48. Homecoming

Upon entering the house. Kirey was immediately greeted by her crying mother, she hugged him and led him to the living room where papa was.

The man, who was almost in his fifties, was sitting reading a book, with red patches on his legs wearing only knee-length shorts.

Papa stood up to help mama to sit kirey in the chair, the two old men were seen to be injured.

"Is papa sick?" kirey looked at his papa's feet.

"Papa's eczema is relapsing, probably because yesterday your mama went to the chicken breeding ground. Dust and animal dander may be the cause of the spots to appear"

"Forget it, tell me what happened?" Papa Ian sat next to Kirey.

"Women's gestational age has entered the 7th month" Kirey's pause took a deep breath. "Don't look at me like that mama, I'm also surprised to learn that the woman's gestational age is older than my marriage age"

Without wasting any more time, Leon immediately returned to his home once his affairs with the family of the tribe were over. From then on, he kept worrying about kirey.

The family persuaded him to stay for a while, but he wanted to see his wife as soon as possible. Only her father and clara are still in the family home.

Leon did not respond to his two best friends, he rushed to his room. Opening the closet, he saw that some of the kirey's clothes were gone. Without checking for longer, Leon thought about going straight to his in-laws' house.

Jem showed at 1pm, leon knocked on the door hesitantly. He thought maybe the person in his house-in-law was already sleeping, but when he was about to leave, the door opened displaying tris.

His sister-in-law looked at him briefly from top to bottom, then without saying anything tris went to leave him at the door alone.

In view of the tris response, it looks like the person in this house already knows the incident that happened. But Leon did not want to think about it first, he just wanted to meet with kirey.

His wife was asleep. Leon drew closer to the bed, his hands wrapped around Kirey's waist. The intention is tonight Leon will sleep here, tomorrow he will talk to kirey because he does not want to disturb his wife.

But the voice of papa ian made his eyes that had been closed, opened perfectly. Her in-laws were chatting with tris outside the room, tris was reporting about her arrival.

Not wanting to make a fuss, Leon chose to get out of bed to meet his in-laws. He will try to explain the situation.

"You better go back to your house" said papa ian firmly, sounding like he did not want to be denied.

Leon stayed in his place did not want to move until he was dragged papa ian out to the front of the house.

"Come tomorrow with all my son's clothes in your closet"

"Why indeed?" Leon's reaction was shocked.

"If you do love my son, let him be here until things get better."

"Until when?"

"It depends on how you behave. It can be a week, a month or even a year. Our family is not as rich as your family, so we can't sue you because you married another woman"

"If I have power like your father, I make sure today you are not here but in prison on charges of adultery article 284 of the Criminal Code." pauses papa ian.

"It hasn't even been a month since kirey miscarried, and you've married another woman. Worse yet you have absolutely no intention of telling us his parents about this matter" snapped papa ian, his voice rising an octave higher.

"But I didn't remarry, we just did sign a marriage license without a pen" leon's great-grandson defended herself.

Papa ian gave a second punch "And this is because it made my daughter cry." Papa ian took a step back to see Leon sitting down while enduring the pain.

"You impregnated another woman. But the point is not that, you make my son sad. It's not that I've made it clear that I'm so indulgent with my daughter, but you're making her suffer with your immoral deeds."

"Come home, tomorrow will come again. Tomorrow papa will decide how it goes, tonight papa's emotions can not be controlled. So you should go home before you get worse" after saying that, papa ian went straight into the room.

While Leon was still grimacing, he held onto his stomach which still hurt. Actually he wanted to refute the speech of papa ian but he knew if it would only further complicate the situation.

Finally he decided to go home. Leon came out just like that, he could see tris in the corner of the house. It seemed like her sister-in-law had been paying attention to the debate between her and her father-in-law.
