The Terror of Guilt

Right in the corridor of the hospital Noval again cross paths with Nita, he observed Noval who seemed to be fretting, feeling that something was wrong with her son.

"Noval what happened?" Nita asked, her eyes then glanced at where Noval came out of Sam's room.

"What are you doing! You didn't finish him, did you?!" Nita stared at Noval sharply.

"Almost" replied Noval briefly in a shaky tone.

"You're crazy! If anyone sees it then Mahesa will not forgive you!"

"Mama can you shut up! Sam's alive, you take it easy!" Noval's face looks flushed like usual, he turned and rushed away.

"Novals. Novavel!" Call Nita, but Noval does not stop her steps.

"What happened to the boy exactly?" muttered Nita, he immediately rushed to see Sam's state, afraid Noval was too rash because of anger.

Noval walked away, walking with his feet fast carrying his emotions. He drove his car at high speed to a bar in the city of Y.

"Welcome boss Noval, long time you don't visit us" Welcomed the manager to look at Noval who looks restless.

"You prepare a woman for me, take her to the usual room" Noval said with a heavy breath.

"Good boss" the bar manager looked at Noval inside.

In the cold VIP bar room Noval tried to relax, she sat gently massaging her two eyebrows, before two of the most beautiful women in the bar came to Noval. One pinched Noval gently and one poured wine for her.

"You look troubled, what's the matter, sir?" ask one of them in a soft tone.

"It's okay, tonight accompany me. If you guys can get rid of me then I'll give you 2x the usual"

The eyes of the two women turned sparkling hearing Noval wanted to pay double. With all the skill and play they try to do, Noval begins to get lulled by the gentle touches of the two women. However, Ryu's empty eyes came back to his wishful thinking.

Noval was flabbergasted then woke up with a roaring breath "What's the matter sir? Am I being too rude?" ask one of the women to be worried.

"Keep away! I'm done" Noval said, rising from her seat and fixing the zipper and her shirt.

"But we're just getting started, are you sure it's over?"

"Shut up or I'll rip your mouth off! Take this!" Noval throws money in front of the two comfort women and leaves at a fast pace.

"Dam. Damnit. Damnit damnit! Why did that look come again!" as Noval said, he stopped his car at a deserted corner of the road.

The gaze of Riyu's comatose eyes became a separate terror for Noval reawakening guilt. After many years he was restless again, remembering where Ranu was. Sam's mother is dying. Noval was sitting in her car drinking alcohol, staring at her trembling palms.

Flashbacks

"Mama... Mama..." Shouted little Sam shook Ranu's body, seeing his dying mother Sam directly approached Mahesa who was in the main room at the time.

Seeing Sam has far Noval directly in, approached Ranu who was convulsing with wide eyes. A dozen-year-old Noval looks into Ranu's wide-eyed, gulps to reassure him.

Noval's hand slowly moved to reach the pillow beside Ranu. His hands were cold, trembling. "Tante, after this you will not suffer anymore" Noval whispered. Strongly Noval immediately smothers Ranu's face with a pillow and then overlaps it.

Ranu twitched, while Noval was getting stronger pressing the pillow. After a few minutes, Ranu was silent.

Noval opened her pillow, she saw Ranu's pitiful expression. Mouth open and eyes not closed. Ranu had been killed, Noval felt weak immediately throw the pillow beside his body. Amidst the fear that began to appear, there were stomping footsteps that flocked towards the warehouse.

Noval rushes away before being caught, watching from the outside. Little Sam and Mahesa's men panicked, anxious to see Ranu's condition that had not moved. As of now, no one knows that Noval intervened in Ranu's death.

"Arrgghhh." The bottle in his hand was thrown to pieces. Noval held her head with both hands

"No. I can't be weak just because of the past. Lagiane. All this time I've been used to taking people's lives, I can't be weak and I won't back down!" Noval gasps to stabilize emotionally.

Not long after from the darkness came a car approaching Noval, someone came down and approached him.

"Loh Noval, why are you here?" lila said as she looked around the quiet one.

"Miss Lila you surprised me. I was just lighting a cigarette" Noval said with a regular grin.

"Hemhs. I just want a new atmosphere, you know? If it's at the bar then there's going to be a lot of women bothering me"

"Oh yeah? Then let me bother you" said Lila deflecting spoiled on Noval's shoulder.

Slowly Lila brought her face closer until they finally kissed each other, but in the midst of the roaring breath, Noval pushed Lila slowly and stopped her kiss.

"Haha. What's up Noval? Not like you usually refuse me. Honestly, you are worried again! Wh why? Did you feel any pain when you saw your wife in a coma? Aunt Nita said you changed after visiting Riyu"

"Lila I'm not in the mood for anything" Noval went to get in the car.

"Novale! Don't tell me you're starting to fall in love with Riyu!"

Hearing Lila Noval's words stop and turn to look at Lila with a sharp look. "Miss, our relationship is just the limit of pleasure. So stop meddling in my business!" Noval got into the car and drove away leaving Lila still standing looking at him.

"Basic!" Lila's grouse which then followed went from that place.

Arriving at home, Lila walked to her room, but when she looked at the park bench, she was amazed to see Madrol who was laughing himself staring at the screen of his cellphone.

"Papa? What is Papa doing?" Lila said with a surprised expression.

"Crazy. My daughter, papa is feeling very happy"

"Oh yeah? What makes you so happy? To the point that you laugh at yourself like a lost wits!"

He chuckled and then approached Lila, "My daughter, I know you're still disappointed with Sam's treatment of you. But we still have another chance"

"There's definitely another chance pa, what else is it now that Riyu has left, so I can have a chance to get close to Sam right?

"That's your wish Lila! Papa has other plans.

"other plans? Mean Papa?" Lila frowned.

"You can't get Sam Lila, but can't you get Noval?" Said Mumbir who wanted to take advantage of his daughter.

"Noval? Pa, me and Noval are just having fun! Lagian Lila ain't in love with Noval" Lila protests.

"Crazy! For this matter put aside that ridiculous love first! Now Noval has managed to stand as the master of the Galuh family, plus the state of Riyu which now he must have great power. You can take advantage of this opportunity"

Lila stared silently at Mumbar,

"You know what Papa means?" He said in his cynical laughter.

"Ep... But pa, I met Noval on the street. She looks strange after visiting Ryu"

"How weird?"

"Yes... Odd anyway. Papa's. Is Noval starting to fall in love with Riyu?"

Hearing Lila Mawil's words laughed out loud. "Crazy. Noval may be in love with Riyu! All this time, he hated her. Don't think too far, all you have to think about now is how you can stay close to Noval. Understand!"

Lila nodded slowly.

Lila fell silent and stopped her steps while looking at Mumbar's back. "It seems very important that papa does not want to tell me, what exactly is being targeted by papa" muttered Lila, he shrugged his shoulders and immediately went to his room.
