35. Checking the new house

Leon woke up with narrowed eyes due to the blinding light that suddenly hit his eyes. He saw kirey open the window, his wife then went out of the room and came back with a glass of tea.

"When are we going to occupy that new house?" kirey asked, he is currently turning on the laptop that he just bought for him yesterday.

"Come"

"Tell me clearly, I don't feel good being here for long" Kirey told a lie

Actually he was comfortable living in his in-laws' house, but he was bored in the house. Because he could only eat, and sleep, there was no other activity he could do.

"Two months left. But if you want to hurry up, I'll hire additional workers to get the construction done quickly"

"How about we go check it again?" without hearing the answer from his wife, Leon pulled Kirey's hand to follow in his footsteps.

Ten minutes later, they reached the house. The house is almost 80% finished.

The first floor house, with 3 rooms, the main room has a bathroom in it, the plan is that he will occupy the room with Leon. There are 2 rooms for their children.

Considering the child, Kirey became moody. It had been 104 days since she married Leon, which meant that 3 months and two weeks had already passed, there was no sign that she would become pregnant.

Because kirey did not answer, Leon clasped his hands toward the back of the house. They were in the kitchen, seen the workers were installing floor tiles.

"Is this our brother-in-law?" ask a boy who is about 15 years old.

"Hallo" said a father, who was sitting down drinking coffee.

"Include him my cousin, his name is Das. He helped his father work here" said Leon, introducing the boy.

"While the one who was putting up the tile was his father, he was my grandfather's younger brother's son, which means a cousin once from his father's parents" pointed leon, saying, the man whose face looks a bit like my father.

"While I am, I don't know? let's just say I'm a stranger" the man who was drinking coffee earlier, introduced himself.

"Haha, he's edo. My father's best friend and father, as well as a professional builder, he also designed our house"

"If there's anything you want to change, or you add, about anything about this house. Just tell him" said Leon, he sat next to Mr. Edo.

"What this houseworker is indeed only three people" Kirey also followed sitting beside leon.

"There were about 20 more workers. But because it has entered the finishing stage, my father decided to only hire pak edo and his father das." replied Leon.

"But maybe I'll go back to adding more workers, so that the house will be finished as quickly as you want."

He had finished installing a tile in most of the kitchen area, now their father was staring at kirey carefully.

Leon just keep quiet, do not want to remember the past, while their father and pak Edo continue to make fun of Leon.

"Our Sunday is not working, it's a national holiday" replied their father, laughing, what a funny thing he said.

"You guys here?" clara asked, he just came with two large bags of crackles"

"We haven't arrived very long, what are you carrying?" ask kirey.

"Food for the workers" replied Clara.

He opened a bag of crackles. There is rice at the top of the bushel in the middle there is a vegetable kale mix, along with a packet of sambal, while grilled fish under it.

Clara opened another crackle, there were bananas and sweet oranges along with a box of tarts.

Eka took one lemon, edo sir and their father started to draw food, after they had finished washing their hands.

Leon will take the plate, when his hand is hit by clara.

"If you want to eat, go home. This I made especially for people who work" said clara, she then stood up to Leon.

"I took it for my wife!" leon was upset.

Kirey laughed softly, seeing the behavior of the brothers, Edo sir and Eko father also laughed. Kirey shook her head, as clara looked at him asking for an explanation for leon's words.

"See, your wife says no"

"Well, you can't work together" said Leon, resuscitating his head on Kirey's limp shoulder.

"If you're hungry, we can go home now. I've had enough of a look around" Kirey stood up.

"Let him eat with us, this food is more than enough for the four of us" said their father, stopping kirey.

"That's what I mean, I just want to eat with uncle" said leon pleasure, he had mocked clara before taking the plate.

Clara and Kirey shake their heads together, and Clara wakes up, ready to go home. "Don't forget to bring the bushel home" Clara reminded.

"I'll go home with you" said kirey who was still standing, he walked in clara's footsteps after getting approval from Leon.

When he got home, he went straight to the kitchen with Clara "when did you cook for the workers, I never saw you do it?"

"When you take a nap" replied Clara.

"Tomorrow let me cook too" said kirey eagerly.

The next day kirey cooks with clara, after getting a scolding back from her sister-in-law. Clara grumbled because it was difficult to wake kirey who was asleep during the day.

Until he finished cooking, Kirey also went with clara to deliver food.

He laughed a lot in the new house, eka's father and mr. Edo turned out to be very funny people. Kirey decided that tomorrow he would return to deliver food again.
