CPA 15: Kiss the Dust of Friday Jihad

Darmawan and Irwan were silent with the motor lying dead for a moment. Darmawan had been separated from his motorbike, he was lying down after hitting a plastic trash can on the edge of a low sidewalk. While Irwan lay on the asphalt can not move, because the motor lying on his left leg. There is pain in the pinched leg. He just grimaced.

In the next chase, Darmawan and Irwan are fully aware that they have fallen. Darmawan immediately moved to get up and sit while grimacing and thinking slowly. He tried to immediately control all his five senses. The pain of whacking some of his limbs.

A number of people near the site immediately arrived after they were startled by the incident. Three men immediately helped Irwan by lifting the motorbike then pushed it and parked it on the edge. Irwan could move and stand. Two local people helped Darmawan to stand up.

Darmawan gave an answer that he was okay when the person who helped him asked his situation. He immediately came to Irwan with a step slightly limped and grimaced with pain. Pain in his right knee and right elbow. Pants on the knee and sleeves of the jacket torn asphalt.

Irwan's left leg was bleeding at the ankle. Two fingers of his right hand were bleeding. The helmet glass she was wearing broke, but her head and face were kept awake. A fairly excruciating pain felt Irwan's neck.

“How? Need to clinic?” ask one of the people who helped.

“It's okay, Sir. Later we will go to the clinic by ourselves,” replied Darmawan after knowing Irwan's wounds.

“Iya, Sir. The wound is not too severe, just a blister,” said Irwan who immediately thought about whether they could arrive on time to the destination.

“Nih, keys, Mas!” said a middle-aged man who had pushed Darmawan motorbike and secured the key so as not to be preceded by bad people who took advantage of the misfortune of others.

“Thank you, Sir,” said Darmawan.

“Drink first, Dik!” said another resident who immediately brought bottled drinking water for both. “Be careful!”

“Iya, Sir. That's the mothers in front of me, the penny lamp to the left turns right,” said Darmawan.

“Sit down first, let his feelings and thoughts calm down first!” said another citizen.

Irwan chose to sit on the edge of the sidewalk. While Darmawan check the condition of the motor. The left rearview mirror broke, the motor body was badly scuffed, the left penny lamp also broke, and the footrest was slightly bent. Darmawan tried to turn the engine on.

“Alhamdulillah, can still walk,” said Darmawan.

Darmawan turned off the engine again and approached Irwan.

Seeing that the injuries suffered by Darmawan and Irwan were not so serious, the residents began to disperse. Irwan had already covered the wound on his wrist with the ties of a handkerchief cloth that was in his sling bag.

“Why can it fall?” ask the man who has a small merchandise on the sidewalk.

“The mother just looked shocked then wa ‘alaikum greetings!” timpal Irwan, too, was upset.

“God, test for us,” said Darmawan while smiling in his pain. “We go to the clinic first, Wan, fear of antum wound infection.”

“But will be hunted no?” ask Irwan.

“If not hunted, we pray in the nearest mosque only. After our prayers go directly there, hopefully we can join the meeting,” said Darmawan.

“We go to the clinic for a while,” said Irwan agreed.

Darmawan then asked the location of the nearest clinic to the shop owner. After paying for what was taken, the two went on a motorcycle ride to the clinic shown.

“Alhamdulillah the road is not a problem,” said Darmawan when feeling the normal speed of his motor.

In the clinic it turns out to be quite time consuming, because it has to go through the list process and wait. Right after Darmawan and Irwan's wounds were cleaned and bandaged, the Friday prayer time was only ten minutes away. Both of them decided to stop by prayer at a nearby mosque.

After prayers they continued their journey.

“Don't come home, Dar!” Irwan this time dared to advise Darmawan.

“Good, well,” said Darmawan according to with a small laugh. He tried to understand Irwan's worries, the problem had been proven they had just fallen, although it was not Darmawan's fault. “But no antum sprains, right?”

“Gak, just a sore neck right. My head hit the asphalt, hard. Try not to wear a helmet, innalillahi,” replied Irwan.

“Innalilahi if martyr, yes it's okay,” said Darmawan then laughed loosely, as if without burden again.

Irwan laughed too. The accident they had just experienced seemed to harden their spirits. Somehow, the incident actually gave pleasure in their hearts while on a journey that they believe is fii sabilillah (in the way of Allah).

“Let's just say we smell the dust of jihad, Dar,” Irwan said consolingly.

“Seal!” yelled Darmawan and then laughed again.

“Focus, focus! Do not be martyred before defending Al-Aqsa!” irwan said that made the two laugh again. (BH)
