"Mas, what do you want for dinner?" The voice of Citra was heard, when this afternoon Ditya just returned from service at the hospital. The woman approached Ditya, and looked at her husband who looked different this afternoon, than any other afternoon.
Ditya's face looked weary, with his eyes slightly darker than usual. It can be ascertained, Citra Lestari's husband was exhausted due to busy activities, as well as irregular sleep schedules.
"Any cook, as long as I want clear gravy, and do not cook fried-fry," replied Ditya later. The man then sat down, turning on the television in the spacious and magnificent central room.
Although the television lit up in a quiet voice, it was enough to make the focus of a young doctor again talented, fixed on the two faces that became his dream. Maya and Gavin, what are her sons and their mothers doing? Two days ago Ditya met them, and it ends today, Ditya was hit by a terrible longing.
Two days ago, Ditya met Maya, but ended in rejection, again and again. But Ditya really wanted to correct all his mistakes and sins. His intentions were good, although Ditya did not deny, his mistake was too fatal.
There are many things that make Citra herself hurt, including with the change of her husband who is no longer as warm as before. Although from the beginning Ditya said that he did not like much less love Citra, but the beginning of marriage for the last two years, Ditya never be rude to him.
For sexual affairs and inner living, Ditya meets, let alone financial living that has been struggling. It's just that since meeting Maya in the hospital a few months ago, Ditya changed drastically. Her husband was more distant, cold, and often Citra felt disappointed because of neglect.
"Mas, two days ago, where were you? Meet Maya?" ask Citra while sitting right next to Ditya.
Ditya looked to the side, lazily. If only Citra knew, he was very tired, maybe Citra would not raise Maya as a talking point.
"Yes, of course. Don't start any more arguments, Citra. I just got home and I'm tired" Ditya replied. The man sighed softly, with a breath so calm.
"Lantas, when do I have to talk, Mom? You know for yourself if you're too busy lately, and also at night, you'd rather go out if you don't sleep first. You're too busy with your business, and I can't hold back too long not to talk. I don't want to argue with you. After all just answering, is it hard?" ask Citra slowly.
"I answered, yes. I did meet Maya two days ago, with the intention of proposing to her. Anyway, there's Gavin I need to think about his future. I'm his biological father, who should not have abandoned my own flesh and blood" Ditya replied.
"So, your son is Gavin?" Citra asked, throwing a bitter smile. Ditya knows it. It's just that, Citra still looks sad.
"Yes. Gavin Elano Darma's. His last name should have been Darmadji, only he was born without a father, without me" replied Ditya.
Although it feels painful and classified as heart, but Ditya does not want to lie, cover all including about Gavin.
"Then how? Maya accepts?" ask the image again.
"She refused, kicked me out of her life, and avoided me," Ditya replied, leaning gently on the back of the sofa. The man's eyes were closed, as a result of the weight that hit his back head.
"How much do you love him?" ask Citra again, interrogate her husband, to speak honestly to him.
"If so, fight for your love, fight for your son's future. I'll be supportive. I've been thinking about everything for the last two nights, Mas. I'm willing for you to divorce, if Maya receives your proposal. The main point is, you can divorce me, only if Maya is really willing to marry you. Divorce me, and marry Maya after this," Citra said, already with great consideration.
After being able to think clearly, why does the image retain such a large lump of love for Ditya, while the man's heart, not for himself? Letting go may be the best way, for the happiness of many people, including children born on the drops of Ditya.
A line of questions like a curious high, shiny when Ditya opened his eyes, looking for the truth from the netra of his wife who looked at him gently.
Ditya knew, it should be the eyes of the image glazed, or cry as it was. It's just, Citra is too strong to hold back, not wanting to cry in front of Ditya.
"You serious? Not lying?" Ditya asked later, while straightening his back throwing jaded that perched on his gallant body.
"Yes, I won't lie to you, because you've been honest with me. I don't want you to be pressured into living in a household with me. If you find your love later, it's much better. Thank you for being honest and not wanting to hurt me later. I salute you, you're a real man. Although your honesty at the beginning hurts, but at the end of the day, there will be a sincere smile from me," Citra replied at length.
"Thank you, Citra. Thank you for being willing to sacrifice for me, and understand how I feel" said Ditya, with a small smile rising on his thinly-mined lips above.
"By the way, who does your son look like? What was his name?" ask Citra, unravel the tension that was created.
"Gavin, Gavin Elano Darma. He's handsome, like me. Look at this," said Ditya, taking the phone out of his pants pocket, and showing the screen to Citra while saying, "what's the difference between Gavin's face and mine?"
The image stared at her husband's device, with furrowed brows, staring intently at every detail of Gavin's face photographed at a distance without her son's knowledge.
The image enlarged by Ditya, remains clear if the face of Gavin is indeed so similar to Ditya.
"It makes no difference. It doesn't even take an adult to judge, whether he's your son or not. Congratulations, Mas, you have apparently been a father for a long time" Citra said.
Citra's gaze is so sincere, when saying if Gavin is similar to ditya.
"Thank you" Ditya replied.
Today, it is enough to make Ditya relieved, because there is no longer a debate between him and Citra. Thankfully, this time Ditya got the green light from Citra, for her to pursue Maya, and fight for her love.
A self-confidence that had faltered, now back upright.
