JUST A CRASH - BUTTERFLY CROSSING

JUST A CRASH - BUTTERFLY CROSSING
6. I'm The Bee, The Other Cockroach.

Shuji wondered why he was so busy with his neighbors.

After his time of interest with the culinary world diminished, his mind ran back to Orange.

Thinking about how stupid that woman was, ugly, flabby, and so on.

To think why could there be an opposite sex who would be willing to chat with him?

If Shuji, himself—ya of course reasonable.

He thought the two were suited to each other. Matching people are natural, right, when gathered together.

- Maybe you like him.

A whisper of misguidedness flashed through his head.

“Otakmu.” Shuji cursed his own thoughts. She's she? Like the Orang-orange? That chick?

“Hahaha!!” Shuji laughed dryly, then stopped for a moment.

Does he like that girl? He, the one who is always invited to date all kinds of people, is most popular during school, and the dream guy in his department during work, likes someone??

“Why can?” Shuji tilted his head, thinking of the reason by imagining the figure of an orange. “She's short, not sexy, maybe her face is a little sweet. Yes, little.” Shuji clenched his hand.

“From all the sweet women I met, she was ordinary.” Shuji. “But why do I keep thinking about him, and get angry when he gets close to other men?”

Shuji pulled out a chair, arranged it on the side of the window and sat down. Jump to the view of the park below which is usually a destination for people when relaxing in the morning and afternoon. He glanced at the clock on the wall, second by second until the long needle moved to the number ten.

Shuji counted in his heart, capturing the female figure from the direction of the road. The figure is not special, it only looks in a row from his apartment. Until the figure disappeared into the building Shuji was aware of what he was doing.

*Why did I watch him come home? Of course I'm just curious. *Shuji asked and answered himself.

“...” All right, he admitted he probably liked the girl. His reason? No need to think deeply.

When she was dating in High School, at most her relationship lasted three months. While during work, he never had a serious relationship, at most one night.

Of course, this one won't be long.

It's just that Shuji can't go after someone.

Try if that woman is after me, Shuji muttered.

It would be nice if it happened, he did not have to wait and they could go straight to the courtship. After three months—let's say—she's lost interest, they can split up and Shuji doesn't have to worry about this feeling anymore. Then he can move on!

But even though he was frustrated, there was no way he would come to the woman and ask—‘why don't you come after me! Love me!’

He's not that crazy yet.

“For now, I enjoy it. Later too long I am bored and no longer like him.?” Shuji offered himself a reason. Too bad he himself wasn't sure.

After his anxiety was gone, Shuji went straight into action. He went to the camp store to buy binocular binoculars that afternoon. He checked the distance and made sure that the image could be clearly seen from his apartment.

Shuji begins the activity without knowing his obsession develops from there.

**

Five days a week, two days off on the weekend. His work schedule is morning, noon, and night, each alternating in a month each week. The orange always wears a long-sleeved plain shirt every time it leaves and comes home from work. Sometimes leave in a plain black shirt, go home with a plain red shirt. The point is, not necessarily.

Usually people who work without uniforms, go to work in casual clothes; but not not as stylish as the Orange does.

Shuji guessed that the plain shirt was part of his uniform. So why when coming home from work often the shirt is changed even though it is still plain?

There are not many jobs that accept foreign workers, except professional workers in large companies. But Shuji never once saw an orange wearing a jas— for example.

He crossed out several possibilities and marked two areas: services and parenting.

Services such as cleaning, could he go to work with plain clothes and dirty, because it must be changed when he came home? But getting dirty with such work is common. Construction people also walk around in dirty dusty clothes.

What about the field of parenting?

Two areas of parenting: daycare and nursing home.

Daycare needs certified personnel and mostly only hires local people, so Shuji dumps that option.

All that's left is a nanny in a nursing home. If the uniform is dirty such as pessing or dirt, it certainly must be replaced because otherwise, it will cause an unpleasant smell when returning home using public facilities. It can also be used as a reason why no special uniforms are provided.

The nearest Pantijompo in the N region is about 3-4 kilometers away and takes about 10 minutes by bus.

One time Orange came home wearing a jacket with the name of the Roujin agency behind it, which is the name of the nursing home. That confirmed Shuji.

“So the caregiver and care for the elderly, it really fits his personality.” Soft and loving. Shuji nodded imagining it.

A month of observing and watching the orange, Shuji memorized the woman's out-of-head schedule. He also has a new habit to accelerate his boredom. By meeting more often.

Only one good observation so far, Shuji had never seen again the interaction of the Orange with a foreign man before.

At two in the afternoon, Shuji got ready to go out. In the mirror near the entrance she tidied her hair and sprayed a little fragrance oil. He did not come out, but waited for a while until the sound of the door being opened and closed. Today he will come later—not long, just five minutes.

Five minutes later, Shuji came out of his apartment carrying a shopping bag.

He calmly went down the elevator and went to the supermarket. Although his gaze was indifferent, the corner of his eyes was always looking for a scarred figure.

It was easy to find an orange because she was the only one wearing a scarf on her head.

Shuji moves into the dairy section and chooses the unsalted yogurt. While pretending to check the materials, the awaited figure finally appeared.

“Hai, shopping for dinner?”

With far-fetched shock, Shuji turned his head. “Ah, you too?”

“Yup.”

The two often met because they lived in one apartment and were neighbors. It is natural to meet. At first Orange was astonished because almost every time he was shopping, he met Shuji. But it is an innate nature that makes him always think positive. Orange considers that this is part of Shuji— shopping activities. Their meeting was just a regular routine.

He doesn't realize that this is all Shuji designed.

These two weeks they often exchange chats every meet, Shuji no longer be cynical to her—of course Jingga happy.

“What do you want to cook?”Orange glances at Shuji's basket.

“Ah.” Shuji showed me the contents of his basket, “I want to make curry.”

“Ooh~” Orange nodded and decided to look for other ingredients after taking milk.

“I first, yes.”

Shuji nodded still with a neutral face and stayed in place for a few minutes to ease the flowering feeling in his heart before moving to the snack section.

Seeing the figure he was looking for about to move to the cashier, Shuji took the origin of the pastry in the nearby ranks and stepped stably to another cashier.

A few minutes later he finished, Shuji saw Jingga stop by for a while at the barn. As soon as the yam was received, Shuji was close.

Because their directions were the same, the two walked together. Again.

“You've tried this grilled yam?” Orange opens the chat and Shuji chimes in happily. Although his face was still flat, Shuji tried to connect the chat until the two took the elevator and reached the top.

Oranges to go first to the apartment. In a slow motion, Shuji turned the key until the person next to him entered.

Cklek.

He's sitting by the shoe rack. No sound was heard from the apartment next door because the silencer was good. Shuji could only imagine an orange moving from the living room to the kitchen.

That made Shuji feel like they were doing side-by-side activities.

With a faint cheerful Shuji moved into the kitchen and prepared to cook his curry.

---

“Should I do it?”

An hour later Shuji finished cooking, in front of him sat two bowls of curry.

Already a few weeks they started to establish a reasonable relationship ‘between neighbor’. Shuji thinks it's time he shared a dish to the next apartment, right?

Unexpectedly, the bell rang. Shuji could not think of anyone who visited him other than the Orange.

Holding back the enthusiasm, Shuji smelled the scent of his shirt and half ran into the room. The t-shirt was thrown off just about anything and he pulled a new t-shirt from the closet before moving to the entrance. He styled his hair and took a breath, before opening the door.

“Ya?”

The orange in front of him stood up wearing an apron, making Shuji a bit dumbstruck. Very sweet.

Suddenly in front of his face was thrust a plate of fried food.

Shuji who regained consciousness immediately accepted.

“I make more and love it if not kemakan.” The word orange slowly. Seeing the bland reaction from Shuji, the woman was instantly anxious.

“Could you not be able to eat fried food? I'm sorry.” His hand was about to take back the plate, but Shuji immediately dodged it.

“It just so happens that I feel an unusual hunger today.” What are you talking about, Oda Shuji? Shuji scolded himself with that lousy excuse.

Recalling with his two carafe bowls in the kitchen, Shuji probed subtly. “….You like curry?”

“Huh? Oh, I don't know anyway, I've never eaten curry here.”

Shuji pulled next to his eyebrows, surprised.

“...Why?” Curry is the most common menu. On the one hand, this makes Shuji happy because his homemade curry could be the first curry that Orange tasted.

“Food here is not all I can consume.” Hearing Jingga's reply, Shuji was stunned.

“Even curry though? Are you allergic?”

“Engga, not so.. Hm. There are some ingredients that I should not eat, and most of the dishes here contain that ingredient.” Orange scratched the plan of her hood. “I sometimes receive food from my coworkers, but because I can't eat it, sometimes I give it to someone else.

The two were silent for a moment, receiving no reply from Shuji, Orange smiled sadly. “You think I'm evil by throwing it away and..?”

“Of course not.” Shuji nodded. He did not know what food was forbidden, but refusing to give someone let alone food was common. Nor will he accept gifts from strangers. Even if the food was from his acquaintance, he would not eat it raw before examining it.

But refusing to continue in social life is uncomfortable as well, Shuji understood that.

“You have a reason not to eat it. And accept it, all you do is appreciate them. I understand you did just that for fear of hurting their feelings.” Shuji. “But I suggest you tell them slowly that there is something you should not eat.” Shuji frowned softly. If accidentally who gave the food saw Orange throw it away, it would be troublesome.

If only he had worked in the same place as Orange, he could have helped. Socialization is his skill.

Hearing Shuji's explanation, a faint smile appeared on Orange's face.

“I understand. I'm a bit shy and it's hard to open up. But I can tell my close friend.”

Seeing that smile, Shuji could not reply and simply nodded stiffly.

“Then I go first, yes. Good evening dinner.” Orange waved her hand and returned to her apartment.

Shuji closes the door of his apartment while biting on a piece of fried food. As he moved into the kitchen, he realized that he had forgotten to ask what special ingredients Orange was avoiding.

Thinking that he was cooking contained things that Orange should not eat, he felt that the two bowls were interfering with his eyesight just by sitting quietly at the kitchen counter.

A few seconds later, his stomach rang. With a heavy heart Shuji brought the two bowls to the dining table.

Didn't Orange give him fried food because it cooks too much? From here it looks like an orange person who does not like to throw food.

Shuji intends to spend his work.

While waiting for the clock to move to five in the afternoon, Shuji ate and washed the dishes.

Approaching the waiting time, he moved to the window. Sitting in his chair with a binocular clad around his neck. In the hallway outside, there was a faint sound of the door being opened and closed. Moments later, the figure he was waiting for was seen walking out of the building, passing through the park towards the stop. After the figure disappeared, Shuji accidentally found a human figure standing in the yam booth.

The man did not look to buy anything and left.

Shuji did not think deeply about the incident and went to set an alarm at three in the morning before turning on his computer and starting work.

**

At three in the morning, the alarm went off. Shuji opened his eyes slowly and was silent for a while before waking up. While passing to the bathroom, the alarm is turned off.

Waiting for three o'clock and half an hour, Shuji stood in front of the window while lifting the barbell.

Finished counting, he put up his binocular and noticed a small figure walking home from the stop towards the apartment.

“?”

Shuji frowned as he looked at the figure standing on the drink machine on the side of the road.

That outfit, those pants, her size…

Shuji did not think deeply, but it was the figure he had just caught in the afternoon. If you look at it more than once, yes, he remembers.

Could it be just a coincidence?

Shuji hurried to bring his camera and zoomed as close as possible to take the figure, and captured the picture.

“!”

The image was locked just as the man glanced towards the entrance of the apartment building.

Shuji squinted his eyes, thinking of an orange walking alone when he came home from work. Suddenly he was agitated. I don't think he can be quiet.

Shuji walked quickly to the entrance, pressed his ears until he heard the sound of the door opening and closing from the next apartment, and he breathed a sigh of relief.

Shuji's sleepiness that was still haunting disappeared instantly. When he returned to the window, the man's figure had already disappeared but it did not lower Shuji's suspicions. He opened up the memory of his camera and paired it to the computer to compress the resolution of the image to make it clearer.

This gloomy style, Shuji was sure seventy percent was no coincidence.

Tomorrow Sweet is still the night shift. Shuji felt he had to sharpen his surveillance.

**

The next day, Shuji leaves for dinner shopping much later than usual. Once shopping, Orange will prepare for a two-day meal, so Shuji will not meet his neighbors at the supermarket today.

Shuji changed his shopping schedule to five o'clock. As soon as he finished shopping, Orange was standing in front of the booth.

Before approaching, Shuji watched the surroundings and his expression worsened upon seeing the figure he had captured yesterday on camera, standing a few meters away from the position of Orange. So close.

The fat man was still wearing the same clothes since yesterday, a few passers-by stayed away from him.

*How many days has the person not taken a shower? Dare to breathe in the same space as Sweet. *Shuji absorbs in the heart.

Through the man's long bangs, Shuji knew the man was watching.

Shuji walked over. Stand on the side of the orange.

Feeling someone standing so close to him, Orange felt alert. But when he saw Shuji's figure, he was immediately relieved.

She still hasn't forgotten Shuji's words that humans and animals won't fall in love with each other. The point is, Shuji is not interested in her, and Jingga feels safe despite interacting this close to Shuji.

“You want to buy too?”

“Mau one.” Shuji did not answer Jingga's question and said to the seller.

From the corner of his eye, he saw the suspicious man moving like a worm, agitated on the spot. In Shuji's heart grinned.

The seller had already prepared several yams, so the roasted yams of Shuji and Orange were finished together.

The orange walks towards the stop with a paper bag containing the yam.

He walks, and finds that Shuji is following him. But he didn't want to get the wrong idea anymore, so Jingga just glanced at Shuji. His eyes showed confusion. Unfortunately the man next to her did not care. His face was straight forward, and if noticed, somehow Shuji looked a little terrible….

Although it was still expressionless, its aura was different from its usual casual aura.

While Jingga is confused and waiting for the bus to arrive, she notices Shuji moving to the notice board where the bus route is written.

Until the bus that Orange was waiting for came, the man did not turn his head in the least other than replying to the greeting of Orange when he said goodbye first.

“Could he want to go for a walk?” muttered Orange recalled Shuji's figure checking the bus lines.

Passing the red light, the bus turned and Shuji stopped staring at the notice board.

Too bad he couldn't focus because he thought about the suspicious person. When will he be able to take Jingga to work? Disappointed she walked home to her apartment.

He glanced at the streets and around the booth. People passed by, but the suspicious figure had already disappeared.

“Can't keep this up.” Shuji exhaled. That figure would be a threat. What if Shuji isn't around and the guy shows up around the Orange?

Imagining it makes Shuji's eyes light up.

“Yang name cockroaches certainly must be eradicated.” Shuji squinted his eyes while thinking what he could do.
