A woman was seen getting off the motorcycle she was riding. He took down the luggage wrapped in a large purple plastic, then picked up the phone and contacted someone.
It appeared that the girlfriend who had just come out of a company building immediately approached him. In a hurry the woman immediately lifted a large plastic from her motorcycle.
The large plastic contains a mini-brownis cake in a jar of brown paper.
"Everything twenty-two jars, yes," said the woman handed him a note.
"Here's the money, Velan," said Desi handing over some of the money.
"Thank you, Des. Oh yes, I have prepared profit money last semester, will be transferred immediately, yes," said Velan.
"Forgive it," said Desi commenting on her smile.
"Then I go straight back to the kiosk, if there is another order, just tell me, until later" Velan said.
"Sip, take it easy" Desi said before he re-entered his office with the plastic.
Velan smiled happily, he was really grateful to Desi who had helped him in running their business, namely managing a home-scale cake kiosk.
Velan became a victim of termination because the company where he worked suffered bankruptcy. Velan had been trying to find another job, but at the age of three, precisely thirty-one years, age became a factor that inhibited to get a job. Most job openings list a maximum age of thirty years for certain level jobs.
Therefore while looking for work, Velan tried his luck to open a side business by selling mini-sized brownies packaged in jars. Armed with the ability to test the recipe of the cake that many milling on social media, unexpectedly it turned out to get a pretty good reception from consumers, when initially only he promoted it to his friends. The cake he sold was then using the open order system.
For business capital, Velan only armed from severance money whose nominal is not too large. Limited capital makes Velan not able to develop his business to the maximum.
Desi, a childhood friend of Velan High School, became one of his investors. Desi provided capital loan assistance to Velan with a profit sharing system. The business that had been just a side was gradually becoming the main livelihood of Velan.
For Velan is very tiring, because he did his own business. Starting from receiving orders, buying cake ingredients, processing, packaging, to delivering directly to consumers, all must be done by Velan himself.
Velan only hoped that this tiredness would really bring blessings. The important thing is that the wheels of the economy keep turning as they should.
Thanks to his persistence in business and the addition of capital, Velan was finally able to rent a patch of kiosks as a place to open a trading stall. In a small stall that's where he complained of fate. Collecting money to meet the needs of his family.
Velan itself becomes the main backbone of the family. He lives with four older brothers who have no clear direction and purpose in life. Age is just a number to Velan's four older brothers. They were all troublemakers in the neighborhood where they lived. Their father was hit by a stroke which eventually made Velan's parents decide to go to treatment in his father's hometown only, because of the limited cost to do medical care.
"Velan, I will bring my father home for treatment in the village, at this time my father's health is more important, you take good care of yourself. I'm counting on you to take care of your sisters" Velan's mother said before the middle-aged woman went to bring her husband home.
"Remember, don't quarrel with your brothers" mother said.
Thus, finally Velan lived with four older brothers who once again could only trouble Velan alone.
Tomi is Velan's oldest sister, but her flabby demeanor leaves her unheard of by her family. The thirty-six-year-old was always smiling under any circumstances. Tomi works as an unattached freelance courier. If no consumer uses his services, he often just lying at home while watching the soap opera.
Furthermore, there is Yoyok, the third brother of Velan who has the most gentle and friendly character when compared to the other three brothers. Yoyok himself worked as a non-permanent odd jobs. His hobby is collecting ornamental plants that he displays on the corner wall of their home terrace.
Taki is Velan's fourth brother. Biang kerok who always makes troublemakers with his attitude that always insists on anything. The man's emotions are easily ignited even if only because of trivial things. Taki himself is an unemployed man who has such big dreams. He wanted to be the vocalist of a famous band. He joined a band fronted by friends hanging out to music from cafes to cafes. He and Toro join a band that makes them sing around the cafe if anyone calls them. If not, yes, they will return to singing in postkamling to accompany residents who are on patrol.
Velan was just about to ride back on his motorcycle when his phone rang.
Tumben once his first brother called, thought Velan.
"Velan, where are you?" Tom sounded panicked.
"What's up, Tomi?" ask Velan.
"Hurry home now!" tomi Pinta.
"Why should I go home now? I still have to go back to the stall, brother," said Velan.
"The foot is raging and will destroy the house!" tomi's clear exclaim gave off a panicked voice mixed with fear.
Velan snorted furiously, again Taki did something.
That troublemaker! Velan.
"Taki unloaded your room, Velan," Tomi said.
"What?! Unpacked my room?!" exclaimed Velan aghast.
"Velan, that's why you're coming home soon" Tomi said.
"Well, I'll go home now" said Velan.
Velan immediately drove his motorcycle at full speed. Right now all he had in mind was to immediately go home because Taki was desperate to dismantle his room.
In what order did the man dismantle his room?
What was he looking for in Velan's room?
Velan felt a bad feeling. Taki has always been in trouble with his finances. Taki is unemployed who always sings in the bathroom and has a dream to become a famous singer with his band. To Velan, her brother's dream was ridiculous! But Taki still insists on fighting for his dream which is not in line with the principles of Velan's life.
For Velan, eating three meals a day is enough. No need to dream grandiosely if the edges will only trouble it.
