Ten minutes passed. Zafira had finished drying her hair. He walked to the bathroom and dried the wet towel there.
Zafira closed the bathroom door and stepped onto the bed. He sat on the side of the bed opposite Fariz. Fariz sat on the right side, and he sat on the left side of the bed. Opposite each other. Fariz, who had not let go of Zafira's gaze, was relieved to see his wife shaking her body at the side of the bed.
Seeing that Zafira had been sitting on the bed, without waiting any longer, Fariz immediately moved from sitting down to approach his wife. Walk around the edge of the bed and sit on the edge of the bed, right next to Zafira. The distance between the two was only half a meter.
Fariz looked at the pretty face with that wet hair. Look at it every inch and continue to marvel in the heart at how beautiful the creation of the Creator is.
"You're so beautiful" Fariz accidentally threw a compliment. His heart was too astonished to see the worldly beauty before him, so the praise just popped out of his mouth, making Zafira look up at the man next to her.
They looked. Fariz welcomed Zafira's eyes without wanting to take her eyes off the girl's. His heart trembled again as his two beads clashed with his wife's eyes. After looking at her for a few minutes, Zafira finally threw her eyes towards the makeup glass with her face bent.
"This time I saw clearly your face after the shower. It turns out that you are still beautiful even though there is no lipstick or powder on your face. I feel like a dream, to be in a room with you," said the husband very honestly, expressing his heart.
Zafira kept staring at the vanity glass without looking away from it. Only her ears kept wide open listening to the words spoken by her husband.
Silent mood. Zafira remained silent. She had no intention of making a sound to serve the conversation with the husband. Besides his body was tired, his heart was still not improving over all the incidents that occurred all day. So that makes it lazy to make a sound and prefer to lock the mouth tightly.
"Are you tired?," the man asked after seeing Zafira kept silent.
"Yes I'm tired. I want to sleep now," the girl said quietly, inching to get on the bed but Fariz quickly held Zafira's hand, making a movement the girl was stifled and suddenly looked at Fariz with a feeling of surprise.
Highlighting his eyes as if asking, why did Fariz resist his urge to go to sleep immediately?
The girl became afraid. Afraid if the husband asks for rights and forces to serve his desires, while let alone to serve him, the thought of kissing the husband is not yet imagined in his mind.
In addition to that fear, actually the girl deliberately accelerated the sleep schedule because she wanted to immediately rest her body and heart that felt very tired. He didn't want Fariz to talk too much, because it would only make his mood worse. Until tonight, his feelings are still not calm. Sad, angry, disappointed, hurt mixed into one in his heart. He was afraid that later the two were involved in the conversation, it would trigger a dispute on the wedding night. He didn't want that until it happened.
"Why do you want to sleep so fast? Are you uncomfortable in this room with me?,"
Zafira did not answer. Only his hand moved slowly, taking off Fariz's grip.
"Please answer my question," Fariz asked back
"There's nothing I need to answer," Zafira's facial expression showed more stiffness.
"Why don't you want to answer my question? Are you mad at me for our sudden marriage? Since the wedding procession, the reception, until tonight, you kept me quiet? Your attitude was suddenly cold and ignored me. What wrong? Do you hate me for our marriage? Please tell me, "pinta Fariz with a face full of question marks.
"No need to ask too many questions. I just want to sleep," Zafira said a little sniffly.
There was a sigh coming out of Fariz's mouth, hearing Zafira's answer sounding faint.
"If I don't ask, I'll never know what my mistake was?" Fariz said back in a soft voice, issued with extreme caution. He did not want his words to make his wife's feelings worse.
"There's no mistake whatsoever that you did. I was just thinking, maybe you are now feeling happy and satisfied," a sentence finally slid free from Zafira's mouth without filtering it first with a fixed gaze hitting the dresser.
"What do you mean?," Fariz asked quickly, not understanding the direction Zafira said.
"Are you satisfied to see me void of marriage to Ronald? And now that you are satisfied you finally managed to marry me? This is what you had been hoping for?," the eyes that had just been fixed on the dresser, now turned to stare at the man beside her.
Fariz's eyes were wide. His expression showed shock with an honest answer coming out of Zafira's mouth. The man's heart suddenly hurt. He did not expect the wife to have such thoughts towards him. All inner turmoil is at war in the heart. Is it really the decision he made? Marry Zafira and tie the sacred promise of marriage in the hope that the girl will open her heart and fall in love with her? It seems that can't happen. Hope may not be real. Seeing Zafira's attitude in this one day made the man become hopeless again. The hope that during the procession of marriage contract had grown because God had given him a gift to marry Zafira, now instantly disappeared when he heard the words that had just been thrown by the girl.
"I..," Fariz was confused as to what to answer. Suddenly his brain became stuck to explain something.
The girl who had now finished her gaze at the man sitting next to her, resumed her speech. A sense of tightness that filled the heart as if telling him to spit out everything that felt stifling. He felt that his chest cavity was too tight to accommodate everything that had happened in this one day. Starting from Ronald's betrayal that was revealed, followed by the pregnancy of the image that was revealed, to the last sudden marriage that must be done with his own best friend. All of this had shattered the feelings and happiness that were in front of his eyes.
"You have always threatened me. If I marry Ronald, you'll leave me. But what's the truth now? You didn't leave me but instead married me!," Zafira's voice began to rise, staring at Fariz with teary eyes.
"Now you are satisfied, right? Is it satisfied that you can marry me?," Zafira's cry broke.
He subconsciously struck Fariz's chest with both hands. I don't know what the purpose of his attitude is? Does he want to express all the hurt and anger that Ronald did to him, who he tried to arrest since morning? Or was she upset that Fariz had taken a chance in a narrowness by marrying her all of a sudden? I don't know, his heart couldn't answer. He was still confused by everything that happened today so that his mind and heart could not walk normally as they should.
The girl kept hitting her husband's chest. And the husband did not try to avoid let alone forbid. He just let Zafira do that. Perhaps by beating him, the anger and pain in the heart of the wife can be slightly reduced. Even though the hit was enough to make pain in the chest cavity but the man still tried to hold it.
More than ten strokes after blows Fariz received. Until finally Zafira seemed to realize himself from his bad treatment of an innocent husband. He was seen stopping his hand movements and gradually lowering it to his lap. Then he fell down and continued crying. The sound of a hiccup was still heard so loud in Fariz's ears that the girl's body seemed to shake.
Fariz just stared at the girl next to him without daring to do anything let alone touch her. He was afraid that the girl would get even more angry if she dared to touch her limbs in a state of his heart that was still burning with emotion.
The atmosphere is calm again. Both are silent. Only the sound of Zafira's sobbing broke the silence of the night. The girl was still downcast, crying over the heartbreaking story of her love journey. There was nothing he could do at this moment to spill out all the heart-stabbing feelings, other than with a cry.
Fariz waited a few minutes until Zafira stopped crying. Now he did not want to talk too much, because it would be useless for him to take out every word. Not the calm obtained by his invitation to the wife with the aim of reconciling two hearts, but it further strengthens the atmosphere of their bride's night.
Ten minutes passed. Now the man chose silence while continuing to stare at the zafira which still occasionally sounded as hiccups. He continued to wait for the cry to subside and ensure the state of the heart and emotions of the wife more calm and controlled. He knew, a time like this, just silence would be the best way out for them. Because if he continues to force Zafira to talk with the condition of his heart that is injured and even angry, it is certain that the emotions of the wife will increase, the emotions will increase, which will make a quarrel between them and lead to a big fight on the first night they live one house even one room.
