Story 2: Kuchisake-onna

In a small Japanese town surrounded by a mysterious forest, there is a very scary legend about Kuchisake-onna, a woman with a split mouth. That said, he is a bloodthirsty spirit, lurking in the dark nights to find his victims.

The story begins when a schoolteacher, Kyoko, comes home late from her job on a cloudy night. He walked through a small, deserted passageway between his home and school, when suddenly, he felt like someone was stalking him. The gentle steps followed his steps, and the sound of wind rustling echoed in his ears.

Kyoko starts to feel uncomfortable and speeds up her steps. But when he looked back, he saw a woman with a red coat waving behind him. His body was tightly closed, except for his split mouth.

Scared and confused, Kyoko tries to avoid the woman and quickens her pace. However, the woman quickly gave chase, and when she stopped before him, she spoke in a soft voice.

"Am I pretty?"

Kyoko feels trapped and doesn't know what to answer. The woman repeated her question in a sharper tone.

"Am I pretty?!"

Kyoko, in confusion and fear, replied hesitantly, "Yes.you are beautiful."

But that answer is a big mistake. Without another word, the woman opened her coat, and what appeared beneath her made Kyoko feel speechless in an overwhelming fear. The woman's mouth split open, from her ears to her throat, forming an extremely terrifying smile.

"Am I still pretty?" The woman said in a sharp tone.

Kyoko can only scream as the woman approaches her quickly, a sharp scissor in her right hand. Kyoko tries to escape, but she falls on the ground, and the woman swings her scissors fiercely.

Kyoko's tragic death made headlines in the small town. Surprised villagers gathered to talk about the incident, and the legend of Kuchisake-onna became a heated talk. Many are beginning to feel that this legend is not just a scare story, but a terrible reality.

A paranormal investigator, Hiroshi, hears news of Kyoko's death and decides to come to the small town to investigate the truth behind the legend of Kuchisake-onna. He was a skeptic, but also wanted to find out what was really going on.

Hiroshi begins to listen to citizen stories of Kuchisake-onna sightings that are increasingly happening around the city. Some people even claim that they have seen the woman in the middle of a mysterious forest.

One night, Hiroshi decides to explore the forest alone. He carries his most advanced paranormal equipment, including an infrared camera and a voice recording device. With a thumping heart, he entered the dark forest.

As he walked through the silent forest, he felt that someone was watching him. The light steps and the whirring of the wind made him even more agitated. And when he saw something moving behind the trees, he knew that he was not alone.

Suddenly, from the darkness of the forest appeared an extremely terrifying figure. The woman was wearing a red coat, and her long hair was unraveling with the night breeze. But the most frightening thing was his terrifying split smile.

Hiroshi tried to face his fears and spoke to the woman. "Who are you? What do you want?"

The woman simply looked at him with her empty eyes and her mouth split open, without answering. He began to approach Hiroshi with slow steps, and the atmosphere grew increasingly gripping.

Hiroshi attempted to take a picture of the woman with his infrared camera, but when the light touched her, the woman seemed to disappear, leaving only a shadow behind her.

But Hiroshi's relief did not last long. As he turned around to continue exploring the forest, he heard the sound of light footsteps approaching from behind. He felt a cold breath on his neck and fear crept all over his body.

As he turned around, he saw Kuchisake-onna standing in front of him, her terrible split smile gaping wide. Hiroshi knew that he would not be able to escape this time.
