Married to Ustaz

Married to Ustaz
Chapter 7: Again and Again Late

Cika already looked beautiful in a white-gray uniform. The first time the school used a headscarf, decorated a small pearl brooch on her chest. Today, the first day for Cika to enter the classroom from the previous days was in the pesantren.

"Kok I've never seen, santri son huh, Din? Santri's daughter and son are separated, huh?" ask her while putting the textbooks of today into her bag.

Dinda who was wearing a headscarf in front of the mirror turned towards Cika.

"Yes, it's separate, Cika. There is a limit to getting along. To avoid slander," replied Dinda.

Cika mangut-mangut understood. "It's so different in public schools, yes, is the learning process different?"

"No different from Cika, the same as learning in public schools. Cuman here prioritizes religious science. The learning process is the same. The family atmosphere is very thick here," said Novi who was neat with school uniforms.

After the three of them were ready, the three girls walked together to enter their respective classes. Cika majored in IPA, while the two new friends were majoring in IPS.

A hand-wringing separated the three of them, Cika quickened her footsteps as the entrance bell rang. Cika's mind is no longer strange because the first hour he knows is the lesson of Ustaz Hafid. If he is late, his history can be finished.

Justright. Cika was two minutes late from Ustaz Hafid. Ustaz Hafid is sitting sweet in class. Cika retreated her steps backwards. The girl's guts suddenly shrieked to make a tantrum again after getting a strong reprimand from the boarding school.

“Why be late at a time like this anyway,” screams Cika in his heart. He stood in the middle of the door.

"Hem ... late again?" Ustaz Hafid was already standing in front of the door. Staring at the girl who lowered her head. Ustaz Hafid shook his head slowly, the new princess santri was always too late in any case.

Cika looked up at her head slowly then raised both of her fingers to form the letter V.

"Sorry, Taz," he said, grinning his horse.

Cika puffed both her cheeks. "I didn't lack discipline Ustaz, I was just a long way off," he argued in self-defense.

"That's the same."

"No, different Ustaz!"

"Do you want me to punish you?"

Cika immediately stopped talking after hearing the threat.

It is quite interesting to see the debate between Ustaz Hafid and Cika for other princesses. Because only Cika dared to answer when Ustaz Hafid was talking.

"You may enter, but later in the afternoon clean the boarding house!" Ustaz Hafid walked back into the classroom and sat down in his chair.

"Yes, Ustaz. How is the law again?" cika asked with an irritated tone of voice.

"You want ustaz more? Sit down on your stool!" ustadz Hafid orders flatly and re-opens the book in front of him to prepare to continue the material.

"Please, if not an ustaz maybe I have a claw face tuh ustaz, very nice," Cika's mind throbbed annoyed in his heart and immediately sat down to his seat.

The fiqh lesson that is usually most feared by the students because Ustaz Hafid who is usually known as 'ustaz killer' this morning became their own entertainment. It was very rare for a princess to see Ustaz Hafid flashing a faint smile inside the classroom.

Day after day Cika passed in pesantren is not an easy thing. Adapting to many new things that are very different from his life in the previous. Sometimes Cika's heart screamed wanting to 'surrender', but Cika was always persistent against that scream. He no longer wanted to disappoint his parents.
