. Very pretty."
"What beauty is it like me?"
Farel stopped his finger in front of the laptop. He turned his gaze towards the young girl in front of him.
