LORD WORLD: START
CHAPTER 22: THE CITY OF THE END

Tarven was the one who stood up the first time when he heard Jirgnof's words, he yelled excessively "Are you joking, Jirgnof? The group of bandits belonging to our master that had been developed over the years, even they received a lot of support from us, but they lost with less than a day? You must be kidding, there are so many strong fighters there, even if it is only the bandit leader, he still has a rank 7 strength. I can understand that they failed to kill the prince because there were still strong guards from the king at the side of the 17th prince as a parting gift, the problem is that the outcast prince shouldn't have the strength to defeat our entire bandit group isn't it?".

Jirgnof shook his head "I received this news directly from a trusted person who lives in a town near the forest, he sent a letter using a messenger bird and there were no signs of the message being changed so that the truth could be ascertained. It seems that we underestimated this outcast prince too much, however no matter how weak the prince was, they were still princes! I'm sure the 17th prince also has his own secret army and weapons that caused our failure".

A mayor raised his hand and said fearfully "Then, what do we need to do now? As long as the 17th prince finds evidence that we have anything to do with the assault that happened to him, we are definitely sentenced to death".

Looking at the nature of his comrades, Jirgnof let out a heavy sigh. Were it not for the loyalty he had towards his master, he would have refused to cooperate with these people.

Except for him, all the other mayors were cowards who attached great importance to their own security. As for Tarven, he might not be as timid as the others, yet he was a fool who had never fought at all.

"Don't panic, even if the bandits kept some clues about their cooperation with us, the clues must not be too clear which made the 17th prince not yet able to catch us directly, either, at most he became suspicious of the Provincial administration of Atrof" said Jirgnof confidently in order to dispel everyone's fear. However, if all these people were frightened and fled, their plan to kill Myro would fail "But it would certainly target us as the ones to be eliminated! Therefore, before his power continues to expand, we will get rid of that wasted prince first".

Tarven said objection "What can we do? Even rank 7 bandits failed to kill him, even though there was an even stronger army under me, but they were all troops loyal to the kingdom, not to me. While waiting for help from my master or family, we should not do it because it will make you disappointed in us. You all must be planning to continue to improve your posts, right? If you are disappointed and withdraw your support to us, then our future office will end".

"I know" said Jirgnof with a gloomy face "Did you forget the reason the bandit group's failure was most likely due to the strong bodyguard on the prince's side being wasted? As long as no one is guarding him, do you think we still fail to kill him?".

Everyone's eyes shone hearing Jirgnof's words, even though they were mostly timid and ignorant, they still understood the meaning of the words just now.

...----------------...

Myro and his army arrived in the Late City in the morning the day after they had departed, before they had built another camp at night to sleep because the journey was still far away.

Seeing the Late City in the distance, Myro became silent as the difference was too far from the capital of the Golden Guardian Kingdom.

The capital was indeed supposed to be the biggest city in the entire kingdom so it was not strange that the Late City was far inferior to the capital, the problem of the Late City as a border city was too bad.

Around the city there is absolutely no existence of stone walls that become protectors, but only wooden walls that look fragile. It is conceivable that during the barbarian army's attack, the catu wall must have been instantly destroyed without any use in resisting the enemy's attack.

Counting the number of buildings in the city made mostly of wood and straw, Myro believes the population of the End City is at most 2000 people.

Though the City of End is still a city, but Myro felt that compared to calling it a city, this place is more suitable to be called a village.

After thinking about it a few times, it seemed like the Late City was indeed suitable as a funeral for an outcast prince like himself, he now understood why the king had given a city to him. Although the Late City was captured by barbarian forces or other kingdoms, the Golden Guardian Kingdom would not suffer any losses.

When Myro and his army arrived at the door, there was not a soldier there. Not just soldiers on guard, not even a single one was seen on the streets of the city.

Even so, there were some objects lying on the ground like balls and farming equipment that showed that there were people here before, but Myro's arrival most likely frightened them to the point of rushing to hide in. homes each.

Sighing, Myro knew that the task of developing the End City would be a difficult one. The problem is that he cannot leave this city, after all the Late City is his only territory and will be the earliest city of Myro in the future.

"Let's go ahead!", said Myro who led his knights towards the center of the city.

Along the way, Myro found several eyes staring at them from behind wooden windows or gaps in the walls of their homes.

But realizing that both Myro and his army had discovered their whereabouts, the eyes soon disappeared which proved they were truly afraid of Myro's arrival.

Ignoring all the glare around him, Myro immediately led his troops towards the center of the city - a temporary residence along with Myro's office as the ruler of the Late City.

Myro was able to find his office without any problem because among all the buildings in the Late City, there was only a house that was bound to be his office. Myro did not believe anyone in this city could afford to build a large house out of stone given the condition of the residents in this city, except for the city lord who had the support of the royal government.

When Myro was near his office, the figure of an old man wearing a brown leather armor ran over.

He has short silver-colored hair as well as black eyes that look firm. Regardless of the sweat all over him from running, he bowed before Myro "Prince Myro, I have heard of your arrival from the letter sent by the central government! My name is Kanko, the temporary mayor of the directly appointed kingdom until you arrive".
