Love Indira (My Ex-Lover's Mother)

Love Indira (My Ex-Lover's Mother)
Go Home to the Village

This afternoon Edwin planned to return to the village. After the interview test yesterday, this morning he got a call from the agent's office. There was a letter that Edwin's parents had to sign. The letter was in the form of a statement that both his parents allowed Edwin to leave the country.

From his friend's house where Edwin stayed for a few days, he drove to the agent's office alone. After he got the letter in question, he went straight to Indi's house to tell Indi his plan to return to the village.

Indi was sweeping the courtyard when Edwin came.

A smile graced her thin lips.

"That's the morning already come." Indi greeted with a cheerful heart while continuing to clean his yard.

"This time I want to go back to the village." Edwin sat in the house looking at the busy Indi.

Indi stopped his activities and turned towards Edwin.

"For what?" tanya Indi held back sadly. He had already taken three days off to accompany Edwin. And this is only the second day. If Edwin goes back to the village, it's useless that he doesn't work.

"There's a letter my parents have to sign."

"How long will you be in the village? Should it be today?"

"I don't know how long. But I don't want to procrastinate. The sooner I get their signatures the better. Everything went very well. Even faster than I imagined. I don't want to waste this opportunity." he said as if asking permission to leave Indi a few days in the village.

"What time do you work today? Why aren't you ready?" Edwin looked at his watch, it was almost nine in the morning. Apparently Edwin did not know that Indi was on leave.

Indi took a breath to hide his sadness.

"I'm on leave." he said.

"Lho, how many days off? How do I not know? I thought it was just the day you took a day off." Edwin was a little surprised. He did not think Indi took more than a day off.

"Three days, then two days of the weekend. So I'm off for five days and it's a second day."

Edwin smiled. He knew Indi must have taken a leave of absence to accompany him. But as usual, Edwin did not want to act pretentious. He asked Indi.

"What events are you taking?"

Indi was suddenly confused. He didn't think of the reason. There's no way he'd tell Edwin that he took time off to accompany Edwin. Then Indi continued to sweep the page so that Edwin did not know that he was confused.

"I'm just taking my cut rations that I haven't taken from the beginning of the year" he said. Indi breathes a sigh of relief. "May Edwin believe" he murmured inwardly.

"Then, how about you go to the village?" Edwin was very excited.

Indi was shocked to hear Edwin's words. He's not ready for Edwin's house. But Edwin's offer could be, too. That way they can stay together.

"You mean?" ask Indi as if he does not understand.

"We went back to the village together. I go to my house, you go to your house. Your parents' house is close to mine." she replied casually.

Indi was embarrassed because he thought Edwin would take him to Edwin's house. Hearing Edwin's words, Indi felt calmer. He didn't think he'd get there. "What do I do." Twice he was made ge-er by Edwin.

"We are leaving" said Indi.

"What path do you usually go?" edwin asked while putting his shoes back on.

"Normally the southern route. But now we have to go north, right?" the answer.

From the city there are two paths that Indi can pass to get to his parents' house. There is a north and a south. If passing the southern route, Indi will drive on the coast. The expanse of the high seas will bear witness to his journey. If he passes through the northern path, the expanse of rice fields and mountains will accompany him. But if he goes north, he'll pass Edwin's house before he gets to his parents' house. The north is a little further. He would have to drive about half an hour longer if he crossed the north lane. Therefore Indi very rarely pass that path. But since they were both gone and there was no way that Indi would invite her to stop by her parents' house, they would have to pass through the north lane.

"All right." Edwin walked up to his motor.

"Edwin, let's just use my bike." Indi approached Edwin while handing him the keys.

"Why?"

"Later you'll get home first.Trus I have to go home alone. If I come on someone else's bike, my dad can get angry" he said.

"Motormu just put it here. Aman kok." continued Indi.

Without thinking long Edwin improved his motorcycle parking position and took the Indi motorbike. Then they drove to their hometown.

***

Edwin drove Indi's matic motorbike, while Indi sat in the passenger seat. They look very familiar. No shame and awkward feeling. Several times Indi held Edwin's waist as they passed by a large truck. Edwin was very happy with Indi's behavior like that. He was not ceaselessly smiling.

Every time they see something strange on the street, they laugh together. They were like lovers who had been together for a long time. Edwin also rode his motorbike leisurely.

They've been driving for an hour and a half. They will arrive soon. Indi's feelings started to get messed up.

"When I get there, I'll see Arga.  What am I supposed to tell him? The truth is he's gonna see me coming with Edwin. I don't know if I love Edwin or not. But I feel happy to be around this guy. How do I explain everything to Arga?" thought.

"What if I meet with Miss Rika who once said she wanted to meet me?" Indi began to be confused. Again busy with his mind. Until he was unconscious, it turned out that they had arrived.

Edwin stopped his bike in front of an alley. Then he got off the bike. Indi looked at Edwin waiting for the order to come down and followed him. For a few minutes they looked at each other. Edwin did not ask him to come down. Indi is waiting. Indi did not have the courage to open her voice.

"Yes, I'm in first. You go home." said Edwin.

"you mean? I wasn't told to stop by?" Indi was only able to say in his heart. He wasn't brave enough to say that to Edwin. He looked at Edwin with a questionable astonished look.

"Be careful on the road." Edwin waved his hand and turned towards the street in the alley of his house.

Indi watched until Edwin entered a gate of the house, and that was his house. Fifty meters from the highway.

Tired of his confusion, Indi gasp to immediately go from there to his parents' house which is only half an hour from Edwin's house.

"I'm ge-er again. I thought Edwin would take me to stop by. I've been scared to see Arga or her mother. Hhhh. You Edwin, that guy's a bitch. Not understanding the feelings of women. When I wasn't told to stop by?" Indi talked to himself while still driving his vehicle to the house of his parents who he missed so much.
