In our hamlet, girls my age are usually married and have one or two children.
But I don't want to have a life like that. I still want to pursue the dream of having a higher education. If you have a good economic life, it is a bonus.
They are busy taking care of their children and husbands. I stayed in school, even though the distance from home to school took a few kilos.
Pa and Ma certainly support what I dream of. Those who have the right to make their children's life choices are their own children. Their job as parents is to simply direct them to stay in line with the correct corridor.
One evening after Pa from the city three years ago.
"Sally's.. Sally. "call Pa from outside the house.
"Yes Pa." I replied as I ran towards the origin of Pa's voice.
Turns out Pa bought me a bike.
"Wuaah... Is this for me Pa?" I just can't believe it.
" Yes to you, baby. High school and our home are quite far away. I hope this helps speed up your way to school" Pa told me.
"Thank you Pa" as I hugged and kissed the man I love most.
"Pa.. later if Mey is already in high school, Mey wants a bike like that as well" said Mey who had been watching next to Ma.
"Definitely dear" Pa replied, then hugged and kissed Mey affectionately.
I gave the name Beky to my bike. Beky faithfully drove me away and home from school.

I don't think I'll be graduating from High School any minute. It seems like it would be hard for Pa and Ma to finance me to college.
Relying on scholarships is going to be difficult. Usually only in the form of school fees, while the cost of living and other school needs must be borne alone. All of this costs not a little. And to be honest, I was a bit doubtful if I could get that scholarship, given the intense competition in our country.
Even in school I had good results in almost all subjects. But it does not guarantee that you will pass the scholarship selection in college.
I finally decided that after I graduated from school, I would go to the city looking for a job. Later I will save the money to finance my needs in college, while continuing to try the selection to get a scholarship.
Initially, Ma and Pa are a bit heavy taking off her daughters to fight for life and stay away from them. But seeing his son's determination so strong and for the happiness of his son, they finally gave permission.

Today is my graduation day. Pa looks handsome and dashing with his rogue clothes that were used during last year's feast day.
Ma also looks more beautiful with a simple dress embroidered small flowers blue sky special Pa bought two weeks ago as a birthday gift for their wedding.
My sister Mey looks sweet with a bright pink dress embroidered with peonies the result of Ma's creative hands.
Of course, I am no less beautiful than Ma and Mey. I'm wearing a sky blue dress with a little white flower pattern. Don't forget Ma added a thin lint of blotch on my lips. Risih actually wear makeup on the face, but according to Ma because this is my special day, then I have to wear it to look brighter.
" Yes Pa!" the three of us answered almost in unison, then exited the room towards the terrace.
"The beauty of my empress and daughters" Pa praised the three of us.
"Yes dong, we're Ma and Pa's kids" said little Mey.
Pa rubbed the tip of Mey's head, in a fit of anxiety.
"Let's go" take Pa.

The open-top car, borrowed from a neighbor who used to transport produce, was ready to take us to school.
Ma, Pa, and Mr. John the car owner sat in front. Mey and I sat in the back, enjoying the wind in our faces. Sometimes we hold the hair by hand to dispel the wind that seems to want to damage the order.
"Sally, please take care of Mey. Don't let him fall when the car goes through a hollow road" Pa's message said.
"Well Pa" I replied.
Right now I feel happy to be mixed with sadness. It's good, because the beginning of my dream will begin. Sad, for soon I will leave Pa, Ma, Mey, friends, and the hamlet of the Asri Valley.
***
At 7 o'clock 45 minutes we arrived at school. Tom, Mena, and Kela my friends have arrived first.
"Sally.." call the three of them.
"Hi Tom, Mena, Kela! Pa.. Ma... I'm with friends, right?" my pamit to Pa and Ma while taking Mey out of the car and giving it to Ma.
"Yes, be careful not to run. Remember you're wearing Sally's dress!" ma's message.
"Ready Ma!" my answer.
After the speech from the principal, it was time to announce the students who became general champions this year. My name is one of them called as an outstanding student to get an award from the Headmaster. Including Tom was also called, of course to receive an award like me.
From the stage I saw Pa and Ma smiling proudly and haru at me. They are proud and moved by the results of my hard work and determination to pursue my dreams.
