“I just met Hero ...,” Jen said slowly and as forced.
Darren who had just finished performing the Ashar prayer service turned his head, and woke up in a hurry. She was overjoyed to see Jen who was fresher than she was a moment ago when she just woke up.
“I ... just .. play with it.” He repeated his words. “She said she was already happy there, and ..”
“Have ...” Darren leaned over to hug Jen who was already covered in tears. The woman roared in Darren's arms.
“Why, Ren? Why isn't he waiting for me? I'm up, but he's gone? Why?”
“He doesn't want to see you sad, Honey ..”
“She must hate me ..”
“No... Hero loves you very much.” Darren took off his arms, cupped Jen's cheeks and wiped the tears that flooded my face Jen. “Don't say that, Hero couldn't possibly hate a woman so great as to defend her, fighting together with her. Hero would like to meet you in a better situation ...”
Darren ended his words by peeping Jen's forehead to make her a little calmer. The saddest thing about every man's wounds is that he must remain strong and firm for the sake of his loved ones.
A husband and father would be hurt more and more to see his beloved so deeply and he could do nothing but comfort him. Supposedly, as a man whose bones were thousands of times stronger, could do anything to get his loved ones to publish a smile.
“Please do not say that again, yes ... it will only hurt Hero. He's survived this far and we can't force him to feel pain for much longer. You can definitely feel how strong he has been all this time, right? Forever the Hero will be like that, will be remembered as a great man. Which so strongly supports her mamm...”
Jen began to cry. Darren's words seemed to remind him of his own promise that he would accept whatever would be the risk, even if this was not what he wanted. If possible, he alone feels pain, while his son will grow up well in his care, and Darren.
“Hero ...” Jen took a breath. His chest was heavy, his throat was painful, his pain was slashing, but he had to force himself to be strong. His weak hands crawled up to touch Darren's chest which was still bent over him. Slowly he ventured to look into Darren's eyes, which he had been avoiding. And Darren smiled.
“He likes to play there ...” Jen squeezed Darren's shirt, closed her hot eyes. “She ... held my hand, leading me to a bright light and glare. Then release my hand.” Jen cried again, her voice inaudible. Closed by a blanket of wounds and tears.
Darren grabs Jen's hand and kisses her, “Here is she holding it?” he kissed Jen's left hand that felt wet and warm. “I feel it ..” murmured Darren. It was as if he felt the touch of his son who was somehow in Jen's dream.
Jen bit her lip, it really hurt to lose this, but she had to be strong. He must be sincere. He was only sure that Hero would be happier in the arms of the Khalik.
“Wait for mami, yes, Darling ..wait for all of us, Hero.”
Jen's limitations in moving make Darren unable to scoop her in the arms. He can only calm down by continuing to wipe and wipe Jen's tears. He knew Jen was trying to accept all this. However, he takes them in one body, it's not easy to be sincere, so Darren tries to understand by letting Jen inflate her wounds little by little. He knows that losing is not always easy to get rid of.
“Do you want to see Hero?” darren said suddenly. Without waiting for Jen's approval, he opened his phone, and showed a photo of Hero that had been immortalized by one of the nurses. While he also showed a photo that he took shortly before he accompanied Jen at dawn this morning.
“And she's strong like you ..” Darren. “You know .. I envy you so much.” Jen turned her head, though her tears melted, she could already control herself.
Darren nodded and thinned his lips. “She's been playing with you and already showed how she looks like when she's big, while .. I can only imagine and wait for the big Ace.” He said while scowling.
Jen inevitably laughed as well, Darren's expression was really funny. “Waiting for me is good with you, you are patient, the waiting time for his son is big, can not be?” he wiped his tears. And looked at Darren with gratitude.
“Thank you for being patient with me all this time .. thanks—"
"Don't say thank you .. I just did what I was supposed to do as your husband." Darren smiled as he rubbed Jen's forehead. Seeing Jen like this it felt like she was very happy.
"Em .. Time to visit Ace. But baby you can't come."
"Aces?" parrot Jen with a frown.
Darren seems to forget, if he was the one who named their children without telling Jen. "Sorry, I spontaneously gave a name to our children!" Darren grimacing. Then he frowned. "How did you know the other one was called Hero?"
Jen was confused. "You mentioned it out loud before, right?"
"Where? When?"
"Lho ...? It's not that you just mentioned that name out of nowhere and I heard everything you said ...." Jen is increasingly surprised by Darren's behavior which is like confusion.
"Yes .. I don't know" said Darren at last. "I'm .. I said too much, so I don't remember what I said." Darren grimaced confused with a hand scratching the temple.
"Can't he hear? Or start to hear someone? Could it be that Abis passed out and had some strange powers? Wake my life later .. can not complain with his disappointment." Darren's inner cringed in horror.
