Whatever we do is simply because of God. Likewise in human relations. How much love for someone if intended worship will certainly bring good. Love in Islam can be shown to anyone, including when love grows to the opposite sex.

Al Alamah Abadiy said that the meaning of “Both charity is love because Allah” is because He is not because of other purposes such as attraction and doing good. Among the necessities of loving because God is to love His guardians and chosen ones. And among the conditions of their love is to follow in the footsteps and obey God.

While the meaning of “hate because Allah” is because of things that deserve to be hated such as wickedness, injustice, perpetrators of obedience. Ibn Ruslan said in “Sharh as Sunan” that there is a proposition that it is obligatory for a person to have an enemy whom he hates because of Allah as required for him to have friends who are loved because of Allah.

It is clear that if you love someone, it is because that person obeys God and becomes a lover of God. When the man acts against Him, we must hate him because he has acted against God and became a man that God hates.

"He who loves for one reason should hate things that are contrary to that cause. these two qualities have become inseparable habits and he demands love and hate in his habits." (Aunul Ma’bud juz XII p 248)

Blessed is he who is able to do this because he is the true proof of his faith and Islam. Imam Malik said that the love of God is among one's Islamic obligations.

So every believer is freed to love anyone among all beings. But don't overdo it. For they will part with him. Let not a believer occupy his heart with the pleasures of the mortal world of wives, children, possessions, etc. Because everything is a titep.

“This is an important discussion, so that we do not fall asleep. For the glory of the believer is his charity. And the honor for him is not to beg,”
