"I don't mean I don't like Dita just that I don't want her to get used to me and depend on me for nothing." Raina looked at Mikael.
"You are my wife and you are her mother" answered Mikael but only inwardly.
"I'll never force you to do what you want. Everything we did was without coercion, even though I initially forced you to drive me to the village."
Mikael backed up and raised both of his hands. "I'm sorry if what I did made you uncomfortable. But I did it by reflex. If you think it is just lust, I said 'Yes', I am a man and in front of me there is a beautiful woman who is halal. Tempted of course...." Mikael then walked leisurely leaving Ariana.
The woman was just stunned listening to the man's words. Halal, seduced. Ariana shook her head.
"Wait for us not to finish talking."
"I'm done. If you want to go, please. If you miss coming back, go home" said Mikael, going to the dining room near Dita.
Ariana did not want such an answer. He wanted Mikael to be angry, to snap at him or to say he wanted to. It seems impossible. The man was too haughty and he was unwilling to chase the man who had thrown him away first.
"Mom's leaving?" dita asked as Ariana put her bag on the floor.
"I have to go back to where I live" said Ariana.
"Why not just stay here?"
"He doesn't want to stay here and doesn't want to be called Mom, Dita," Mikael said. Dita's face changed immediately. His wide eyes and used to look cheerful turned dewy. The boy didn't want to say anything but just looked down. He put his spoon on the table then got off his chair and walked up to the top of the room. Raina observed every behavior of the boy.
"Di-he why?" ariana asked worriedly and felt guilty.
"You want that. Don't worry I'll handle it. You weren't among us before and if you left shouldn't have been a problem for us. Go!" Mikael then took Dita's milk and walked upstairs following the boy.
Dita was sitting while covering her face on the pillow. Mikael went into his room.
"Hi Beautiful, why are you crying?'' mikael asked not to have the heart to see his son sad. He touched Dita's back and rubbed her slowly. Dita's body trembled and a small sobbing sounded.
"Darling, tell Dad how you feel. Don't just shut up if you don't cry."
He got up and sat down to his father. The boy wiped his tears.
"Dad, am I a bad boy?'' tanya Dita sobs.
"No dear you're a submissive child." Mikael wiped his son's tears.
"Am I a bitch?'' dita's great-granddaughter with pupils shakes like a weak rabbit.
"You're a funny, fun kid."
"If I'm fun, why doesn't everyone like me.''
"Who said?" ask Mikael.
"Yesterday at Grandpa and Grandma's house only Grandpa invited me to play, that was also a moment. Grandma didn't hug me, only Aunt Ameena loved me" Dita said. Making Mikael surprised apparently the child could feel the treatment of his family.
Mikael hugged him. "My mother left, rarely came. Then came the new mother and she also left again, I can't call her Mom." Tangis Dita in her father's arms. Mikael could only be speechless not saying anything.
"There is a father who will always be by your side" Mikael said.
She hugged Dita tightly.
"I'm sorry, Daddy. All of this happened because it was Dad who did the wrong thing and you who had to bear the consequences."
Ariana eavesdropped on the father and son from behind the wall. He could only wipe away the tears that had come out. His heart began to waver and dilemma with everything that happened.
After persuading long Dita finally the boy wants to go to school. Mikael then carried her to the car. He was surprised to see, Ariana who was sitting at the table while carrying her small bag. Where's the big bag?
Seeing Ariana Dita instead hid her face on Mikael's neck and tightened her embrace. Ariana's up.
"I've been waiting for you guys for a long time, my college will be late and Mr. Professor will kick me out of his class. Ariana draped the bag over her shoulder and held the map containing the tasks completed by Mikael. The man gave the task, he finished it.
They walked into the trunk of the car. Get in the black sedan.
"You come with me and let your father drive" Ariana said.
Dita looked doubtful, she looked at her father's face first. Mikael nodded his head. Dita's hand then stretched out to Ariana and the woman then hugged him and entered the front seat of the passenger.
"I.. Tan.. not angry?" tanya Dita ventured when the car started to walk away from the house.
"Why should I be mad at a child as sweet as you are" Ariana said.
"Ehm, Tan-te wants to go" said Dita a little afraid.
"I'm really going. To the campus together with your father," replied Ariana looking into small eyes that looked surprised but seemed relieved.
"Mother ... eh Aunt will be home again?" ask Dita. Ariana was silent looking at Dita's innocent eyes. He seemed to see himself being frightened from losing his late mother first.
"You want me to stay or go?'' back Ariana.
"I want to I ... Aunty's home with me, "Dita hugs Ariana's neck tight. There was a warm feeling when Dita hugged him. Feeling that the child needs him most.
"Then I'll stay for a while" Ariana said.
"Why not forever?"
"Because I'm getting married to a man?"
"A prince?" his imagination began to move.
"Yes, handsome prince."
"Wouldn't it be that the mother and father were married princesses and princes with children, as in the fairy tale you read?" tanya Dita made Ariana speechless. This kid did go down the brain of his smart father.
"The marriage is only in the story or fairy tale in fact the princess lives alone and needs a prince who accompanies her." Mikael glanced at Ariana. At least she felt relieved that Ariana had abandoned her intention to leave now.
"Why doesn't the Princess just go to the King's house and live with her son?'' mikael's chirps made the two women stare at him.
"Yes, the princess will have friends and be a beautiful queen," continued Dita made Ariana stuck in her own answer.
