Part 11: The Pingitan

“mbak let iki sampeyan will be dipingit”.(turn after this you will be pingit)

Pingit or pingitan is one of the traditions in the Javanese customary wedding process, where the bride-to-be is forbidden to go outside the house or meet the groom-to-be during the specified time. Usually, the two cannot meet until the wedding ceremony arrives. This tradition must be done by brides who are married to Javanese customs.
