Chapter 2 The House of Nugroho

It was still early morning sunlight was still reluctant to show the heat. The occupants of the room were still sleeping. There was no morning activity the room was silent.

A few seconds passed and Shasha opened her eyes. She looked at her husband's face. Adi still seems to sleep well. He could not wake her. Shasha got up and cleaned herself in the bathroom. After changing clothes, he went outside the room.

Shasha headed to the kitchen where her mother-in-law Rina was cooking for breakfast.

"Mom's morning." said Shasha to her mother-in-law.

The man called the mother turned his head and smiled, telling her daughter-in-law to come closer. Shasha approached and helped her mother-in-law cook in the kitchen.

"It's Adi's favorite dish" Rina's mother told her daughter-in-law.

"May Shasha help mom" Shasha said again. Lina's mother nodded her head.

Lina's mother smiled and continued her cooking. Shasha was very happy to help her mother-in-law.

Finish cooking Shasha put the dish on the dining table. And went to the room to wake her husband.

Just a few steps Shasha walked towards the room the door was open.

It looks like her husband is awake and well dressed. Then towards the dining table pull a chair and then sit on it.

"What would you like to leave now." asked Rina as she walked over to Adi who had first sat on the dining table chair followed by Shasha, her daughter-in-law.

" In a moment .." said Adi while looking at the watch in his hand.

" What is the cut is over" said Miss Rina again.

" Yes ma'am, it's only been two days" Adi told her mother.

" Why not continue your father's business alone" said Miss Rina looking at her son.

" Adi is not ready yet, and again Adi is more comfortable working at Adi's place now" Adi said. " Dad's efforts have been continued by uncle kan Bu" Rina's mother nodded.

" Yes already if it's your decision, the mother just complies" said Miss Rina finally.

Adi saw the clock on his wrist there were still a few minutes left. There is still enough time for breakfast.

Meanwhile, Shasha picked up a plate containing fried rice for her husband's favorite egg, then took it for her in-laws and finally for herself.

Adi was still enjoying her favorite food when Ms. Rina said again to her son.

"You and Shasha stay here alone Di.." Pinta ma'am Rina .

"Here mom alone if you work there is Shasha who accompanies mom." said Miss Rina again.

Adi looked at the woman he respected whom he called Mother. Before marriage only he and his mother lived in the house. His father had long since died of illness. Her sister lives with her husband in another city. In the mansion only he and his mother occupied it. The home of Lukas Nugroho, his father.

"It's up to mom.."sahut Adi could not bear to leave her mother alone in a house this big. Maybe if there is Shasha who accompanies mother is not lonely anymore, he thought.

After breakfast, Adi prepares to leave for the office. He kissed the back of his mother's hand and walked towards the door.

Shasha drove her husband to the front door.

Adi kissed his wife's forehead and gently rubbed Shasha's hair buds.

Adi passed to his car still laughing. There is already a Slamet sir waiting for his employer's son. Adi got into the car sitting on the passenger bench followed by a pack of Slamets behind the wheel.

Shasha went into the house and saw her mother-in-law sitting in the living room. She approached her mother-in-law and sat down next to her in-laws.

"What mother would cook today let Shasha do the shopping" Shasha said as she sat next to her in-laws.

"No need Sha mom was just shopping stay cooking" said Rina softly. " Here's mom's temenin..."

Shasha also complied.

"Let's cook Mom...Shasha helpin"ask Shasha again.

"Shasha is a smart cook too" he said.

Shasha's mother-in-law is very good at cooking. Sometimes Shasha linger at Adi's house. In the past when his mother visited Rina's mother's house he went to the kitchen, learned to cook so that the winter is like bude, Shasha said at the time.

" Yes Sha .." Rina's mom smiled because she was no longer alone with Shasha at home.

While watching tv, Rina chatted with her daughter-in-law. Although they are in-laws and daughters-in-law, Rina already considers Shasha like her own child. Because Shasha is the son of her best friend, Santi.

When the two women were chatting, the sound of the door being knocked from the outside.

Shasha got up from her seat and walked towards the door. Look who's coming. When the door opened, a woman of the same age as Rina immediately hugged Shasha. That woman is none other than Shasha's mother.

"Had ma early in the morning here" asked Shasha to return his mother's embrace.

The woman Santi mama Shasha did not answer her son's question. Santi took off his embrace and took his son's hand and went inside.

Santi approached Shasha's in-laws and sat facing each other.

"Mama kangen dear" said Santi to give up longing to Shasha, his little daughter who has grown up.

"It's been a day" Shasha nodded while holding her mother's hand.

"That's okay, yes mama's gone home," Santi murmured but did not move from his seat.

Ms. Rina just shook her head slowly and smiled at her irony and her best friend.

"Every day mama sees you and now can't see a day mama is missing," said Santi while looking at her little daughter's face.

Shasha smiled while looking at her mother's excessive behavior.

"Just stay here, all of us reunion," joked Shasha's in-laws to hold back his laughter." She's not your little princess anymore...Shasha is big," said Rina reminded her best friend.

"But she's still my little daughter, Rin" Santi replied, not losing. Shasha, who saw the little strife, left her mother and mother-in-law.

Both of them continued their conversation. Before long Shasha brought a tray containing two glasses of drinks and snacks.

Shasha had a chat and the occasional laughter of her mother added to the warm atmosphere of the morning before noon.

Long time they chat after running out of chat material Santi was saying goodbye because the day was already noon. After saying goodbye to besan and his best friend Santi went home.

Shasha drove her mother to the front of the house. And ordered to be a good wife for her husband also respect his mother-in-law.

Shasha nodded her head.

It's past the hour to get home from work but Adi hasn't come home yet. Just one day newlyweds but Adi feels still bachelor only. Still going home late as was his habit all along.
