Chapter 58 Laura and her New Status

The car carrying Laura drove to her family's funeral. Before returning home, Laura wants to visit her Papa's grave and will tell about her first day leading her Papa company.

Just 30 minutes later, Laura arrived at her family's funeral. Laura smiled at the bouquet of flowers below as a gift for the late Papa stored neatly in the chair next to him.

Laura rushed down from the car and did not forget to bring a bouquet of flowers as usual 50-stem white roses were emblematic of the age of the late Papa who was 50 years old to have to go for eternity.

About 100 meters from the cemetery, the black sports car drove quietly following Laura's car and stopped just below the Cambodian tree that thrived around the cemetery.

His heart was a little bit tight telling his father. If time could be replayed he would want his Papa to be present to witness a very historic day in his life.

"Papa must be happy to see me, because it has replaced Papa's best position in the company. Laura promises to be an honest, fair and responsible leader and always keep your good name."

Laura wiped away the tears that suddenly reminisced in her eyes. Then Laura smiled sweetly again to show a row of queen teeth.

"Laura loves Papa very much. If Laura misses Papa, Laura will often come to visit Papa's grave" said Laura lowered her head trying to hide her sadness.

"Emm Laura go home first Papa, see you" said Laura showing off her happy smile. Laura actually still wanted to linger in her Papa's tomb, but suddenly the sky looked cloudy indicating that it would rain.

Laura got up and walked to her car. He accelerated his steps towards his car. A few more steps will arrive at his car, but Laura's legs instead stumbled on a tree branch to make him fall down.

"Awww" Laura grimaced in pain to find both knees hurt and looked bruised to bleed to the end of her dress due to tree branches.

Laura tried to stand up while grimacing in pain holding the pain in her knees to make her cry. As she was about to get up, Laura again fell down and sat on the ground. Laura chose to cry and remained silent in that quiet place. He doesn't care if the rain drenches him.

The pair of eyes that saw him were only able to notice him and did not dare to approach. The stalker was so sorry to see Laura who looked fragile, her chest was too tight to see the woman's sadness.

While Laura's tears are increasingly broken and look fragile because all this time she tried to hide her deep sadness to anyone.

"I'm sorry, I can be alone" Laura refused quickly as she put away the hand that was holding her shoulder, because she did not want to be touched by the man.

But unfortunately the balance of his body was a little shaky to almost make him fall back, fortunately with one movement the man immediately grabbed Laura's waist until their bodies stuck without any distance.

Their eyes met, but Laura immediately ended and threw away her face, because the eyes felt familiar to her.

"Please let go of your hand, Pradipta" said a slightly uneasy Laura. For some reason every contact with men he even thought of the man he hated.

"Sorry, I just want to help you" he said sincerely and immediately kept his distance from Laura.

Laura closed her eyes withstanding the pain on her knees as she stepped back to feel her body lift up.

"Hey put me down, what the fuck are you" Laura annoyed with a glaring gaze and immediately held on to Pradipta's neck.

"I can't bear to see you. Your steps are like a turtle and you can get caught in the rain like that" Pradipta said with a warm look and immediately put Laura in the car. Then followed by himself who also entered Laura's car.

A second later the rain fell rapidly making them only able to stare at the rain that began to cover his entire view through the car glass.

His head was slightly pointed at Laura, making the beautiful woman think to him.

"Hey what do you want to do" cried Laura because the rush of rain made her have to raise her voice.

"I just want to treat your wounds" he replied in a loud voice while revealing the medicine box in his hand.

"I'm sorry, can I treat your wound?" he said he apologized first before committing his wish.

Laura did not answer and Pradipta believes that silence means Laura agrees. Pradipta nervously uncovers a bit of Laura's dress until the injured Laura's knee is seen with blood already draining on her knee.

"It must have been a bit sore, so hold it for a while" he said and immediately applied a red medicine on Laura's knee. While Laura was only able to grimace in pain even the corner of her eyes water when the red medicine hit the surface of her injured skin.

"It's done" said Pradipta reprimanding Laura who was wiping her tears.

"Thank you." Laura immediately turned her eyes out of the window so as not to be caught crying.

"Wait a minute, I'm going out to get something in the car" Pradipta and Laura said.

"Use this umbrella, it's still raining" orders Laura who pulls out a black umbrella from the dashboard of her car.

Pradipta smilingly took the umbrella from Laura's hand and rushed out towards her car.

Laura was pensive to the point of not realizing Pradipta was sitting next to her.

"Take it, it's an anti-thrush remedy for you."

Pradipta offered her a cup of banana-flavored ice cream. Laura just looked at him without taking the ice cream.

"Taste banana" Laura squinted her eyes as she swallowed her saliva glancing at the ice cream.

"Yes, I just want to try banana-flavored ice cream" Pradipta smiled.

"What a coincidence, I also want to try banana-flavored ice cream and never had time to stop by the supermarket to buy it" said Laura smilingly took the cup of ice cream in Pradipta's hand and ate it immediately.

Pradipta smiled looking at the beautiful woman beside him who was enjoying his ice cream voraciously.

"Thank you for driving me home, Pradipta. Sorry to bother you, you better stop by first" Laura said unkindly to a stranger she just met. He helped her twice and drove her home.

"Either. Sorry, next time. I have to go" he resigned.

"Keep what you're wearing, while your car's still at the cemetery."

"My best friend came to pick me up. He's at the front gate."

"Oh, be careful" cried Laura looking at the increasingly distant Pradipta who was running towards the front gate.

Laura smiled as she shook her head at the departure of the stranger she had just met.

"Road" Pradipta ordered his private driver who was sitting in the passenger seat quietly. And the driver so obediently started driving his car.

Then he took off the mask on his face and put it in his jacket pocket, then contacted his confidants to bring home his car which was still at the burial place.
