Getting to Know Closer

"After we get out of port we will find a new place to eat and continue the journey may take another five hours" Mikael said after they got off the ship.

"Do not we should just look for lodging," said Ariana. Mikael wanted to say something but Ariana interrupted first.

"We're tired, he needs rest in a comfortable place. You may be strong but he's not."

"Both of you should not be well received there it would be nice if it comes already in a state of clean and calm mind. If we are after a long journey that there are even unclear emotions in dealing with your family later."

"Well, if that's what you want" Mikael said.

"Don't want me, it's all for your own good. I want to go straight to my house and meet my father and brother. I want to see how big brother responds if he sees you later. It's a good thing you didn't slit them later."

"Do we go straight to Grandpa Toha's house?" They're speechless. "I don't understand why you choose to use a car when we can take an airplane" Ariana said.

"Where are we going?" ask Mikael. The woman next to him was very unstable. Saying this soon says it. One more thing he just found out if Ariana is chatty like a woman in general.

"I'm hungry" said Dita suddenly.

"We ate first just talk about it later while eating," said Ariana.

They then look for a comfortable and nearby place to eat. Come by over there. Then they ordered food.

Ariana was amazed to see the patience of Mikael when feeding Dita. He seems accustomed to doing so. He was even willing to not eat first. Ariana ate it quickly.

"Let me, you eat your order first" he said. The father and son immediately stopped his movements staring at Ariana strangely.

"I just want to help you, nothing more."

Mikael smiles. He thinks Ariana will be cold during this trip in fact not. He seems to care about himself and Dita.

Why he chose to use the car was to get to know Ariana better and to have her accept her apology. If they already know each other maybe they can be friends and parted well there is no more hostility.

"Mom, I don't like onions," said Dita timidly to Ariana.

"Oh, I don't see it, nor do I like onions or chili in seasoning" Ariana replies separating the food from the seasoning that adheres patiently.

"How are we going after this?" ask Mikael.

"To Grandpa Toha's house, if you go to the hospital it won't be accepted because it's night, if you go to the hotel dear money."

"Indeed we'll be accepted there? I'm not sure."

"They won't accept you but will accept me and Dita" Araina said casually.

"Damn!"

"They won't have the heart to see Dita, they love me too, so there's no way they're going to kick me out. If you I don't know because you are,." Ariana's words were cut off.

"Yes I know myself, I'll sleep in the car if they turn me down."

"They wouldn't be able to do it. Most important parents apologize for their mistakes and they will forgive."

Ariana breathed. In his heart asked if their family was already hostile but why did the Mikael family still want him to be their daughter-in-law. Ariana did not think about this.

"We're back in the old house?" ask Mikael again. Ariana nodded her head. Then they get back in the car.

"You're behind, baby, you can rest there" Mikael told Dita.

"I'm scared" he said, glancing at Ariana hoping she would allow him to sit on her lap.

"I was the one driving you sat down with Dita."

"I'm sure I used to hold a car on the farm first" Ariana said. He then headed for the steering machine.

"I'm less sreg." Mikael said his feelings were uncertain about this decision.

"Trust me" said Ariana, opening her jacket. The Lampung area tonight feels very hot. He was only wearing sleeveless clothes, which hung nicely on his small waist. His body shape is clearly visible. Mikael just sighed. He was a normal man and had not been close to a woman for a long time. Although some college students and women openly seduce him but he is not interested.

"Mother will drive?" ask Dita.

"Hmmm," answered Ariana briefly and smiled. He started turning the car keys and the journey started. Ariana seems to control Medan. He just relaxed driving that car. Mikael started closing his eyes. He was actually very tired earlier.

Dita was still staring at Ariana who was driving agilely. I don't know what was on the boy's mind. Ariana was amused to see it herself. He wanted to keep his distance from the boy.

"You're not sleepy yet?" ask Ariana.

The boy shook his head. "Do you want anything?" The head bobble again he got.

"Where are we going, Mom?" ask Dita.

"Didn't your dad say we're going to Grandma's and grandpa's" Ariana said.

"Are you an evil mother, like the one in the princess story?" ask Dita. Ariana raised both her eyebrows upwards.

"Maybe it could be." Ariana glanced at Dita.

"But Mom's not like the one in the movie, you're not scolding me?" continue the child.

"Maybe one day I'll eat you, huaah," Ariana said, mimicking the style of a monster.

Dita screamed to hug her father but afterwards laughed.

Mikael who fell asleep then woke up and saw his son was laughing with Ariana.

"Dad, Mom will eat me" said Dita.

"Then you bite him first" replied Mikael.

"But my body is small, I can't fight it."

"I won't eat you because you're a kid."

"Say Dad, you live with your grandparents?"

"Oh, yes, what else did your father tell you?''

"Mother is beautiful and right, indeed beautiful," said Dita.

"Oh, that?" Ariana glanced at Mikael who was twisting his shoulders slightly.

"She asked me if I had any family, I explained all my surnames. He asked if anyone was close to him in Jakarta and I said yes. What it looks like, I said pretty, you don't get me wrong."

"You're beautiful too, like your mother," added Ariana holding Dita's chin. Mikael looks unhappy when discussing the name of his ex.
