Ep 63's. Village Ruler

Arthur walks to the place where Grandma said the man owns the magic drug store, the grandmother also wanted to thank Arthur for saving her granddaughter who lives in the village where Arthur protected her from monster attacks.

Arthur opened the door of the shop on which there was a board written the magic tool shop heard the voice of the grandmother with a cone hat typical of witches, the grandmother immediately recognized Arthur when she opened the door of her shop.

" Welcome hero." the grandmother smiled softly at Arthur, knowing that Arthur was very strong could not be compared to the other three heroes.

The grandmother may be Arthur's strength but he did not find the limit of the power that Arthur has, he was surprised Arthur has great soul power maybe only Arthur is the strongest in the kingdom of Asion.

" Lord hero, you have a talent in magic and a supporter huh?" the grandmother asked because the grandmother did not see the weapon that was in Arthur's body.

Arthur asked the grandmother to measure the soul power Rias had, she saw the exact same crystal ball that was in the city of Alpa when she returned to that city.

Rias placed her right hand on the crystal ball on the table, "Your lady has the soul power of light and darkness." the shopkeeper's grandmother realized Rias was not a human but a seccubus so she suggested that Rias develop illusion magic.

The grandmother took a magic book for Rias to study, she gave it to Rias but they both refused with subtle gifts from the shopkeeper's grandmother.

" It's a thank you for saving my grandson, if I could just give you this soul stone." The grandmother put the raw and red soul stone on the table.

Arthur and Rias stare at the soul stone for quite a while, Arthur had heard an explanation from Nina before he trapped Arthur by making him look like a criminal who wanted to rape him.

" Didn't you know it?." asked the shopkeeper's grandmother because Arthur and Rias were just silently staring at the soul stone before them.

"With the use of soul stones, you can increase the power of the soul inside." the shop owner's grandmother explained, Arthur and Rias seriously listened to the shop owner's grandmother's words.

"So that's it" said Arthur, he already understood the usefulness of soul stones.

The shopkeeper's grandmother told him that the kingdom ordered many soul stones for the heroes, Arthur only smiled faintly.

" Most given to heroes besides me." Arthur could guess, that the kingdom could not possibly hand out soul stones for him as well.

" Studying magic books is difficult, but you can definitely learn a lot of magic from there." the shop owner's grandmother smiled as she encouraged the two of them to try to learn magic.

Arthur receives the magic book given to him, he takes it and gives it so that Rias can learn it because Arthur doesn't need it. Arthur and Rias thank the shop owner's grandmother then they leave the store back to the village.

" Tonight we stay in the village, after we finish eating tomorrow we immediately hunt monsters to increase soul strength" said Arthur as he walked to the village.

" Good." Rias nodded with a smile.

They arrived at the inn Rias immediately lay down when she saw that the mattress in the room did not forget that she read the magic book that was given to her, she read to sleep while hugging the magic book. Arthur also slept with a different mattress, in the room there are two separate mattresses.

The two of them prepared and headed to the first floor to enjoy breakfast, Rias was no longer treated like a child. they both ordered the same food and then they searched for monsters in the forest while looking for soul stones in the bodies of the monsters they killed.

" You're growing fast huh." Arthur muttered as he looked at Rias who was practicing trying magic learned from the book.

As they entered the village, Arthur saw the villagers walking towards the middle of the village. " Why are they gathering there?" muttered Arthur while taking Rias along with him.

Arthur sees a woman standing on the village stage holding a letter from the kingdom with the troops protecting her, she is Nina the daughter of King Berdin the ruler of the kingdom of Asion.

" Having achievements in the waves of otherworldly monster attacks, then with this spear hero, master Lavin was appointed as the ruler of the village" Nina said loudly, saying, next to her stood Lavin who was smiling proudly.

Nina taxed the village in and out of the village was taxed 20 silver to accelerate the construction of the village so she imposed a tax on the residents.The residents who heard became annoyed, they have trouble finding food.

" it's crazy."

" The taxes are too high."

" We may have trouble finding food."

The residents took turns talking, they all complained that the tax given by Nina according to them was too high for those who were poor.

" Are you not willing to obey the ruler of this village?" asked Nina after hearing many of the villagers complaining.

" Of course." shouted Arthur from behind the crowd of people, all the residents who heard turned to look directly at Arthur.

" The hero is weak, so you're still here too, huh ?." Nina was a little surprised when she saw Arthur emerging from the crowd of residents.

The villagers open the road so that Arthur can pass them to Nina who is on the village stage, Arthur takes pity on the struggling villagers after a monster attack and is now forced to pay high taxes.
