chapter.28. Big Party

I've been in Contento City for a year. This morning I just stepped into the office lobby.

"For Ma'am!" greet the security guard and bellboy while bowing their heads.

"Good morning to Mr. Rama.. Anton.." I replied with a smile to them and then went into the lobby.

As I walked to the elevator to my room. All of a sudden..

"Yuk same old brother huh? Poor brother looking for you anxious. Later in the afternoon if aunt finishes work and meets you again. Aunty promised us we'd play together." I said to Chika while giving it to her Baby Sitter.

"Thank you Ma'am, sorry for the trouble" said Baby Sitter Chika.

"Yes, thank you for being reminded. Chika spilled milk. So I went for a while looking for tissue. As soon as I saw Chika was gone" he said regretfully.

Tomorrow at our resort there will be a big party. A grand and luxurious wedding party. From yesterday the hotel staff was busy preparing everything. Most of our rooms are rented to invited guests.

According to the information I received, today the bride and the invited guests will arrive here. Her bride-to-be is a conglomerate princess and her partner is a young businessman.

"Glen, this is beautiful. You are great!" I said as I passed the event venue after lunch.

Glen was my friend in charge of this party.

When I go down to the lobby to go home. The atmosphere of the resort lobby is crowded. Looks like the bridesmaids and the invited guests have arrived.

Neny and Willy our check in section looks very busy.

"Maammaa.. mamaa.." like the voice I'm familiar with. This time it was like crying.

I came to the origin of the sound. It turned out that the voice was Chika's. This time he was in a luxurious baby carriage. Next to him a beautiful woman was chatting with her friend.

Not long after she called Chika's baby sitter. Then the Baby Sitter took away the crying Chika.

"It's okay" I replied as I picked up my fallen bag.

"Daniel! Have you seen my shoes?" ask the woman behind me, the man who hit me.

The voice I know. Did he just call Daniel? That's Papa Andrew's name.

"It's a pity, it was almost carried away by the car that picked us up" replied the man.

I looked back a little. It was Claudia and Daniel. Andrew's Mom and Dad. Looks like they're one of the invited guests of the bride-to-be. The world seems narrow among big businessmen. It is like they are connected to each other.

Then I went on my way home.

After dinner, I was reading my favorite novel.

"Yes Glen?" ask me when I pick up the phone.
