Love Does Not Come Too Late

Love Does Not Come Too Late
Memories

Lea was still speechless thinking of the right answer for the woman before her.

"Willi ...." Dea smiled broadly staring towards the second floor. Lea raised her head, William kneeling down was peering at them from behind the second floor dividing pillar.

"William, it's mami." Dea stood up and walked towards the stairs.

Leah quickly blocked her ex-wife's move, before her legs crammed into the first steps of their home.

"Why you!" exclaim Dea felt in the way.

"I'm sorry I didn't block my mother from meeting William, but I haven't gotten any information from my husband." Leah stretched out her hands, blocking the path of Dea.

"I just want to meet my son ... William, here son." Dea turned her head to ask William to come down, unexpectedly William turned in and slammed the door hard.

"You influence what my son is!!" Dea looked at Lea with anger.

"I didn't say anything, maybe William wasn't ready to meet you." Leah said very slowly. She still respects her husband's ex-wife.

"Omong is empty!, there is no child who does not want to meet his mother. It must have been you who had influenced his mind!," Dea accused as she pointed her index finger right in front of Lea's face.

"Once again, I didn't say anything. You'd better ask permission first with the Papi to set the time you met William."

"I've asked permission, and of course Ray's allowed me to meet our baby." Dea deliberately mentioned Raymond's name with affection and also confirmed the word of our baby.

"But if my husband hasn't given me the information, I'm sorry I can't step over it." Leah stayed under the stairs.

"Oww, so you need proof that Ray has given me permission?" Dea picked up her phone and opened the conversation data.

Dea showed data on his conversation with Raymond this morning, there were several calls and there was one note they talked for about thirty minutes more.

Lea's forehead shriveled at the call data on Dea's phone, her husband conversing with his ex-wife. As long as it was about what they were talking about, why would Raymond not tell him if he had allowed Dea to meet William.

"I'm sorry, not believing I should hear myself." Lea gestured to Mbok Nah who had been standing in the kitchen doorway alertly, to pick up her phone left behind in the kitchen.

"Please," Dea smiled meaningfully as Lea repeatedly tried to contact Raymond, but there was no answer.

He knew Raymond's phone must have been damaged because he had heard it slammed down before the call was interrupted.

"How's it?" he asked as Lea's face filled with anxiety.

"Here you go, I just want to meet my son." Dea tried to step forward, but her hand was blocked by Lea.

"I'm sorry before my husband lets you, I still can't let you meet William."

"Who do you dare to hinder me?!, I am William's mother!, you have no right to forbid me from meeting my son, you are only a stepmother!" Dea continued to say in a loud voice, shouting in front of Leah's face.

"I have no rights, but Papi of William has rights and he gave me the trust to take care of his son."

"Surge!" Dea tried to push Lea's body to the side. Lea painstakingly endured by holding on to the end of the ladder handrail.

"isnya ... Madameaa, argue don't be so rude. Later, you are angry, if the storm even Madam can not meet William is bad. There's his great-grandson here." Mbok Nah held Dea's hand which was already holding Lea's shoulder.

He deliberately scared Dea about the existence of CCTV in the house, even though the tool had not been installed because the house was new.

"Look, you'll regret forbidding me to meet my son" Dea threatened before leaving their home.

Lea was sitting limp on the stairs after the sound of Dea's car was heard away.

"Bok, please look at William in the room." Lea wanted to immediately go up to see William's condition, but suddenly her stomach aches like being stabbed.

A few minutes later Mbok Nah came down from the second floor, "Ga opened the door, I've been ngetok back and forth anyway."

"Why Him?, maybe surprised because of the same birth of Dea. Madam rest in the room, I'll bring you some warm tea." Mbok Nah led Lea to reach the second floor.

"Thank you, Mbok."

After making sure Maura remained asleep in her room unperturbed by Dea's loud noise, Lea headed to William's room.

"Wills ... William, this is Mama don't be afraid. William is fine, right?, if you find Mama, Mama is in the room." After hearing the words from inside the room, Lea headed to her room and lay down on her bed.

Lea woke up when a small hand grabbed her from behind. Apparently he fell asleep after drinking a cup of warm tea brought by Mbok Nah into the room.

"William?" Lea turned around, facing the son. William's face was puffy with eyes that were still red.

"Why?" Lea rubbed William's hair with affection.

"Fear .. I'm afraid." William cried again, his face he hid behind a pillow.

"Willi was afraid of what?, want a story?, Mama want to listen," Lea patiently waited until William's sobbing slightly subsided.

"I don't want to hear Papi and Mami fighting. It's a loud voice." William closed both his ears.

"But with Mami William did not quarrel, did Papi not get angry earlier?"

"So Mami wants to see William ... Willi, would you like to see Mami?" ask Lea slowly. William raised his face.

He nodded slowly, "But scared."

"Fear of who?"

"Later Papi gets angry, I don't like Mami's friends either." His face hardened, just like Raymond, when he was holding back anger.

"The evil Mami's friend, he beat Papi until his face bled. Mami ga nolongin Papi but instead please her friend. I don't like it!" William is hysterical.

Lea understands the memories of the bad past although short, very imprinted in the memory of children when they were young.

William only knew that night that Papi and his mother had a big fight, cursing and shouting at each other. Her papa beats each other with her Mama's friend, and her Mama only helps her friend instead of her Papi.

After that she remembered her Papi drove away her Mother, without giving her a chance to hug and kiss her. That's all that sticks in his memory, about what and why he doesn't understand at all.

"William has nothing to fear, now there's Mama. If William's afraid he'll hide behind Mama okay?" Lea smiled as she thrust out her little finger which William greeted with a smile.

"William is now big, eight years old. He said he wanted to be strong like a spiderman, if still afraid and crying like this who protected Mama as well as Maura." Lea put on a sad face.

"I promise I'm not afraid anymore, now I'm strong because I have to be able to take care of Maura with Mama." William sat down and leaned against the stacked pillow and wiped the tears on his cheek.

"Naah, that's dong." Lea scrambles William's brown hair.

"Ma," call William in doubt.

"Don't tell Papi that Mami came here. I don't want to see Papi and Mami fighting again." A moment Lea was stunned to hear William's request, after which he nodded in agreement.
