Chapter 74 Laura and her New Status

All the families gathered in the living room. They look happy to be able to gather and look fun to chat together which is still shrouded in feelings. Jokes of laughter and familiarity with each other rang out in the room.

Where Laura and Johan sit together without the awkward and mismatched feeling that sometimes they laugh together. For her two twins, Jovan and Jovin sit on her grandmother's lap comfortably, Wulan also sits by her side who often pinches their puffed cheeks. While Mr. William as usual occupies his wheelchair and Mr. Teddy sits on the single sofa next to him.

"Mama's so happy to be with you. Especially my cute grandchildren" said Mrs Tias with teary eyes covered with blue and kissed her grandson's cheeks alternately.

Laura was only able to smile at their familiarity.

"We'll pass together and support each other, everything will be fine, Mama. May Papa recover quickly" Laura said with a smile while holding her hand. Every time he gets into trouble he'll remember his late mother's 'Everything will be fine' speech'. And Madam Tias nodded as she stroked the back of her hand, whereupon she strengthened each other.

Laura who heard her son's words was only able to round her eyes with a frown.

"No dear, Grandpa is not a witch." replied Laura smiling faintly. There's just this one son who considers his grandfather a witch.

"Then, why is Grandpa's face ugly and creepy, exactly in the cartoons that Jovin often watch the cast of evil" he said slowly and immediately hid his face on his mother's chest when he saw the look in his grandfather's eyes. "Jovin was afraid, Mommy" he added again and changed his position to hug his mother tightly.

Laura's hand moved stroking her back to calm her down. Johan who saw her son was only able to frown and ask for answers from Laura, while Laura just shook her head slowly that it was okay.

"Jovin, you can't say that. Do not judge a person by his face and physical appearance. Grandpa was sick to the point of affecting his face. "Yes Mama" said Laura smiling.

Madam Tias got up from her seat and moved pushing her husband's wheelchair. While Laura moves to bring her children to the room in the help of Babysister Dinda.

While Johan, Wulan and Mr. Teddy (father of Wulan ) choose to chat together about the condition of his father.

Until lunch time arrived, they regrouped at the dinner table for lunch together.

Laura was in the room with her children. While Johan was driving his Uncle and cousin to the front porch to see his departure.

"Thank you, Uncle has helped Papa. Next time Uncle has to come to my house" Johan smiled as he embraced his Uncle.

"Of course Uncle." replied Johan smiling to his mother's brother.

"When you're gonna stop chatting." Wulan's nagging poked her head that was already in the car.

"Yes, Uncle left first." he said and rushed into the car.

"Be careful on the road" Johan said as he waved his hand at his Uncle's car that had driven away from his parents' residence.

After making sure they left, Johan rushed in and walked towards his room.

Johan opened the door of his room slowly and did not forget to close it again and then stepped in. His gaze immediately fell on Laura who was lying with her children on the bed.

"You haven't slept yet" said Johan, who saw Laura open her eyes.

"Hmm, as you can see. I'm waiting for you." she smiled sweetly and was embarrassed by her own words awaiting her husband's arrival.

Johan approached the bed without glancing at his wife again, because if he continued to look at her face, it could collapse his defenses. His wife was so dazzling, while he could only hold back after a long time.

So he just took the initiative not to look at it and stopped his steps right beside the bed to see the faces of his children who were asleep.

"Sleep with the kids, I'll sleep in my study, if you need anything just go into my study. I must have been awake because I had to check some incoming emails on my phone. Mike sent me a lot of messages about work and asked me to check on him" Johan said without taking a glance at her and made Laura feel weird about being ignored.

Laura just silently remained silent on the bed while staring at the back of Johan who stepped into the dressing room. Laura chose to sit while leaning her body with a view that still leads to the dressing room until she again caught the figure of Johan who had changed his sleeping pajamas and stepped into his study.

"Why do I feel so worried. I don't even want him to ignore me. In fact, all this time I was the one who was so selfish to him." murmured Laura squeezed the tip of her sleeping pajamas with teary eyes. Her chest was so overcrowded that she had just realized it was going to her husband.

A moment Wulan's words flashed through his mind.

'I have to go home soon, Laura. Poor with my husband, he must be waiting for me. He's been working hard in a country of people and I have to go home to serve him well and satisfy his desires.'
