Edward monitored six outlets outside Jakarta after Mikaila's condition began to improve. On the third day he awoke from his stupor and his breathing apparatus was opened. And after two weeks of being treated, the man was pretty sure to leave her in the hospital with the nurses for a few days to go to the area.
After visiting Makassar, the last city he visited was Medan.
Edward visited the city again after three months of his last visit, when he made the pledge at the Salman Al-Farisy Mosque. Sarah was relieved because the man seemed to obey what he asked her not to show the attitude that they were being overwhelmed. Edward was just doing regular monitoring as usual. There was no special attitude he showed himself. The man only smiled when he had entered the outlet, and he did so to all the women.
Something strange is felt by Sarah. Actually this week he got an afternoon shif. But last night hesti called her that there was a sudden family affair, so couldn't get in the morning shif. It doesn't matter to him if he has to exchange shif. So he was even happy because he could follow the study of Ustadj Faruk later tonight. And this morning Edward visited the outlet. Like a planned coincidence. Was this the man's interference? Think Sarah su’uzon. But the girl immediately removed all the prejudices she had in her heart.
During the break, Edward treated Purnomo and all the employees to lunch. But Sarah apologized for not being able to join. The man looked rather disappointed that the girl did not eat.
Sarah has just finished praying zuhur and will return to the outlet, when there is a notification from her smartphone.
Edward sent her two messages.
Assallamalaikum. Sarah, there's a study tonight with Ustadj Faruk ‘ right? We'll meet there.
Sarah smiled as she shook her head as she read the message. This was the purpose of the 'intervention of the man' that he was referring to earlier.
Open another message.
Sorry I didn't go back to the outlet, wanted a break at the hotel. I ordered teriyaki chickens and salads in Hobben. The nation also exists. Eaten huh?
The girl smiled again and immediately got up leaving the mushola.
Edward arrived at the green-domed mosque, thirty minutes before the azan magrib was proclaimed. He greeted Ustadj Faruk, whom he met in the room of the mosque's marbot. Ustadj then invited him to chat on the terrace to join some pilgrims who had come. He asked about Edward's progress during his studies at Al-Waqilah. Not to forget the man also conveyed greetings from Ustadj Zakaria. They chatted until the voice of Azan reverberated.
Finishing the magrib prayer, Edward intended to meet the ustadj again to invite him to dinner. But it seems someone has preceded it. He saw Ustadj Faruk sitting alone with a man on the terrace of the mosque. The man who also wore a pakistani robe and had a skullcap like himself seemed to seriously convey something to him. Because it seemed like the two of them were talking about something important, so Edward also discouraged the intention to join.
Edward chose to sit leaning against one of the marble-clad pillars of the mosque, not far from Ustadj Zakaria and the man sat down. He paused for dinner by himself. That afternoon the man had eaten two croissants and a cup of coffee at the hotel, so he was not too hungry.
He also tried to call Sarah, just wanted to ask already gone or not? But the call was not raised. Maybe Sarah's on the road again, he thought. Edward called Mikaila.
“Halo, Mikaila. How's your condition?”
“Doctor says my health development is good. But I'm tired, Ed.”
“Sabar yes. You can only go home after a recommendation from the doctor.” said Edward as his hand rolled up his robe arm.
“I promise I will accompany you to sit in the hospital garden later. I am back in Jakarta tomorrow. It's me again in Medan.”
“Hhmm. Have you met Sarah, Ed?”
“For what to ask about him? You will be sad again, Mikaila.” Edward scrunched his forehead.
“I'm fine, Ed.” Weak laughter from across.
“Yes because he stayed at the outlet, it is certain we met. Anyway I came here to work, not to meet him.” Edward told a lie.
The fact that Mikaila did not know, from earlier the man's face wiggled, just in case Sarah had come to the mosque.
“Oh yes, have you eaten and taken medicine yet?” ask Edward to try to shift the subject.
“Already.”
“Ya already, just rest yes. I just wanted to make sure you ate or not."
"Hhhhhhh." Mikaila cumbersome.
Good night.”
“Good night to.”
Tut tut tut tut's.
Edward disconnected his call.
While waiting for the isya time to arrive, he also opened the Iqra application on his smartphone to try to repeat the Arabic reading study again. But just as he was about to start reading, his eyes fell on a body wrapped in a white hijab that was walking up the steps of the mosque. The man's eyes did not blink looking at Sarah whom he saw so beautiful tonight.
Be loved, ulam arrived. As the dipper greeted her, Sarah also turned to him. Sarah and Edward both smiled as their gazes met.
But that moment wasn't long. Only glimpses. The girl hurriedly lowered her face.
“Astaghfirullah!” said realized.
As an adult, she has dated dozens of women. But it felt like the feeling he had been feeling was bland. His relationship with those women was only to let go of his desires, not because there was a feeling coming from his heart in them.
But the experience with Sarah tonight was wonderful. Even if it was just looking at his face. Something that is difficult to obtain is indeed very beautiful and valuable. Hunting is more challenging than enjoying the results of the hunt itself.
Edward accidentally saw that the man who had been chatting with Ustadj Faruk also looked at the girl's face with a smile until the girl's body disappeared into the mosque. At once Edward felt dislike for the man for doing that to Sarah. It turned out to be the nature of a man likes to look at a woman let alone a beautiful one like the girl, Edward's mind grumbled.
"Brother Rais!”
Edward heard Ustadj Faruk calling a man who was walking in the courtyard of the mosque from the ablution. The man approached and greeted them both.
“Assallamalaikum, Ustadj!”
Looks like he already knew the man who was with Ustadj Faruk.
“Wa’alaikumsallam. Brother Rais, later after my studies ask for a moment. Something I want to say.”
“Oh yes, God willing, Ustadj.” says smiling man.
Adhan isya has been reverberating. Everyone goes to the mosque to get ready to perform the fardhu isya prayer.
After finishing his studies, Rais tells Sarah that he was asked to meet Ustadj Faruk because there are important things that will be discussed. The man said maybe only thirty minutes and asked himself to wait a little. Sarah sat alone on the porch, while other worshippers had begun to leave the mosque. The girl saw Rais meet Ustadj Faruk who was sitting in the corner of the terrace near the room of the marbot, but because of the distance, she could not hear what they were talking about.
“Begini Brother Rais, I want to talk about sister brother, Sarah.” Ustadj Faruk opened the conversation after the two of them sat face to face.
“What's with my sister, Ustadj?” Rais frowned.
“Before I want to ask, has Sarah been there to whitbah?”
Rais was surprised by the question. For all he knows, Sarah is currently taaruf with a man named Edward, his superior who has just converted and is studying Islam. But to this day, he had never met the stranger. And Rais was confused as to what to explain to him. He had no right to tell about the two of them.
“Sorry before Ustadj, why did Ustadj ask that?” ask Rais carefully.
“Rahmatianlillah. Someone intends to preach Sarah, Brother Rais.” explained Ustadj Faruk smiling.
Rais had guessed where the ustadj talks were headed.
“Today no man has come to me with the intention of preaching Sarah. And if it turns out, he's currently dating a man, it's all beyond my knowledge. I'll ask him later.”
“Aalhamdulillah's. So God willing, the intention of this person wants to connect the friendship with your family there is no obstacle whatsoever.”
“Did he already know Sarah so sure he wanted to preach my sister?”
“She already knows Sarah, but only limited to seeing, because she is also a worshiper of our studies here.”
“Our congregation, Ustadj?” Rais again scrunched his forehead.
“Yes. That is why I know very well how his character and religion are. Like he is also sure how morals and religion Sarah.”
“Do I also know him Ustadj." Rais's heart is pounding.
“Brother Rais already knows him. And now he's still here.”
Rais was surprised to hear his words. Instantly his eyes looked around. He observed one by one the worshippers who were still in the mosque complex and thought one of them was the person Ustadj Faruk meant.
But instead of finding a clue, his eyes caught Sarah sitting with a man. He could not see the man's face because of his position on his back to Rais.
Who's the guy? It's not unusual for Sarah to serve a chat with a man even in the open like this and still sit at a polite distance. But his curiosity about the man soon he brushed. At this time his heart was more curious about who the person was meant by Ustadj Faruk earlier.
Ustadj Faruk smiled at Rais who was like a confused person. He immediately turned to his right side and called out a name.
Furqan!”
Jleeb!!!
Like one who was shocked by the sudden flash of lightning, Rais stammered upon hearing a name called by Ustadj Faruk.
And like a person who has not exhausted his surprise because of the lightning flash earlier and must come back surprised because of the thunder that boomed, he said, Rais was again startled by a man who came out of the marbot room with a smile and walked up to him.
The constant shock.
