Nodding his head, Shun Long clasped his hands after thanking the old man, before he and Liu Mei walked towards the big bulletin behind.

After the D-rank and C-rank missions, Shun Long noticed that most of them were working for pay to act as guards, or trade unions to escort them safely outside the town of Silver, in the city of Perak, while the rewards ranged, from 100-300 spirit stones to D-payments, while C-rank missions mostly ranged from 500-800 spirit stones.

Of course, there were also paid missions to kill magical beasts, or find rank 3 medicinal herbs as well, but these were usually more time-consuming.

looking at the young man next to her, Liu Mei asked curiously

''Do you want to run a mission?''

Shun Long stared as he smiled with a smile, and held his hand in reply

'' Let's find a place to stay for now. I still have to enter seclusion and increase my strength. After that, we can see if there is a good mission.''

''Hmm.''

Liu Mei nodded as the two of them left the Paid Army Association. 

A few hours later, Shun Long and Liu Mei were still touring the southern part of the city, when they saw a large inn within range.

A large signboard with the inscription 'King's Page' was hung above the inn gate.

After passing through the inn gate, Shun Long and Liu Mei saw a middle-aged man in white robes, walking towards them.

The man had brown hair and dark green eyes, which were accentuated by his sword-like brows. Its eagle-shaped nose with a body as high as 1.9 m (6.2 ft), gives a feeling of storytelling to those around it.

Standing in front of the black panther beetle, the man only gasped once, before he turned to look at Shun Long and said with an emotionless expression on his face.

''Welcome to the King's courtyard. I am the innkeeper Deng Zixin.

If you want to rent a single room, magical beasts are not allowed in our inn. If you want to rent a page, then you are allowed to go inside.''

Shun Long leaked out the middle-aged man before he said

''Then, we will rent the page.''

The brown-haired middle-aged man seemed to let out a sigh of relief as he said

''Very well. A small courtyard cost 200 spirit stones a month, which was medium-sized to 300 spirit stones, while a large one cost 400 spirit stones a month.''

''We will be renting a medium-sized one, for the next 6 months.''

The middle-aged innkeeper, happily received the spirit stones, before leading Shun Long and Liu Mei towards the relatively large courtyard. 

After cupping his hands, the man then left, let Shun Long and Liu Mei look at the courtyard.

There is a large main room, more than 200 square meters in width, and 2 guest rooms each measuring 100 square meters.

Each room is furnished with luxury, with large sized beds, sofas, tables, and many other decorations.

Looking at Shun Long who had paid almost 2,000 spirit stones for the courtyard, as well as 200 earlier for their food, a warm feeling spread in Liu Mei's heart, and the feeling of warmth spread in Liu Mei's heart, before taking out 2,000 spirit stones from his spatial ring and putting them into Shun. Long's hand as he said in a soft voice

His voice became weak, sounding almost like a whisper, as he asked

His black eyes seemed to have lost some of their sparkle, as he revealed the young man had lost them.

Shun Long looked at him as he said

Seeing the sad expression in Liu Mei's eyes, Shun Long took a deep breath, before saying 2 simple sentences.

''Come with me! I want you to be my woman.''
