Four years later…..
“Aras...Aris..all told to go home with Mom.”a young woman picked up two boys who were busy playing on the sidelines.
“Shortly, Tea. Aras is waiting for his fish to get into his net.”
“It's afternoon, A. I'll be angry if Aras and Aris don't come home now. Asked to shower with Mother.”
“Call me Mother, Aras and Aris take a bath in the river only.” replied Faras, one of two children with similar faces.
“Teteh here Tea. Play with us. Later if we get fish, the fish can be fried. Kan Teteh likes to eat fried fish.” exclaimed Faris, the sister.
“Aris...don't let go of the net! Later the fish off.” exclaimed Faras.
The young woman who had intended to pick up the twins was even looking for fish together.
“Teh, that's the fish. Catch Tea!” faris screams as he sees the fish swimming dancing near the feet of the young woman called by Faras and Faris.
The young woman and the twins were engrossed in playing in the shallow river but many of the fish.
“Aa Level….Ade Aris..go home first bageur, later I'm angry if you guys are still playing here. Magrib in a minute. You will have to get ready to go to the mosque.” a middle-aged woman followed the young woman who did not return.
“Don't scream Mak Nene! Later go.” cried Faras trying to block so that the grandmother did not scream.
“Magrib soon. Pamali if you want magrib you still play here. If you continue to play later you are late to go to the mosque. Your mother has come home and is looking for you.” explained Mak Isah, the grandmother.
“Tuti, you were told to pick up Aras with Aris instead play with them.” Mak Isah's nagging on Tuti, the nephew.
Tuti only nodded to realize his mistake.
“Absolutely Mother is home, Tea?” tanya Faras, the eldest of the two Sadiyah twins.
“Teteh already said from earlier that Mom has gone home.” Tuti swung his lips two inches in annoyance.
“Aras did not hear that Teteh said Mother had come home.” said Faras defended himself.
“Teteh will say that if you do not come home soon later Mom is angry, it means Mom has gone home.”
“Ah Teteh, that the hell Teteh said her Mother was angry not Mom had gone home.” Faras protest again.
“Same to Aras.” Tuti was increasingly singing his lips.
“Aris...quickly get home. Mother has returned home.” invite Faras to Faris twin sister ignored Tuti who was sulking because not noticed by them.
“Mother is home?” ask Faris.
“Kata Mak Nene, I'm home. Let's hurry and go home later Mom gets angry.” Faras ran to his house.
“Wait for the Cedars...” cried Faris while running after Faras.
Mak Isah and his nephew, Tuti immediately followed the twins while walking.
“Mother.....” Faris rushed into the house looking for Sadiyah who had just returned home after three days to go to Bandung to take care of her business there.
“Aras same Aris play where? Why just go home now? Magrib and you haven't had a bath in a while. Later you are late going to teach to the mosque.” Sadiyah's tirade.
“Aris equals Aras play in the river, Mom. Find fish to eat later. Kan Teh Tuti likes to eat fried fish, so Aris same Aras looking for fish for Teh Tuti.” explained Faris.
“Ah that's the reason Aris only, Tea. When Tuti came, they were busy catching fish. That's why they are happy to play air.” Tuti did not accept that he was made into a collision so that Sadiyah did not scold her two children.
“Already! Don't fuss. Quickly you take a shower.” exclaimed Sadiyah.
“Siap, Bu.” sahut Faras and Faris compact.
*************
Usually if Sadiyah is not out of town, every night before her children sleep, she will read a story.
“What A?”
“Daddy when to go home anyway Bu?” ask Faras suddenly.
Sadiyah was speechless unable to answer the question of her eldest son.
“Iya, Mom. Dad, his work doesn't come home. Friends Aris whose father works in Bandung like to go home on Saturday or Sunday.” Faris answered questions from her twin sister.
Sadiyah twisted her wits to answer the questions of Faras and Faris.
“Dad does it work jauuuuh, not in Bandung. Bandung is still close. You guys will often follow Mom if Mom is going to Bandung.” Sadiyah replied. He hoped that the answer he gave could satisfy Faras and Faris' curiosity even though he was sure that the twins would never be satisfied with the answer.
“Yes, Mom. Where does Dad work, Mom?. His father Teh Indah works in Kalimantan, Bu. Kalimantan is far away, right, ma'am? Her stomach is using an airplane, but her father Teh Indah also likes to go home. Yesterday his father Teh Indah returned home bringing a lot of food from Kalimantan. Aras and Aris were also given.” Faras told me about his playmate's father with passion.
As Sadiyah expected, Faras and Faris would not be satisfied with every answer. The twins will continue to search Sadiyah with further questions.
“Daddy works further than Kalimantan huh Bu? Work in Arabia, Mom? His father Usep worked in Arabia, he said he rarely went home. Once every 5 years. Maybe you work in Arabia, Mom? But his father Usep likes vidio call an Bu. Yesterday Usep story that his father vidio call an from Arab. Great Mom, although far away can see each other. Aris also wants to be able to video call Dad.” Faris tells the story of her playmate who likes to make video calls with her father who works in Arabia.
Sadiyah racked her brain to give a reasonable answer to Faras and Faris' intelligent brain.
“Your fathers work further than the Arabs. There is no phone signal so can not call vidio an the same you. If his father Usep comes home once every 5 years. Your father comes home once every 10 years. Later if you guys already have tenth birthday, Dad come home.”
“Indeed his working dad where is Mom? Farther than Arab, Mom? Faris asked increasingly.
Now let's just say Sadiyah. There will always be further questions from both Faras and Faris. Faras and Faris really miss their father. Sadiyah never once showed the face of their father, but she did not cover the name of their father. Faras and Faris knew clearly the name of their father.
“His work is in the Amazon jungle. You guys know where the Amazon jungle is?”
“Aras tau, Ma'am. I read a story about the Amazon jungle. The piranha fish are the same anaconda, right, ma'am?”
“Iya, right.” Sadiyah replied with excitement. Sadiyah will let her twin imagination play.
“What does it do in the Amazon jungle, Bu?” ask Faris
“He does feed piranha fish the same anaconda yes, Bu?” sambar Faras's.
Sadiyah was not surprised to hear the statements of her children but she did not expect that the lies about Kagendra's work received a good response from her two children. Sadiyah's guess is right on target. Their children have a high imagination. He let the imagination of Faras and Faris become the reality they believed in.
“In the Amazon jungle also hard signal yes, Mom. The forest is very thick. Must be hard to get a signal so can not vidio call with Mom and us huh, Mom? You don't miss Daddy?” ask Faras.
Sadiyah was unable to answer Faras' question. He did not expect the question from Faras.
“Mother misses your father. So kangeen. But mother can not treat this kangen taste.” Inner Sadiyah cried when she felt her chest tight because of the longing that was so strong. Six years
not meeting with Kagendra did not make Sadiyah forget her husband.
“If you miss your Dad, Mom. Aras wants to meet Daddy. Especially soon Aras and Aris enter Kindergarten. Levels want school delivered by Father.”
“Aris also wants to meet Dad. Can't you if Dad comes home now?”
“And Mom already said that Dad came home when you were 10 years old.”
“Still a long time huh Ma? Now we're only five years old. So long is Dong Bu? Couldn't it be tomorrow's tenth birthday?” ask Faris.
Sadiyah laughed at Faris' request.
“Already night. Quick sleep. You guys’a with Allah so that Daddy can go home quickly and can meet you.”
“Iya Bu.” Faras and Faris eagerly read do’a before going to bed and berto’a so their father quickly home.
“Daddy miss Aa. Is Aa also the same? Ah, surely Aa has forgotten Iyah because Aa has lived happily with Natasha and your child.” Sadiyah wiped away the tears that suddenly dripped. “Walau Aa has forgotten the same Iyah, it is still okay if Iyah feels kangen same Aa?” luckily Faras and Faris had fallen asleep so they did not hear the sobs of Sadiyah.
