Guarding the Heart

Guarding the Heart
Reno Plan

After meeting at the hotel yesterday Hasna invited Adinda to meet alone. Hasna hopes Adinda can understand her feelings.

"Sin, how? Hasna wanted to invite me to meet in Kampung Bambu before she checked out of the hotel" asked Adinda on the break.

"Yes, meet him. You must have an attitude if he is determined to ask permission to be the second" replied Sinta while chuckling. Adinda pursed her lips listening to Sinta's last words.

"Your risk, have a handsome husband and have a lot of fans from High School first, right" murmured Sinta.

Adinda just stoned. What should he prepare to face Hasna later. That is the mind of Adinda.

Returning from school, Adinda went straight to Kampung Bambu where Hasna invited her to meet. Adinda had already told Dimas that she had an appointment with her friend, so Dimas didn't have to pick her up for school.

Before entering the place Hasna had ordered, Adinda took a deep breath and exhaled. Adinda tries to calm herself down to not be emotional later.

"Bismillah. I have to quickly resolve this matter" said Adinda as she walked.

"His dream he has come first" muttered Adinda whispered then approached Hasna who was sitting sweetly waiting for his arrival. Hasna smiled in greeting to Adinda's arrival.

"It's been a while?" ask Adinda.

"Not really. Be sitting. What do you want to order?" hasna is friendly.

"No, Na. I'm still full" refused Adinda smooth. In this situation how could he eat in peace.

"At least order a drink, Din" bargained Hasna again.

"Thank you, Na. Straight away. What exactly do you want to talk about?" adinda said to the point, she does not want to linger here.

Dimas certainly did not like the permission of his obscure departure. Adinda did not tell me where she was going.

"Dina. I'm sorry. I didn't know Dimas' wife was you" Hasna said.

"If you knew that woman was me, would you still dare to harbor feelings with my husband?" tanya Adinda seriously stared at Hasna's bead.

Hasna was silent for a moment. "I can't shake that feeling, Din" Hasna quivered.

Hasna gasped to listen to the words of Adinda who was so firm to her.

"Isn't love not true. I can't resist that feeling when I'm present. Since High School that feeling has been there before I moved to another school. Especially when our parents agreed to betroth us, my love was greater for him" explained Hasna slowly.

"The feeling of love is true for every human being. But what is often misused by humans is not putting that love right. You are too hopeful in human love that is not necessarily your soul mate, Na" explained Adinda.

"Din, I want you to understand my feelings. What if you're in my place?" tanya Hasna asked for understanding from Adinda.

"If I were in your position, I wouldn't cultivate feelings that aren't necessarily mine. Matter of soul mate I believe in God's destiny, Na. Not your own feeling!!" answer Adinda directly.

Adinda could not smile anymore in front of Hasna who still could not accept the reality.

"Din, help me not to be more sinful because of this feeling" Hasna's hand pulled on the table.

"How?" ask Adinda confused. How he should help Hasna.

"I have no problem being Dimas' second wife" Hasna said without sin. Hasna's shame went nowhere until she could speak like that.

Adinda's eyes glared at Hasna's courage in saying the same thing she said in the food court the other day. She slowly pulled her hand from Hasna's.

"I'm just an ordinary man not an angel-hearted woman, Na. Me, the woman who can't share a husband with anyone. Why would you be second in our household if Dimas only loved me. Wake up from your dreams and forget your love. I'm sorry, Na. I can't. Excuse me!!" adinda said with a firm tone.

She hurried away from Hasna. It's free that he sits there for a long time. Hasna will not listen to him again. The woman was blinded by one-sided love.

She would rather sacrifice her friendship than her husband. This life is not like in soap operas, where a woman who seems sincerely her husband remarries his own best friend while his heart aches.

Hasna stared at Adinda's departure with tears rolling down the corner of her eyes.

"Oh my God, what have I done?" hasna muttered painfully holding tightness in her chest.

"Why do I always lose to Adinda. Why!!"

Hasna wiped her tears and left Kampung Bambu and returned to the hotel with a wound in her heart because of her own actions.
