The End of a Story

The flashback

The studio atmosphere is still quiet. No customers have come because it is still a bit early. Reno who is about to start his business is busy cleaning his camera to function properly.

Suddenly Reno heard a knock at the open door with greetings from a man and a woman. Reno turned her face towards the person who had visited that morning and immediately stopped her work.

"Assalamualaik." The two men said their greetings at the same time.

"Getishalight." Reno put back the camera and the tools she used to clean it up and approached her two guests.

"Mrs." Reno greeted Lidya and immediately kissed the back of the old woman's hands reverently. Lidya stood up in a graceful style staring at the young man intensely. Behind him stood Yasin as his bodyguard.

"Sorry Madam, my studio is just like this and a mess" Reno said.

"What the hell, I came here because there's something important I want to talk about" Lidya said.

"I just want to tell you one thing, Ray and Aurel are getting married. For that please do not blame me if later after they are married I will force Aurel to abort the womb. I don't want anyone else in my family. I'll just assume the great-granddaughter of Ray's flesh blood," Oma continued a little threateningly.

After arriving at the hospital, Gibran was immediately treated by a doctor. Gibran went back into the ICU. Medina waited anxiously. May her husband be well. After an hour, the doctor came out of the room.

"The patient is conscious but very weak. Excuse me, is there a mother named Medina and mother Rika? The patient wanted to see the person I mentioned earlier" the doctor said.

"Two people came in, ma'am" the doctor said.

"Thank you doctor" said Medina and Rika together. The doctor nodded and smiled.

Rika and Medina immediately entered the ICU room after wearing special clothes. Rika sat to the right of Gibran, and Medina sat to the left.

"I'm sorry Gibran Ma. Gibran thinks Gibran can't take care of Medina anymore. Mama please take care of Medina huh," Gibran said in a soft and stammering voice.

"Don't say that, son. You will recover, Mama sure Mama's child will recover as usual," Rika grasped his son's hand and kissed him.

"Ma .. Can Gibran talk to Medina both?" gibran said again.

"Of course, Mama's going out but Gibran's promise has to be strong." Rika got up from her seat and walked out of the room.

"Yes Adam my son." Gibran's reply left Ray speechless. How could Gibran give the same name he gave to the child of Medina.

Three days later.

"Me, I want to hear the story" Gibran said, smiling.

"What else is the story about? Just tell me about the future, huh?" Gibran nodded in agreement.

"Tomorrow ..the doctor will come and say that Mas is cured. Then after Mas Gibran recovers we'll be together back in America. We'll keep our son together. Raised them both." Medina told me in tears.

Gibran smiled happily listening to Medina's future delusion. Sometimes he breathed a long sigh because of difficulty in breathing even though the oxygen hose had been attached to cover his mouth and nose.
