40. Depressions

Kirey worked her eyes repeatedly, she woke up looking around the room. "Thank God you're sober" Leon hugged her.

Apparently he was in the hospital, Kirey then remembered the last incident in his nature.

"Where's my son Leon?" kirey asked frantically as she felt her stomach and found that it was flat.

Leon did not answer anything only strengthened his embrace.

"No-no" Kirey tried to escape from Leon's embrace, he flailed her husband's arm and began to cry hysterically.

Two days later Kirey was allowed to go home. Since finding out if she miscarried, Kirey became very quiet, she did not talk to anyone.

"I want to go home to my parents" Kirey said suddenly as they were on their way home.

Leon seemed to want to argue, but urgently because the father is holding his hand, he saw the father shaking his head.

Leon breathed a sigh of resignation, because kirey was only silent at last his whole family also acted gloomy. He had to turn the car back to his father-in-law's house.

Kirey immediately got out of the car as soon as he arrived, he didn't want anyone to follow him and Leon and the family could only agree.

Tock-a-tock

"Are you okay?" mama asked as soon as she opened the door and saw the arrival of her daughter who looked pale.

Kirey who had long refrained from crying, finally gave up too when she heard her mother's question.

The clear thread, began to drip one by one before finally he cried so badly. He was not okay, then kirey approached and immediately hugged the body of mama ike, looking for calm there.

Mama ike who does not understand anything, can only pat her back gently trying to calm her.

"Let's go in first" said mama while guiding the path of kirey who was still in his mother's arms.

Kirey was sitting pensively on the bed in her room, she was already a little silent but her tears still occasionally dripped.

Mama ike came in with a glass of water, helped kirey drink and then sat down next to her. Mama just kept quiet, didn't ask anything because she waited for Kirey to tell her own story.

Until a few minutes later, Kirey raised her gaze to look at her mother with a sad look. Then deciding to recount the incident in which she miscarried, Kirey returned manic.

Mama stared at Kirey's flat stomach, soared in shock and then burst into tears. From earlier, my mother did not pay attention, because it was more focused on her son's cries.

"Let's calm there's mama here" said mama ike, then told kirey to rest.

Kirey then tried to close her eyes, but she immediately reopened her eyes as soon as she heard her bedroom door close.

Kirey stared at the sky with a blank look, she cried again, her tears as if she did not want to dry up until she fell asleep by herself.

When he woke up, his room was dark and he looked out the window that was still open, it was already night.

Kirey got up and closed the window, turned on the lights, and sat in the front seat of the dresser confused by what to do.

Kirey woke up from her daydream when the door opened, and she came with a plate of rice and a glass of milk.

"Eat first" said Mama after putting the food she brought on the bedside table.

"Why didn't Mom wake me?" ask kirey

Because usually his mother would nag if he took a nap until the afternoon, but now he even woke up overnight without anyone waking up.

"You think you're tired" replied Mama

Mama then took the food plate, pulled Kirey's hand to sit with her on the floor and then fed kirey.

Kirey initially refused, he felt no taste for food, but because his mother continued to force him to finally obey.

Seeing the arrival of her husband, Kirey threw her face staring in another direction.he did not want to see the face of leon.while the mother immediately left kirey and leon when she saw kirey spent the milk that her mother had brought.

"Talk to me" said Leon in a soft voice like a frustrated person, leon speaking while still standing at the door

Seeing Kirey who did not answer anything, Leon decided to walk closer to kirey and sat on the floor opposite his wife.

A while passed they were still silent to each other, leon was also actually confused as to where to start the conversation.

Leon knew clearly if kirey was down, he did not want his words even add to the slump of his wife.

"Come home with me" said Leon at last.

Kirey was still silent as she played the edge of her shirt.

"We can have another child later, don't.."

"You can talk like that because you're not the one who's going through it" Kirey interrupted quickly before Leon could finish his speech.

"How can you speak so, you are my wife and the lost is my son" Leon's eyes exuded sorrow.

"But we can't bring back something that's been lost" Leon said, sounding desperate.

"This is all because of my mistake, because I am not good at taking care of ourselves so that we can not take care of our children" said Kirey again crying, actually kirey is very self-blame for his carelessness.

"I also know if I can't return what's gone"

"But I hope you understand, if what happened I can't forget let alone accept it so easily."

"So let me stay at my parents' house for a while" Kirey broke up.

Leon finally can only obey kirey's wishes.

A week after Kirey came to his parents' house, Leon came almost every night to see his wife. Leon tries to comfort kirey's heart, but instead of improving kirey instead looks more moody.

Said mama ike, kirey often cried suddenly or laughed without cause.ever once also mama saw kirey was talking alone while stroking his stomach.

It gets worse when Kirey starts talking to his play dolls himself, so Leon is forced to take kirey to a psychiatrist.

"There are many ways to keep your wife's stress from getting worse, or causing other health problems. For example your wife can do sports, or meditation."

"But I recommend that he can do activities that are pleasing to his heart, so that he does not focus too much on things that can make him depressed" said the doctor.

After returning from a psychiatrist. Leon has tried various things that kirey likes, ranging from martabak, cooking together and even gathering with his friends kirey.

Kirey did not give a meaningful response.

"Do you like the island?" leon asked, he was sitting with his wife in the backyard of his in-laws.

Kirey just nodded his head, his gaze straight ahead.

"What if this week we go there, just the two of us" Leon bargained.

Kirey turned towards Leon, he remained silent for a while as if he was thinking.
