The Spin Kingdom's

Karina and Luke are running across the border of the Spin kingdom. The vast area is filled with a lot of sand and large stones along the way, according to legend there was once a great war involving three races namely gods, demons and humans.

The war made the fertile land to be arid, no animals and plants that can survive there.

They had been running for three days from where Aron and the others were, they still needed two more days to cross the border.

The weather was very hot this afternoon, making the air around feel hot. Plus arid areas that do not have a single tree to shelter, making it not wrong if this region is known as dead land.

“Heat once.” said Karina while drinking water in the skin pouch. Karina and Luke are getting closer and they both look like a couple as they walk side by side.

“Who yesterday did not want to go through the forest.” Luke who wiped the sweat on his face, according to him if they went the other way would not experience something like this.

Because he just fell silent and did not reply to Luke's words. Karina did not choose to go through the forest because she had to turn again and took longer than the road they were on now.

“Yes, I was wrong” Karina replied a little annoyed, along the way they always clash their mouths. That's all that keeps Karina and Luke close.

Their speech was then stopped by the underground tremors and the sound of the vibrations was getting closer towards them.

“Luke, what sound is it?.” Luke did not answer Karina's question and pointed at the moving ground, not far from where they were standing. Suddenly the ground suddenly split open, as if something was walking very quickly inside the ground.

"I think we should stay away. I felt something dangerous from under” Luke invites Karina to quickly leave the place.

From the ground came a large worm that jumped up with a snake-shaped skin that protected it from the friction of the ground. Karina and Luke had not yet moved from their place, as the huge worm appeared before them and went back into the ground.

Luke was already preparing to pull the katana that was on his waist and instantly canceled his intentions after the creature appeared.

“Do you see it, Luke?.”

“Iya. I also saw it.” Luke recognizes the creature, the creature that is said to be the guardian of the dead land.The creature named the predatory worm is a creature that eats everything above the surface of the ground.

“Let's go” Luke immediately pulled Karina's hand to quickly get out of the dead land.they will definitely have trouble dealing with predatory worms that can hide in the ground.

The day began to go up the night. The two of them had already walked quite far from where they were before. Luke looked around, making sure the surroundings were safe.

“What is campfire light?” karina asked staring at a light spot not far from them.

“Looks.” Without fear they walked closer to the light it came from, seen a carriage and an old man sitting in front of a bonfire.

Realizing that Karina and Luke were approaching, the old man immediately stood with a wooden stick in his right hand.The man was seen looking at Karina and Luke with a scared face.

Receiving a reaction from the old man who was wary of them, Luke immediately greeted, “Goodnight, Sir. We were on our way back to the village. Is it okay, if we come to rest in your place?” Luke said gently showing themselves to be harmless.

“Oh, thank God you guys are not bandits.” The old man was relieved to know Luke and Karina were not bandits who would loot his belongings.

“Include, my name is Koniko.” the old man introduced himself after Karina and Luke finished introducing himself.

“Are you a swordsman?” koniko's grandfather asked after seeing two swords crossed behind Karina's waist and Katana Luke placed next to him.

Koniko's grandfather looked at Karina who removed her headscarf, Koniko did not feel afraid after seeing Karina's slightly gray-skinned face with pointed ears showing the girl in front of him was not human.

“True, we are indeed warriors who travel south. Where do you yourself come from if I can know?” Luke starts a conversation with Koniko's Grandpa.

“I am from a small village in the kingdom of Spin, a week's journey from this border.”

Koniko's grandfather replied as he took out some bread to accompany their conversation.

The next morning due to a proposal from Luke, they both ask Grandpa Koniko to take them on Grandpa Koniko's carriage out of the border.

The carriage had already started to run, Grandpa Koniko invited the two of them to come with him. Koniko's grandfather was a merchant, seen from a four-wheeled carriage carrying many items with a bamboo frame covered in cloth as a protector from the rain and heat of the sun

An uncomfortable Luke asks Grandpa Koniko to sit in the carriage and Luke drives the carriage through the arid ground.

Two days after they traveled by train without finding obstacles, they finally saw a rock cliff with a gap to get out of the dead land.

Predator worms appear to be blocking their way, Luke thinking his two-day journey is no obstacle. But unfortunately the predatory worms were already waiting for them in front of the rock cliffs.

The fight is inevitable, before Luke and Karina run up to the predatory worm, they ask Grandpa Koniko to leave them.

Koniko's grandfather agrees, not wanting to be the second burden the swordsman had with him, before leaving Luke thanks him and asks Koniko Grandpa to continue his journey.

After Koniko's carriage left without getting attacked, Luke breathed a sigh of relief. Karina has first attacked the predatory worms that look hungry. Maybe the worm had difficulty getting food in arid areas and rarely passed.

“What should we do?.” asked Luke, some of his attacks did not penetrate the worm's skin and Karina was still looking around looking for the presence of predatory worms that entered the ground.

“Luke, Beware.” Karina pushes Luke who gets a predatory worm attack from behind her.

Karina encourages Luke to avoid the mouth of a predatory worm already wide open ready to swallow it. Luke doesn't find Karina and right next to her half the ground is gone.
