Even a week of Huda's departure makes Desy start to miss the figure who used to always accompany him every meal in the morning and afternoon. Today is Friday where all activities in the pesantren in liburkan.
"Mbak Desy, called Umik!" a santriwati patted Desy on the shoulder who was walking back to the bathroom after taking a shower.
"Umik where's Mama?" sahut Desy's.
"Mbak Desy is waiting in the kitchen ndalem," said the santriwati.
"Alright, thank you Ma'am," said Desy waltzing away towards the room and preparing to go to the kitchen where Umik was waiting.
"Assalamualaikum, Umik," said Desy shortly after arriving at the kitchen door.
"Desy, get in here, kid!" tell Umik when he sees Desy standing in front of the door.
"Umik call me?" ask Desy.
"Yes, Umik needs your help preparing food for the workers in the fields, and Umik also asked for help later anterin to go there with Mama Hana." Umik says his goal is to call Desy into the kitchen.
Desy who was accustomed to helping Umik directly helped Umik cook in the kitchen, until some of the cooking menu was finished in the cook.
"Mom Hana!" call Umik.
"Yes, Umik," said Hana walking closer to Umik who was busy finishing his job wrapping food while Desy helped put food that had been wrapped in plastic bags.
"Please accompany Desy to deliver this food to the workers in the rice field. After that you and Desy can come back here again." Umik gave instructions to Hana.
"Okay, Umik," replied Hana.
"Come on, Desy!" he took over one plastic bag big enough to carry and another bag by Desy.
Desy who got Hana's invitation immediately walked following her steps towards the pesantren's rice field. All the way to the rice field looks so beautiful
The journey to the rice field feels so pleasant, the beautiful scenery is plastered real in front of the eyes so indulgent the five senses, so, plus the sound of water gurgling from the river that is usually passed by Desy when throwing garbage makes the atmosphere more beautiful. But the beauty presented again reminded Desy of the figure of Huda he had met on the river side, the rice field that he would go through the landfill where Desy had met and talked with Huda who had now left somehow to return.
"Desy!" reprimanded Hana who saw Desy no longer walking after him, she just fell silent staring at the big rock on the river bank.
"Hey, Desy!" this time Hana's voice rose an octave trying to resuscitate Desy who was seen daydreaming.
"Eh, i~iya Ma'am Hana, what's up?" sahut Desy stutters because since then he was engrossed in remembering every word and incident he had passed with Huda on the big stone.
"Let's walk! even daydreaming," Hana again admonished Desy so that he no longer melmun, because daydreaming in the pesantren area is not a good thing.
"Whoever daydreams anyway Ma'am," elak Desy.
"Not to dodge! next time don't daydream again, not good." Sahut Hana tried to remind Desy.
"Yes, Ma'am Hana," replied Desy continued the journey of stepping following Hana's steps towards the rice field that was getting closer.
"Mbak Desy, waiting for his family in the hall," said one member of Desy's room.
"Thank you for being told," said Desy standing up walking a little quickly towards the delivery hall.
"Assalamualaikum," said Desy shortly after arriving at the hall, Desy immediately kissed the backs of his parents' hands and sat between them.
"Waalaikum salam" said Desy's parents almost simultaneously.
"Where aren't you coming?" desy asked when she saw that her parents had only come together without her beloved sister.
"Your grandfather was at home, not feeling well so he did not come" replied Desy's mother.
"Oh yes, Mum tumben here now, is not the time to send me still friday ahead?" ask Desy.
"Mom's just missing out on this beautiful Mother's daughter, I also have something I want to give you." Desy's mother answered while taking a small box with a red heart out of her pants pocket.
"Mom have what?" asked Desy with a curious facial expression.
Desy's mother gave one red heart-shaped box to Desy. And opened it right in front of Desy.
"This is for you, son." Said Mother Desy.
"For Desy? why did you suddenly buy Desy a ring?" asked Desy who felt strange, because Desy was so aware of the condition of his family, the Desy family included simple families who rarely buy jewelry because their income is only enough to meet daily needs.
"Have not asked much, here is your hand! let me put it on." Desy's mother had already promised Huda not to tell him from whom the ring chose to wear it without answering the Princess' question.
"It's an expensive ring, ma'am" said Desy, staring fixedly at the diamond-encrusted white ring in the middle. Although Desy rarely buys jewelry but he still understands which rings are expensive and ordinary because Desy often choose the right ring for Umik when he wants to travel.
"Don't look at the price, son! but thankfully, remember to keep this ring no matter what!" mother Desy's message was responded with a nod by Desy.
"The ring is good, ma'am" said Desy.
"This is allotment for you this month." Desy's mother gives a brown envelope to Desy.
"Thank you Mom, Dad" said Desy, taking over the envelope in front of her.
Actually there are many questions that dwell in Desy's mind considering that the Mother never gave him money in the envelope, usually the mother will give him cash directly without an envelope.
"And in here there are some snacks and drinks that you can eat, if in this plastic bag it contains food, you can eat it with your other roommates!" said Desy's Mother.
'Cock a lot, once Mother and Father gave me this much food and the money was also in the envelope, ' Inner Desy.
Desy who never dared to fight or ask a lot of questions to her parents could only quietly harbor all the curious and strange that was in her mind without being able to express it.
"Thank you Mom, Dad, but it shouldn't have been this much with Mom and Dad coming has made me happy" Desy said, hugging the two most valuable and meritorious people in her life.
