chapter.22. Knowing Other Families

Today is my 12th holiday. I've prepared all the things I'm going to bring to Aunt Gina's house. Includes a pretty dress that Ma sewed himself for Aunt Gina.

The sound of the car engine was heard from the courtyard. Apparently he's come. I immediately pulled my suitcase out of the room.

"For Pa.." said Chris to Pa who was in the yard.

"For Chris's Son" replied Pa

"Yes!! Chris' son is here!" Pa called me while I went inside the house.

"Yes Pa." I replied.

When I appeared in the doorway. Chris took over my suitcase and gave it to Mr. Paul to put in the trunk of the car.

"Is this all you brought, baby?" ask Chris to me.

Since the incident on the river yesterday Chris started calling me "Honey". I'm not used to hearing it, it still feels uncomfortable while making my heart beat.

"That's all" I replied.

"You guys are done? Let's have breakfast first. Mr. Paul too yes." said Ma who had just appeared in front of the entrance of the house.

"Already Ma. Come on, Chris. Come on, Paul, let's have breakfast!" take me to Chris and Paul.

Chris took my hand tucking his finger between my fingers.

"Can dong? We've become lovers." asked Chris for my approval, when I was suddenly shocked by what he was doing.

I'm gonna shake my head as a sign that I agree. Chris smiled happily.

After breakfast, I checked back in case anyone forgot. Chris and I told Pa, Ma, and Mey. It seems like without saying Pa and Ma already know what happened between me and Chris. Maybe because they are more experienced in love.

"Son Chris, I'm Sally. Please take good care of her." Pa's message to Chris as she hugs him.

"Sure Pa." replied Chris clearly.

I hug and kiss Pa, Ma, and Mey. Chris and I walked to the car. I still feel less together with my family. But there are other responsibilities that are ready to await me.

Chris and I waved to Pa, Ma, and Mey. Just a few hundred yards away we were away from my parents' house. Chris acted like a child.

"Hoaam, I'm still sleepy" he said without permission to put his head on my lap.

"Girl!" I said rather surprised.

Chris seemed to ignore even closed his eyes. A few minutes later, he was completely asleep.

At first I hesitated to touch it. But I finally dared to correct the location of his head so as not to hurt his neck when I woke up later. I gently stroked her hair.

While falling asleep like this Chris' face looks very peaceful like a baby. And. it turns out he is very handsome when seen with a position this close.

As before, the trip this time takes 5-6 hours to reach the city of Hope. Not long after I followed Chris to dreamland.

Chris called me last night, which made us both very sleepy due to lack of sleep. We had just met before from morning until evening.

He said he was very happy that day. So he wanted to share it with me. Though the reason that makes him very happy is because I return his love.

We stopped for lunch and then went to Aunt Gina's house. The gates of Hope city were already in front of us. Then I'll be at Aunt Gina's house soon.

Auntie Gina welcomed me with pleasure.

"Darling.you are more beautiful. Aunt misses you so much. How's your family doing?" asked Aunt Gina after giving me a hug.

"They're all good Bi." I replied.

"Hmm. there's a handsome guy here" Aunt Gina said while teasing me.

"I'm Chris" Chris said as he extended a right hand to Aunt Gina.

"I'm Gina, Aunt Sally. Let's go in first!" take Aunt Gina to both of us.

Chris also meets Uncle Geo and Rick. After a few minutes, Chris said.

"Auntie.. Uncle. I said goodbye first. Nice to know Aunt and Uncle" Chris said kindly.

"We're also happy to know you Chris" replied Uncle Geo.

I drove Chris to the car.

"Honey, until tonight I pick you up" he said while scrambling the top of my hair.

"But I'm afraid of Chris." I replied.

"Why should you be afraid?" he lifted my chin with his right hand and then looked me in the eye.

"I'm by your side. You know Andrew, right? My brothers just want to know you. Dress up pretty!" chris tried to calm me down.

Chris if you know, what scares me is Andrew's reaction. I took a deep breath and then I nodded slowly.

"I love you so much dear." whispered Chris in my ear then entered the car.

I'm ready to wait on Aunt Gina's porch. Last afternoon Chris sent someone from a well-known boutique to bring me a beautiful knee-length dress that was simple but elegant. A little makeup and a simple hairdo complemented my appearance.

About 10 minutes later, Chris arrived. I also stood up to welcome him.

"You are so beautiful!" Chris was stunned by my appearance.

"Let's go later we're late" I said

"Come, I'll say goodbye to Uncle and Aunt" said Chris.

"They're going to a family event" I replied.

"OK!" chris said as he wrapped his hands around my waist.

We walked towards the car.

After the car stopped we went down at the same time. Chris put his hand around my waist back into the house.

Mom and Dad welcomed us. While Andrew pecked with a face down agitated. Andrew forgive me, I whispered in my heart.

"Hi beautiful, introduce me Claudia Chris' sister." Andrew's mother extended her right hand to me.

"It's nice to meet you, I'm Sally" I replied, replying to her hand.

"This is my husband Daniel, and this handsome young man our son Andrew." Mama Andrew introduced me to her husband and son.

"Hi Sally, Daniel" said Papa Andrew as we shook hands.

"Hi Sally, we finally meet again" Andrew said with a different look.

Being looked at like that made me feel even more guilty towards him.

"Hi Drew.." I replied while bowed down not daring to look him in the eye. Andrew clasped my hand tightly like he didn't want to let go.

All eyes are on us. I tried to let go of Andrew's hand. But he held it very tightly.

Seeing the awkward situation between me and Andrew, Chris tried to melt the atmosphere.

"Sister! Andrew knew Sally. Sally's one of the students." said Chris, pulling me in his arms.

"Oh like that. Let's have dinner first I'm hungry." take Daniel to all of us while embracing his wife to the dining room.

Chris grabbed my shoulder. We followed Daniel from behind. Andrew followed far behind me and Chris.

At the dinner table Chris acted spoiled to me. Like asking me to get him all the food. Or occasionally hold my hands. Whereas right in front of the position Chris was sitting, there was an annoyed look from a pair of eyes of the young man I knew.

Brother Claudia and Brother Daniel are friendly and warm people so we are easy to get along with. Andrew, however, was more silent.

After saying goodbye to Chris' family. I also went home to Aunt Gina escorted by Chris.

"Dear rest well, tomorrow we go to Agria" said Chris, looking into my eyes as I held him in my arms.

"Yes Chris, you too." I replied.

One brief kiss landed on my lips.

"That's a sign you should dream of me too tonight," said Chris seeing I was surprised by the sudden kiss from him.

Chris walked into the car. He waved his hand while smilingly teasing me. I waited until Chris' car passed out of sight. I just got into the house.

Auntie Gina and the family only returned 1 hour after I arrived.

As I began to lay down my body on the bed, a text message sounded on my phone.

"Sally, we need to talk. Can I go to your place? Please send me the address" text message from Andrew.

I took a deep breath before answering Andrew's message.

"Ok Drew, here's the address" I replied.

I think Andrew needs an explanation from me. Given the good relationship we had, and also the guilt that haunted me.

30 Minutes after Andrew arrived at Aunt Gina's house. I asked Aunt Gina for permission if any of my friends would meet me, and we would just talk on the porch.

I met Andrew who was sitting on the porch. Earlier I changed my nightgown with clothes that were worthy of receiving guests.

"Hi Drew!" my broom while putting a drink for Andrew then sat down on the porch seat.

"Sally, you're so surprised and angry at me. For almost 2 weeks I've been almost crazy to miss you. But tonight you come to my house with a new status as Om Chris' lover. I'm so disappointed!" said Andrew.

"Sorry Drew." I said while bowing.

"I know Chris likes you. I was on guard with my heart. But this is very sudden. After all, you promised to give me an answer first, before having another relationship. I want to know why you'd prefer him over me?"continued.

"I'm sorry Drew, everything happened unplanned. I have no intention of breaking my promise to you. But everything has gone that way" I replied.

"There's no comparison between you and Chris. This does not concern the problem of shortcomings or advantages that you have. At first I was confused about where I was going to put my heart. It turns out he took me to Chris. I beg you to forgive me Drew." I said again still bowed in fear of seeing Andrew's gaze.

"Well, if it's like that. Thanks for your explanation. I go home." he said, rising to his feet.

I followed him from behind. To drive him home.

Suddenly Andrew turned around, hugged my body and put his lips on mine. I pegged for a moment, I tried to remove the link of his lips by pushing his chest.

Andrew stopped the kiss but still hugged me.

"Please let me one last time Sally. Let me hug and kiss you. I want you to know how much love and affection I have for you. After this I'll bury him in a row." said Andrew, looking at me expectantly.

"Can?" andrew asked with his lips very close to mine.

"But Drew I am.." I replied.

Hear my answer. Andrew didn't waste it. Thought Andrew, with the doubt implied in my answer, half my heart wanted it.

"Thank you" again touched my lips with her warm lips.

A kiss that felt so deep that we both closed our eyes. Andrew took off our lips. Then stretch his arms.

"Thank you Sally, someday if you need a place for your heart to go home. I kept waiting there." said Andrew, then walked into the car and passed.

I'm still standing there. I cursed myself with what just happened. Why does half of my heart refuse, and the other half accept it. At the moment, I am Chris's girlfriend.
