Dare to sacrifice work for religious affairs is a principle espoused by Irwan. Therefore, on Friday he did not enter work permit.
“There is a very important and urgent affair, Mas,” Irwan said during a permit to foreman Solihin on Thursday afternoon ahead of returning home from work.
“What's important business? Married not yet,” said Solihin jokingly whose sign assented.
Irwan who was quite familiar with his foreman just laughed grimly, but did not answer frankly.
“Let's not give me a hand, Mas,” said Irwan gave a bribe in the back.
“Iya, later let me take care of Mpok Syamsiah,” said Solihin still joking.
Irwan just laughed, he did not want to get tired of verbal to explain or deny the alleged foreman.
As a large v-cut machine operator, only a few people can replace his position if he does not enter work. In addition to his foreman and deputy, there was only one employee who could, and he held an important post in another section. If Irwan does not enter, it is usually the foreman Solihin or his deputy who replaces him.
On Friday, as communication was created between Irwan and Darmawan, the two finally met two hours before the Friday morning. An hour away by motorcycle is enough time to get to the mosque where a number of scholars gathered to discuss about Al-Aqsa Mosque after prayers.
Without the obstacle, Irwan and Darmawan meet each other at the agreed place. Then the two went together to explore the highway of the Indonesian Capital.
Apparently, Darmawan has a way of driving that is quite extreme, fast and hasty, but he is agile to control the bike. In his heart, Irwan pounded also riding a motorcycle with Darmawan, but the feeling he held and tried to calm down and not be afraid. He had to trust his new friend.
When the road is spacious, Darmawan pull gas fast. When stuck, a narrow gap between the two cars he forced, the important thing is not to scratch the car body. Fighting opportunities with other motorcycles he lakoni. In Irwan's heart only bellied but did not comment.
“Woi! Mau die!” chanted the crib driver as Darmawan overtook with narrow odds.
The meaning was very clearly heard in the ears of Darmawan and Irwan. However, Darmawan continued to dart no matter. He just laughed.
“Cause, Wan. If in my way it is like this, wild innate,” said Darmawan to Irwan. “Maclum daily spirit of jihad, hahaha!”
Irwan also laughed behind the nape of Darmawan.
However, there is something unique about a Darmawan. At one time he suddenly pulled over from the big road and stopped.
Irwan went down and walked to the back while his eyes focused on paying attention to the asphalt road designated by Darmawan. After searching for a moment, Irwan finally found a number of new spikes. Carefully by the fast-moving vehicle, Irwan raised his hand to the vehicle that was about to pass in order to swallow, so he freely picked up the nail that was slightly inclined to the middle. After picking up the nail, Irwan threw it to a safe place from the vehicle tire.
Irwan returned to Darmawan and continued on his way.
Not long while he was driving, Darmawan again swallowed suddenly. After making sure his position was safe, he stopped a bit on the edge and went down himself picking up a stone as big as a pensive grip somewhat to the middle of the road.
Seeing Darmawan's reaction to things that are sometimes underestimated like that, there appeared admiration in Irwan's heart. He does not need to ask Darmawan, because that is what Allah commands a Muslim to behave in the way.
“It's a working day, antum no problem not working, Wan?” ask Darmawan, when they go back to speeding.
“For the sake of Islam and Ummah, I do not mind sacrificing work. The sustenance of God is everywhere, Dar. Do not let us understand that the source of money or sustenance is only centered in one place. Our sustenance is God who holds and rules, not us. If we please God, of course it is very easy to be given abundant sustenance from anywhere,” Irwan replied as well as an explanation.
“Allahuakbar! Steady soul!” exclaim Darmawan then laugh. “Rubber, Wan. Tawhid should be planted deeply and then continue to flush. I am grateful, even though the work is only selling ice in front of the elementary school, but I can manage my business as I want. So it doesn't deter me if there's a jihad affair like this.”
“You have been active in Al-Aqsa's affairs for a long time?” ask Irwan.
“Just started Sunday yesterday. It's just that I was close to Hendra, an Islamic media journalist yesterday who gave an address to Antum. He likes to stop by the house and many stories about Al-Aqsa Mosque and the struggles of Muslims in Indonesia. Long ago my jihad spirit burned as well.”
“If you heard the presentation of Ustaz Taufik on Sunday yesterday, it seems there is no reason for Muslims not to care about the condition of our third mosque. But what I catch, in general, many of these people, even their scholars, are still thinking on a local scale. They are more likely to think that before helping Muslims as far away as in Palestine or Syria, helping Muslims who are in distress in their own country is much more important
“True true. I once met a character called ustaz, asking such questions. I am still layman about the science of this struggle, so can not fight back his argument. How can an iceberg debate the same ustaz who memorized the Quran?”
“But if you think about it, of course ustaz-ustaz who fight on this road have a strong pretext as well. In yesterday's paper I read, it is clearly the responsibility of all the Muslims of the world. If later in the future we are asked by Allah, ‘What have you done to defend Al-Aqsa?’ We can die if we do nothing. The Apostle and the Companions only defend themselves, so they must follow the sunnah of the Prophet and the Companions.”
“True true. Allahuakbar!” darmawan said then suddenly shouted in surprise.
Brak! The sreeet! Brakr!
“Innalillah!” peek Irwan also along with suddenly the view and his head that was slammed into the asphalt then moved wildly without any apparent form. (BH)
