7. Family gathering

A week has passed since Leon's arrival

It doesn't feel like Thursday. During that time, Kirey was still trying to contact Sean. He tried calling Sean repeatedly so that there was at least a chance to cancel the match. However, no matter how many times he called, he never connected.

Kirey was sitting pensively in the room, her face looking uninspired. His lips even looked pale, his head felt heavy. He's uncomfortable with Leon's family this Friday night.

"It can't be if today I have to accept Leon's proposal! he's not the man I love. But, Sean had no news at all." Kirey worried.

He again began trying to contact Sean, and again the number still remains inactive, "Is Sean really not serious about his words "Kirey said to himself.

After rethinking. Kirey doesn't even know much about Sean. They never talk about themselves.

The sound of the door opening made him aware.

"Good morning, dear. Do you have to be ready for a little night?" Ask mama. He approached Kirey kissing his head, without waiting for his son to answer. Turn back out of the room.

Kirey started thinking about not prolonging the problem. Inevitably he has to deal with Leon's family. Hurry to Nadira's house.

"Later tonight I'm yah." Kirey said upon arrival in Nadira's room.

"Alright, and don't think too much." Nadira said, trying to cheer.

Kirey's chest was increasingly crowded, squeezed by feelings of worry. There was no reason for him to reject Leon.

There were at least 6 people who came that night, including Leon and his father. In the middle of them was a young girl. He's probably Kirey's age. The girl wears a long robe, a tosca blue hijab, looks graceful, "Maybe it's Leon's sister."

She squinted her eyes, trying to warn me. Until one of the women who knew his sister Pak Tama started talking.

Kirey right now just needs some quiet, that's all. He thinks getting together with his friends is the right choice.

Days change.

Kirey doesn't try to do anything either. The work is the same as a normal day. Wandering, coming home late at night, and waking up late. Until the last day, before tomorrow the Leon family returns.

"Mama has prayed the best for you, now the decision is in your hands. Wanna continue?" Mama looked at Kirey fixedly.

Kirey just nodded. He had thought for a few days, there was no good reason for him to refuse. Moreover, his mother seemed happy.

"So how's Ki?" Nadira asked from the kitchen, looking busy preparing lunch dishes.

Kirey silently did not answer. His eyes were fixed on the ring on his finger, looking to fit there.

"So's there any word from Sean?" Nadira asked while shouting. Kirey did not respond to his question.

Nadira's shout succeeded in restoring Kirey's consciousness, from awe to frowning dislike. Followed by a voice from Telix from the front of the house.

Kirey was silent. Set aside doubt. Because he was disturbed by the advice of his friends. He still wants hope, but hope remains hope.

There's been a lot of things going on, plus no word from Sean. Now it shuts down kirey's hopes. He still thinks about Sean. Makes him feel a little difficult.

Eating is the best option right now, because Kirey is a stubborn person. He does not want to hear the opinions of others.

After eating, Kirey stood up to pick up the bag he had brought. Groping inside, finding the two things he needed the most right now, namely

money and motor keys.

Kirey then took Nadira to one of the beaches to refresh. that afternoon, leaving Telix still eating.

The sea breeze under the shady tree. The right situation to calm the mind, accompanied by two dishes and two bottles of cola drinks.

The two girls were joking, laughing. People who see it must think they are two people who are happy without burden.

Nadira stood up and ran after Kirey, they played chasing each other while playing water.
