Give a Chance

Suddenly Mikael stopped his movements when their eyes were filled with burning passion. They stared at each other with breaths.

"I can't break my promise to your father even if I want to" Mikael said in a hoarse voice. Ariana wanted to scream in annoyance for Mikael to continue but he respected the man's decision. He admired the man's toughness to hold back even though Ariana knew something underneath had hardened and moved.

Ariana bit her own lips to hold the taste.

"I'm sorry," said Mikael, who kissed Ariana's lips quickly and did not want to be dissolved in an atmosphere that would make them out of control. It's innocent but there's a mental burden there. He did not want to disappoint Raina's father again who thought that he was just lustful towards this woman.

Along the way they just fell silent dissolved in each other's minds.

Finally, they got home. Their order arrived and was brought to Mikael's room. Dita who just woke up is brought to the back. Ariana changed her clothes to help her husband.

In front of Mikael's room was Mr. Slamet holding a bushel in his hand. He immediately stood up when he saw Mikael walking towards him.

"I told my wife to bring this food for Mr. Mike" Slamet said.

"How is your daughter?"

"It's better. My wife was waiting for him in the hospital" said Slamet quickly to know what was on Mikael's mind.

"The children are with their grandmother in the village next door" he continued.

"Thank you also because you've sent the groceries home" Mr. Slamet then wiped his tears. "His help is all very valuable from us. We'll always remember." Mikael lowers Dita and hugs Slamet.

"We as human beings help each other. Moreover, it is related to safety and life, we must help immediately. Let's just say it was a gift from God, it's just that I was lucky to be given the mandate to give it to Bang Slamet."

Some of the people around them were touched by what happened. Slamet had already said whatever Mikael did for his family was free.

"What's this!" mikael asked to open the rice.

"It's just rice with a potluck of fish" Slamet said.

"It seems like it was as good as yesterday" Mikael said smiling at Slamet.

"It's just plain food, sir," said Slamet embarrassed by the side dish he gave. However, Mikael seemed happy to make him feel proud of his wife's cooking.

"It's a shame I just ate with my wife outside. But I will eat."

"Sir Mike what are you doing?"

"Oh, this is going to tidy up the room I'm going to occupy." Slamet had heard what happened from Mak Ijah earlier about the existence of Mikael who had not received the blessing of Mr. Sanjaya.

After that, the food order came. Ariana ordered a lot of food for those who were working and also for those around them.

Then they eat together. Mikael chose to eat the food of Slamet's wife in her honor.

After the Maghrib, they returned to their homes. Ariana made things right first. Then decided to pray at home because Mikael has not cleaned himself.

Mikael looked at his phone. Sheila repeatedly calls to find out her whereabouts with Dita. Mikael ignores her and blocks her from creating new problems for her relationship with Ariana. Dita doesn't need a mother like Sheila.

He saw another chat. His mother also made a call just that he did not activate his phone earlier. His mother asked him how Ariana and his granddaughter were doing.

Mike: Is it only your daughter-in-law and grandchild that you ask?

Ms. Siti: Love is to be proven and Mr. Sanjaya just needs proof of your seriousness to get back with Ariana.

Outside Mr. Sanjaya's room fell silent. She hesitated to open the door and chose to let her child sleep in Mikael's room.
