Story 6: Futakuchi - Onna

In a remote Japanese village, there is a terrifying legend about a mysterious woman known as Futakuchi-Onna, or "Woman with a Mouth Behind the Head." This legend has haunted the villagers for centuries.

It is said that Futakuchi-Onna used to be a beautiful woman who lived in the village. However, he was a very stingy and greedy man, always holding food for himself and keeping it a secret from the others.

One night, when the full moon was shining brightly, strange noises came from his house. The villagers heard the sound of food being eaten and the graves. They thought he was having a party, but when they approached his house, they found something terrible.

Futakuchi-Onna sat in the middle of the room, long hair covering her pale face. But the most frightening thing was what was hidden behind his head. There, at the back of his head, grew a second large mouth, filled with sharp teeth. The mouth looked hungry and greedy, chewing on the food he had hidden from the others.

The villagers learn the terrible secret of Futakuchi-Onna. The mouth behind his head appeared as a curse as a result of his incomparable greed. He must continue to feed that mouth with food, or it will gnaw itself.

Thus begins the Futakuchi-Onna curse, which must live in agony forever. Although he continued to feed his starving mouth, he also had to face the cries and shouts that came out of that horrible mouth every time he did.

When the villagers learn of Futakuchi-Onna's horrifying secret, fear haunts them. They felt that the woman's curse could have been transmitted to anyone who dared to approach her. Therefore, they isolated Futakuchi-Onna in her secluded home and provided food on her doorstep without daring to speak to her.

Futakuchi-Onna is forced to live a very lonely life. He felt pain and humiliation because of his curse. Every day, she had to take care of two hungry mouths, feeding food to the newly grown mouth behind her head, while the mouth in front of her face continued to cover her worldview.

However, there was one thing that always haunted him. Every time he tried to eat, the mouth behind his head let out a sinister sound, like a hungry and angry scream. The mouth threatened to tear him apart if he did not give him enough food. Futakuchi-Onna feels caught up in this curse, haunted by the fear of endless greed a terrible mouth behind her head.

Meanwhile, the villagers keep watching from a distance, fearing that Futakuchi-Onna might come out and look for food in a more gruesome way. They felt pity for the fate of the woman, but the fear of the curse was greater.

The legend of Futakuchi-Onna is a cautionary tale about the negative impact of greed and stinginess. For those living in greed, a curse like this might just be a natural result of their behavior. Today, Futakuchi-Onna is forced to live in an endless curse, imprisoned by an insatiable hunger craze.
