Love Will Bring You Back

1. Beginning of meeting

Today is the last test of the national exam at SMU, Soffie immediately headed to the transjakarta stop to visit her brother who works at the Pratama Group office in Jalan Sudirman Area. Soffie ran away from her school gate which was not far from the transJakarta bus stop.  When heading to Stop, Soffie had seen the transjakarta bus will soon enter the stop some time away.

Soffie immediately sped up his run and entered the bus stop. He waited for the bus to come and boarded.  The bus left the school area.  Soffie, who was still wearing an ash uniform, descended in front of the Sudirman City stop and he immediately walked to the Pratama Group Building, which happened to be located not far from the transjakarta stop.

Before entering the high building, he took a breath and mentally strengthened to meet the person he had been in contact with for several weeks but was ignored by the person. The 30-story building is the headquarters of the largest business industry in Southeast Asia. I have to dare to meet Sonny's brother for papa's sake.

The time shows at 10:20 when the soffie to the receptionist table on the 1st floor, Seen by two neat and friendly impressed women welcome every guest who comes to the office.  Soffie smiles at the two women and will immediately express the purpose of his visit to the office, but one of the receptionist officers greeted him kindly.

“Good morning brother, can anyone help?’ ask the receptionist kindly.

“Good Morning Ma'am,.... I want to see my sister, Sonny Budianto Chandra, in the legal section,”.

“Do you have an appointment? “

“Not yet , but this is very important, ma'am... because I have called many times but not appointed by him,’ replied Soffie honestly.

“Before a minute, can you know whose sister's name is?”

“Soffie..

Not yet answered by the receptionist, suddenly a baritone voice chimed in quite kindly and the two officers smiled, greeting politely to the owner of the voice, saying hello, but ignored by the person and chose to reprimand Soffie.

“hei , you want to see Sonny, ... Come with me.  I also want to go to his room he co, ” invite him friendly, and unexpectedly the owner of the voice immediately pulled Soffie's hand towards the elevator that was automatically open towards the 24th floor.

 “Iya sir, thanks. “Tell me while releasing the hands of the familiar father.

“ Father, this is Brother Sonny's friend? " I said again with a probing look to a man who I thought was the same age as my older brother.

 “ Yes, but elo don't call me , mr donk, old is very my impression,. call me brother David,” While reaching out his hand and shaking acquaintance with soffie with a friendly smile.  Soffie received a hand from David .

“ Why did you meet Sonny? ummm....  Elo gk this school, or elo again truant huh? " Search David for noticing Soffie still wearing her school uniform and it's still school hours.

 “I want to see Brother Sonny because papa is very sick and hospitalized.

 “Did Sonny rarely come home after marriage?   Sonny ko gk once told me he had a sister son SMU yach... but you are really his sister? ... emh or you are really his sister or some kind of big sister met nih?’  Ask again with a dirty smile.

 “ emmm..... sorry sis.... gk good story, because we just know but I have to see brother sonny soon. Our papa is really sick. Brother Sonny gk want to pick up the phone and answer my message, please help me to meet Sonny brother, brother,…

 “ okay, I help you, just calm down, “ he said lightly and with a smile.

The elevator door opened and my hand was immediately pulled by Brother David, without hesitation. We walked into a room not far from the elevator . In front of the glass room it says "Legal Dept" .  Some employees along the corridor noticed us and there were also some employees who greeted Brother David kindly, They were astonished to see David pulling the hand of SMU children. David walked leisurely and Soffie still walked behind him with her left hand still in David's hand.   His steps stopped and immediately opened a room door and David immediately spoke to the person in the room.

“ Son.. there is your sister nih nyariin …. “

It wasn't finished David spoke and saw Sonny's surprised expression . Sonny was immediately angry to see an SMU child in his office and a rude and tight swear word came straight out of sony's mouth.

“ Why elo here.. bren***k... keluaaaar…!! ” Sonny's face flushed red while yelling at that SMU kid.  Sonny walked towards David who was standing next to the SMU boy.  David was very surprised to see Sonny's response and immediately replied,

“ heh.., why is Elo angry, Son?  David asked in confusion and looked at me.

David thinks maybe the child is not the sister of Sonny really but a big sister, aka Sony fans. ‘ Wahdang turned out to be a beautiful and innocent SMU child like a fraud.. Too bad even though her face is beautiful, her body is also balanced not too thin and her hair is also beautifully wavy even though she is stripped one behind. Her skin was clean and her smile was so sweet in David's eyes.

Sonny pulled the high school boy roughly.  He immediately exited his room to the elevator with still pulling the hand of the SMU girl rough.  David, still shocked at the incident in Sonny's room, followed his second step and entered the elevator which would descend back to the ground floor.  The elevator doors closed when the three of them entered. Sonny immediately pressed the number 1 and reprimanded David without releasing his hand from Soffie

“ Why elo follow me?  “Hardiknya to David.

“ih , I want to buy breakfast tau, I want to go to the cafeteria down, I thought it helped this sweet sister find you elo ,.       and nothing has been sprayed and uh. ..elo detelin donk your hand from this sweet boy, kasian tau this beautiful girl .. elo clutch tightly." Said David trying to release Sonny's hand from the SMU boy.

“don't interfere in my affairs, and elo don't dare to approach him!!  " Say was still angry at David who seemed to glance at Soffie. Sonny does not like the view of David who seems to want to tease this SMU child. Sonny glared and pulled Soffie to the back of his body so that David would not look at the girl in a gray uniform.

“ Never come here again! Remember that Elo is not my sister! Indiscriminate if you say” "yell Sonny with full of emotion.

“ but brother, papa is very sick brother..... papa wants to see brother, “said Soffie with trembling while crying and begging her brother to listen to her.

“ Listen it's none of my business! Remember never call me. and elo don't dare come here again looking for me, take care of our respective business ! "shouts Sonny with anger.

Sonny turned around leaving Soffie who still fell sitting in front of the lobby. The views of Security and front office officers who were in front of the lobby on him were ignored.  Sonny walked straight into the lobby and passed David who was paying for the food he bought at the cafeteria cashier.

“ Brother Sonny, pity papa sis! Brother Sonny….Brother ...” Shouted Soffie again while sobbing. Soffie is saddened that his failed attempt leads Sonny to meet his terminally ill papa.

"that's your papa and he's not my papa anymore!” he said without looking and did not turn towards Soffie who was still sitting on the floor crying tears.

The views of some passers-by and the security guard there noticed their interaction going on in disharmoniously. Soffie was still crying and trying to get up from the fall and she wiped away the tears that were still rushing with her right hand.  Suddenly a hand seemed to extend a handkerchief to her. Soffie looked up and saw the handkerchief-giver's face. David is trying to help him.

“ Use this to wipe your tears !” david told Soffie

Soffie was stunned, he was embarrassed and only realized that the incident was noticed by many people around him. He was confused and accepted the handkerchief and immediately received the man's handkerchief. David helps Soffie stand up and holds her shoulders tenderly.

“ayok we drink first in the cafeteria, later I will help elo talk to Sony” he said David kindly.

“ Thanks brother, but really Brother David want to help me?” while removing the rest of her tears that were still dripping.

David nodded and pulled the SMU boy's hand towards one of the seats in the Cafeteria. The 1st floor Cafeteria. David invites Soffie to talk first while drinking a glass of hot chocolate. Soffie who was sitting in front of David had started to calm down somewhat and was able to smile.

“Tell me about what happened in your family, so I can help you talk to Sonny,’ he said opening a conversation with soffie.

“ We are not familiar, Brother David.  Sonny's mom died giving birth to Sonny's sister and my mom used to be papa's secretary and she quit her job when they got married 20 years ago, Sonny's sister originally lived with my dad and my mom. when I was born Brother Sonny was angry and did not want to live with papa anymore and chose to join the grandfather of the family mama brother Sonny in Surabaya. We only met on school holidays and Brother Sonny never wanted to talk to me. But this is very urgent brother David, papa is currently very sick and has often been unconscious, said Riki doctor who treated papa, who was not aware,  papa's time is just around the corner, and according to my mom, it looks like papa is waiting for Sonny's brother to arrive, “ Soffie said in tears while crying and still using a handkerchief from David to wipe her tears.

“ Sorry Brother, his handkerchief is wet and dirty because of my tears." said Soffie who still shed tears when telling stories. Soffie was really sad to remember her father who missed Sonny so much. But his brother was still angry at his family.

“ Gak papa, it's for elo only, phi

“ Thank you brother David . Thank you for the hot chocolate and thank you for your handkerchief.  " Said Soffie while looking at David.

"It's okay. Later I'll talk to your brother.

"thank you also for your good intentions, hopefully there is a good result and Sonny brother wants to visit papa.

“Give me his address and hospital room, later in the afternoon I will take your brother there. David took the pen from his shirt bag and tore the note paper on the cafeteria table and asked me to write the hospital address there.

Soffie immediately wrote down the name of one of the hospitals in the South Jakarta area and handed it to David.

“ Elo can go home alone right?  I still have to work" said David again.

Soffie nodded and smiled. David smiles as he looks at Soffie's sweet face and invites her to leave the cafeteria and part ways in front of the Officers Building lobby.

“Thank you brother David, for his help.

“Oke... I'll see you later in the afternoon.

The encounter with David was very memorable in Soffie's heart. He was still holding the handkerchief of the man earlier

helped him. Soffie really hopes David really comes with Sonny later in the afternoon. Soffie's steps felt light when heading to the transjakarta stop. He prayed on the way that David's efforts to persuade his brother to see his father would produce good results. Hope so.
